I was changing my shock absorbers today and the drive shaft wasn’t attached to the car. The driveshaft/ axle fell out of place and oil started spilling out. I pushed axle back in. Please tell me what I do next? Is pushing the drive shaft back in and adding transmission oil the right thing to do. Or do I need to take to shop to add seals or something like that? Thank yo
Bonne travail ,merci

Hi, if the car doesn't lost to much oil, you don't need to add mer oil immediately. Just push the driveshaft in his place

On 8:57 , Is the driveshaft atached to the chassis there?
Yes, the right side only
What he should have told you is the engine mount is attached to the engine and the two part drive shaft goes through it into the gearbox
Yes that's true, but it's too late now.
Do you need to remove gearbox oil to remove the second shaft?
Yes, it must do this before removing. You will lose the oil
@@EASYWAYCAR So even if doing right side shaft only? (long one). Also is the gearbox dran bolt a normal socket. Thank you! doing this tomorrow :)
It's same if you remove the shaft from gearbox. If you remove just the reight outer part, you don't need to drain the oil
you seemed to just pull out the shaft...so easy?...
Yes, it's easy
