That entire scene where Jodhaa puts her conditions before the Emperor has a lot of unsaid implications. A) Akbar is now at a stage where he doesn't easily give in to opinions (case-in-point, him sending his general, the man who essentially brought him up as an orphaned ruler, off to a pilgrimage)
    B) I don't know if this is factually correct but Akbar did have a temper.
    C) whether Hindu or Muslim, every conquerer hoped to have their own religion be the dominant one in their province. Jodhaa asking to be allowed to keep her faith was a huge deal. Especially since women were (and still are) expected to follow the faith of their husbands.
    D) Idol worship is haraam in Islam. By asking to bring her God's idol for worship with her, Jodhaa expected (or wished) Akbar to immediately reject her marriage proposal. You can see it in her face when Akbar announces his acceptance, she looks defeated. Her conditions were her one last hope in preventing this marriage from happening.

      Utter RUBBISH.
Akbar was married to princess Hira Kunwari, the eldest daughter of Raja Bihari Mal, the ruler of Amer. She was publicly forced to convert to islam and was renamed "Wali Nimat Begum", though in private she was allowed to keep a temple. After she gave birth to Jehangir, Akbar titled Hira, Mariam-Uz-Zamani.
She however was a remarkable lady and was an outstanding wife, mother and Business women. She was the foundation on which the Mughal empire grew. After her decline the mughal's decline started too.

They are good but when you sit with an intention to show off one liners in every scene, it just washes the intensity of some scenes. Like from 13:10 to the end it's just a one liner on every single dialogue or action. Hope that's not the case with many such intense scenes further in

I'd suggest you to rise above modi, yogi, bhakt, whatsapp university jokes, and first educate yourself. I'm sure, you're ignorant enough to not know that after capturing the Chittorgarh fort, Akbar ordered the massacre of 30,000 hindu civilians who were innocent and had nothing to do with war. It's not a made-up story, you can search about it. This is just one example of his barbarism. You're yet to learn history.

These Turkish and Uzbek invaders known as Mughals are the reason we lost from British and lost so many lives and wealth. Our Indian warriors and kings had to keep fighting these foreign invading monsters and did not get chance to work on innovation and technology. By the time British came we were so much behind. By the time we defeated Auragazeb the last Mughal, we were using swords against British modern guns.🇮🇳

In Islam idol worshipping is strictly prohibited . Jodha intentionally put that condition so that Jalal himself calls off the marriage . Nobody had the slightest idea that Jalal would agree to keep Shri Krishna's idol in his palace.
Edit: according to some written documents Emperor Akbar with his Hindu queens used to celebrate hindu festivals like Holi , Deepavali . He often performed Yagnas ( Hindi holy rituals) . He was illiterate, but valued the knowledge of all the existing religions.
'Akbar' means ' the greatest' and so was he .

The story is biased, Akbar was a good king compared to other Mughals, but he never looked like Hrithik.. The turko-mughal rulers rather looked like more chinese, the story of the film is very inaccurate from historical point of view (as these Mughal invaders were tyrants and mass-murderers), still the songs are very good , A R Rahman did magic ❤️

You were wrong Jaby, Even though there were small kingdoms, they recognised the integrity of single geographic unit, India. King to administer whole Indian subcontinent from Himalaya in north to Indian Ocean in south was given title of "Chakravarti". Like Chakravarti Smarat (King) Ashoka.

Akbar was another ruthless Mughal emperor. This movie was a big hit only because it was well made. But it was nowhere near to real History and they showed how weak Rajputs were and how good Akbar was.
If u read history you will see how brave Rajputs like Maharana Pratap were. Even Jijamata (mother of Shivaji Maharaj) used to tell the stories of Bravery of Maharana Pratap to him that's where the Idea of Swaraj (free land from foreign rulers) take birth and rest is History.
