It's so funny for me to hear that you've been bringing your family to that park for years because I grew up there and back then there was no park there, it was like most of Rohnert Park, a field full of Jack rabbits. I'm 59 and graduated from Rancho Cotati high so although I'm obviously older than you, but we're not talking ancient history here lol. 😎
I’m trying to move back in 5 yrs or so. Grew up in rp but lived in Santa Rosa most of adult life until 4 yrs ago. Now I’m in Oklahoma with a home worth almost 100k. I’d probably have to get a mobile in a park and rent a room to a friend to offset the land lease. Hope to find one available in the 150k range at that time, who knows though
I hope you don't mind a random question. The only way I could ever afford a home in Sonoma County or the surrounding area is to buy a mobile/manufactured home. And it seems like almost every mobile home for sale in California is in a mobile home park, and not on a piece of property by itself. And the primary issue for me with mobile home parks is that you have to pay space rent for as long as you live there, and some space rents are pretty steep. Are there some kind of zoning laws that make it difficult to buy a piece of land and put a small mobile or manufactured home on it? Thanks in advance for any info you might have.
Hey Karl! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I love the random questions keep them coming! That’s why I’m here. There are a lot of mobile home parks here and yes some parks space rents can be high. Every piece of land is different in terms of what it will allow on it. No special zoning laws that I’m aware of, it’s just, some allow a mobile and some don’t. I can tell you, it is possible. Where do you currently live?
@@LivingInSonomaCounty Thank's for that. I currently live in Arkansas and it's quite common to see mobile homes for sale that are on their own piece of property and not necesssarily in a park.

Thanks for watching! I have to agree it’s such a fun little city!!
Is there a police station and crosswalks? Are there any cows?
Yes, yes and not sure of the cows.. why do you ask?
I did not see cows, but the "Sonoma aroma" will remind you of them 👌

My pleasure. Yeah I totally get that I know it’s common in other areas
