      @@AmericanOutbackAmazing Old Town has Arts Alive first Sat night of every month. Businesses stay open. Featured artists in all the different businesses and live music and food trucks. They started Friday Night Market just before Covid and it was starting to really pop off. They just started it back up again this summer. Bands, food, vendors. it's pretty cool.

      not sure, i herd it was pretty and wanted to visit on my Cali trip but we turned around after SF, shame really. I herd the drive there is nice. I was just cracking up when you said we should make houses for the homeless. National problem here in Florida its even wrost than Cali because the state offers no help. sad for real. and we got a fent crisis in Florida worst than Cali. @@AmericanOutbackAmazing

      So true, compassion is not letting people die on the street it is trying to help them and not giving up.

    go 2 more blocks on 2nd instead of turning left towards the water and you'd have seen the most photographed Victorian house in California, and perhaps in the United States, the William Carson Mansion. womp. next time I guess.

    I suggested a new Eureka slogan to the city council - "Eureka's Methed Up!" - but they didn't go for it.

      Not many, probably less than 1%. Two Chinese families that have been in the area for generations. Some Hmong refugees were settled there; one Japanese-American doctor. I can’t think of any others….It’s mostly white but in the past 10-15 years a fair number of Hispanics have moved in.

    I was born and raised there but moved away. I always thought I’d eventually move back, but when I go to visit family it’s really sad how the town has deteriorated with drug-addled bums begging and stealing everywhere. But I know that most of CA is like that now. So called “homeless” which are in fact drug addicts which is the reason for their being homeless. If you provided them with homes they would rip out the appliances, pipes, wiring and flooring; sell it all to buy drugs and then crap on the floor and shoot drugs all day. Im glad I live in the mid-West, where we run people like that out of town with a one-way bus ticket to CA.

    Yea, live here just don't leave any valuable items in your car. Keep doors locked while driving and watch out for the crazy, doped out homeless that will try and get into your car when at a red light.

    I grew up there. Graduated from Eureka High School, College of the Redwoods and went to Humboldt State. It’s a beautiful area and was a wonderful place to grow up and explore the entire area. I pray that when the people of California get tired of the havoc created by the Democrats ruining everything and vote in people who love the state it will once again be the home I loved. Does that sign at the entrance to the city still say the population is 28,000? It has said that since I was 12 and I am 72 today.

    • @AmericanOutbackAmazing
      @AmericanOutbackAmazing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, Wikipedia says that the population is 27k so the sign is pretty much correct. I to hope that things get better there, it is such a beautiful area. I hope you are doing well and have a great Christmas :)

    I used to work at Eureka Natural food. What a joke. If you’re a real man and done real man jobs, you’ll immediately be a threat to all the so called “men” there. They tried every way possible to break me, I just ate it and smiled and asked for more, eventually I was being blamed for things that happened to other people when I was at home.😂 I laughed at them in their faces. Born and raised in Humboldt since 69 and that has to the most undesirable place to live in California. Deadbeats everywhere.

      I know someone who worked at ENF for almost 15 years, ever since graduating high school. When he was diagnosed with diabetes they fired him. The people who own that store are slime. I wouldn’t set foot in the place.
