Yep, that was understatement of the year so far 😂
He needs to lay off the Tesla fan-boying.
My car drives me around by itself. I love my car and I still believe in the company. I hope we dip close to $100-$120 again. I wanna load the boat. Apart from Tesla what would be the best 5 etfs for a beginner
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.3m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first million with a liquid 200k.handed it to a trader here in CA, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.
Good picks, Smart strategy for beginners, Please can you share this Expert with me.

I've known Kath since my early days as an investor. She trades for me and advised me to diversify dividends to 50% FXAIX, 25% SCHD, and 25% QQQM, which has been great. I highly recommend her.
Good buys, 50% FXAIX, 25% SCHD, and 25% QQQM. this diversification is FIRE she definitely knows what she is doing.
EV's threat to shut down his site -if this rumour is true- is the modern day equivalent of "I'll eat my shorts".
Yes, over hyped as per usual in the modern tech. area.
You, and others like you, just need to get over it, he has to make a living because of his personal situation, and people like yourself do not have to subscribe or comment, you could also start your own channel and show him how easy it really is. Go for it, after all, it is a free world you know.
No specific mention of Cybertruck, so I don’t know if you’ll be shutting down your channel or not! But Tesla DID just announce that they are laying off more than 14,000 workers which is roughly equal to 10% of its current global workforce.
which they have done before.
the decimation of tech work force is literally standard practice at some companies.
They make workers submit their projects and the bottom 10% are lopped off.. even if they make the company money. Its about getting rid of the lowest performing workers and replacing them with newer cheaper hungry workers.
It prevents entrenchment and stagnation
I don't know you but this is not a joke. People got laid off and it hit close to home
My gf was 1 of them and they laid off gm's and other staff. I knew it was real when the big boss from Florida flew to Atlanta and she didn't know herself
No one is saying getting laid off is a joke, just that the whole story is over hyped as usual. All Tesla former employees that are good at their jobs will be rehired somewhere, there are a million jobs going wanting.
Tesla is cutting thousands of jobs (about 10% of its work force). My brother in law worked in Tesla's solar panel install sector for several years, and was just laid off. This is corporate wide, not just about Cybertruck sales.
2024 Q1 earning report must be very bad.
14k globally. Viking needs to shut down this propoganda channel now
Tesla solar panel systems are too expensive and there is a lot of competition in this field, however Tesla EV's is a different story for they are leaders in the EV space with the Tesla Y being the best selling car in the world.
@@sohailakmal3384 Maybe just make it a pro-EV channel again and not a TSLA pump channel. Content used to be much better here.
That is the correct interpretation, it is a business decision. Some sectors do better than others. Many companies are doing or are about to do layoffs.
Yup. Just lost my job as a service technician. Even managers and people that have been there for years. I just got back home.
It always sucks that the cost of the poor decisions made by higher-ups, a.k.a Elon Musk, is ultimately borne by lower-level employees. Meanwhile, we have tools like the Electric Clown who continue to gargle musk's balls, regardless of their actions.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you find a job that is even better.
Drew Baglino, Tesla’s SVP of Powertrain and Energy, and Rohan Patel, VP of Public Policy and Business Development have left and about 15,000 were laid off.
Its true Viking. I'm on of the staff and its global not just Texas

It makes 0 sense when they wouldn't even HAVE 10's of thousands of staff on the Cybetruck line! It's just idiocy.
Say what now 😂😂😂😂
Unless he is refering to a different artical, electrek said 10% of work force, with some estimating as high as 20 %
Electrek is a terrible source. It's just a gossip source, that reports "rumors" all the time that turn out to have no basis in fact.
I agreed with Sam and the comment that it does not make sense how there could be ten of thousand of people on the Tesla line, so I looked for the article from Electrek making these ridicolous claims, but according the article they said the total work force, not tesla line. Gossip or not, in all fairness, they did not make the claim mentioned by Sam. Maybe I have the wrong article
@@cherliaandcherrytreat8138 yeah it’s been pretty well confirmed they’re doing a round of layoffs.. Musk has even tweeted about it. But it’s a normal cycle they go through every few years. It has nothing to do with CT demand, or lack of.. now whether the article mentioned the that as their idea as why these layoffs are occurring, as Sam said.. idk.. but IF they suggested that’s the reason, that’s just complete BS
Just got a message from a friend saying massive Tesla layoff today and turning workers away at the gate.
Did Tesla already deliver the 2,000,000 pre orders???
So many have pulled out... It was more expensive and less range.
@@chrisschneider7609 Yeah Im pretty sure the range on the cyber truck is going to go up every year. So people on the 2 3 4 year waiting list will get the higher range versions. And yeah most likely end up paying a bit more. Cyber trucks going for over 140k in auctions.

"when the hate don't work, they start telling lies" -French Montana
The lies are being told by Sam. If you read Electrek's actual article, they cite Musk's own email, in it's entirety, announcing 10%+ staff cuts. Electrek says nothing about these cuts being the consequence of Cybertruck collapse. Sam invented that out of thin air.
isn't the process: denial, anger, lying, depression, acceptance
What is the lie? Electrek's reporting was confirmed by an memo from Elon. Sam misconstrued some of what Electrek said, but their reporting was accurate.
Except the person lying is Sam. If you read the actual Electrek article you'll see that Sam fabricated what it said. The article quotes a Musk email, in it's entirety, announcing 10%+ layoffs. The article said nothing.... zero.... about these cuts being the result of a drop off in Cybertruck demand. Sam invented that so he could easily debunk it. Pure click bait.
@@capmarketer5038 Close.

electrek addressed these exact concerns right before you posted. it's confirmed, globally reducing the headcount by over 10%...
I was one of the layoffs 😔
Elon: "As part of this effort, we have done a thorough review of the organization and made the difficult decision to reduce our headcount by more than 10% globally. There is nothing I hate more, but it must be done. This will enable us to be lean, innovative and hungry for the next growth phase cycle."
And your heading for this post is not clickbait?
Dishonest.
Well I just read the article in question, and I remember it saying "ten thousand" not "tens of thousands" and the layoffs were corporate wide not a single factory.
Always forgetting that Elon does this from time to time.
Third paragraph mentions rumors “about layoffs as high as 20% of the workforce, which would mean tens of thousands of employees.”
I literally just left a Tesla battery distribution center in NY where they had a massive firing.

My Tesla tech for this area, me and him have been chatting. Aunt, he still had to come and fix. One more thing. He just told me he got laid off this morning! And showed me the mass layoff text he received and how he was laid off effective today. Said he received it at 2:00 a.m. Alabama, U S.
Apparently some folks did not know that they were laid off until they showed up for work.
Build one of the most niche. Weirdly design trucks in the world. Quality appears to be suffering.
People all over are broke, working multiple jobs to make ends meet.
Demand is limited...
Who is shocked?
you lost me there, if people are working multiple jobs and and are broke, what has that got to do with the very expensive cyber truck?
Just Left the gigafactory Nevada. Terminated employees were turned away. I dont work for tesla, but in the same building.

There are a couple running around my area in SCal.
It's now being reported on the BBC that Tesla is laying off more than 10% of it's workforce, that's at least 14,000 employees. But I see you cleverly worded you title to mention 'tens of thousands' which I guess you could interpret as meaning at least 20,000.

Since those 2m pre orders were made, the limitations of the F150 Lightning have come out. Useless as a truck, even current cybertruck owners admit using them as commuters. That said, 1% of 2 million is 20K, enough for a year of lean production.
From The Guardian (UK) -
Tesla to cut 14,000 jobs as Elon Musk aims to make carmaker ‘lean and hungry’
Billionaire says ‘there is nothing I hate more’ than cutting staff as more than 10% of workforce to be affected
I have a pre-order on a Tesla Cybertruck, but that was for a single motor (entry level) one for the initial estimated price of US$ 40,000, which they don't have nor plan to make yet. I would much rather buy a Ford Lightning truck if the battery technology would improve on it, since it is a more practical truck. The price difference between a Cybertruck and a Lightning would also favour the Lightning truck. However, I don't want to spend US$ 75,000 on a Ford Lightning when in 10 years battery degradation is so bad that it will need a new battery at a cost of US$ 32,000 plus labour.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 u bought a cybertruck
I bought byd seal
unfortunately tec in batteries is moving so fast these days, American vehicles will be left behind unless they team up with Chinese manufacturers. Sad but true, unless there is another solution available in the very near future?
@@TerryHickey-xt4mf The solution would be that America develop its own EV battery technology and with sufficient R&D and using existing Chinese and Korean technology as a base improve currently available Chinese/ Korean EV batteries.
I have been waiting for the cybertruck for 4 years. I canceled it since it is not coming to Europe. You can make a new channel: The Diesel Vicking!!!
I very much doubt if we will see it down under in right hand drive for some time. However! if we do, it does mean the fever demand was indeed fluff and excitement that was off the scale when it launched, but now .............................? watch this space.
Yep, it’s true.
I’m queued up from a couple of years ago and haven’t heard anything from Tesla.
The eV-1 worked and everybody loved it.
It may not be CT directly related, but it is now being widely reported that Tesla will be laying off 10% of their workforce. This is something they also did in 2019, so not the first time...
Electrek didn't say that it was just Cybertruck-related.
A lot of Tesla car and truck owners, have had a catalogue problems.Rust, touch screen failure, suspension collapse, systems failure, pedal cover falling off, potentially jamming pedal, etc.Bound to effect future sales.
Quote off BBC website Tesla told employees who work on the Cybertruck that shifts will be shorter on the production line at the Austin.
How many staff are employed at the Texas plant, would be the starting point I think.
Hypocrite🤣🤣🤣
Putting aside the Cybertruck, which at this point is not material to Tesla's business, even with enthusiatic demand, Tesla is experiencing Global softness in sales. This is really based on much weaker demand in China, but no exclusively so. Wedbush, CNBC and others are reporting that the portion of the headline that is true, is that of large layoffs. Of Tesla's 140,000 head count, the company will layoff 10%, or 14.000, which is a lot considering that EV demand was expected to grow.
Please don''t shut down the channel. We all enjoy the informative and well researched presentation. Cheers.
he won't
I actually saw a screenshot of an email from Elon saying they will layoff 10% of staff globally in order to prepare for next growth phase. That would mean about 14k. Is that enough for you to close the channel or is the limits 20k? 😅

the image doesn't even tell where it came from. like can you even read the word? 🤨
Tesla has always been 'churning' employees. Every year it drops a bunch and then hires back in areas where they are needed.
@@danharold3087 exactly
Sam fabricated the story to "debunk" it. Musk did say Tesla plans a 10%+ staff cut. He did NOT say it's because of Tesla demand collapse. The Electrek article gives Musk's email in its entirety.
I wonder if these stories are a prelude to shorting the stock?
Sold out for the year would be a disaster…their conversion rates less than 1/100 pre orders. That means they will likely be though 2 million pre orders after just 1-2 years of production. They expected to be making hundred of thousands a year and that’s just not happening
Well I have not got mine yet, I'm 1,500,000 away, so they best not quit till I got it. The 1,499,999 ahead of me could please me by getting out of the way!

I agree, I'm 2.7 million away according to Cybertruck Owners Club.
@reginald7214 I do what I want. You do what you want. I want 1 of every vehicle and that my business.
I’m 275k in line
If cyber truck demand has collapsed why haven’t I moved way up the list and received an email. I’m like about 500k on the list.
People fail to realize it isnt tesla demand thats a problem, its a demand in general, stellantis, ford gm have all laid off, tesla is built to play for the long game when the have so much cash on hand and no debt, unlike every other manufacturer their cars are sitting on lots depreciating before they even have a chance to sell
The Cybertruck was announced with much fanfare and many pre-orders taken. Then...it took around 4 years for the first production vehicles to be delivered and a couple things happened that seems to have dampened the enthusiasm. First is they cost a LOT more than originally promised which turned a lot of people off....and what is being delivered isn't meeting expectations either so I believe many have cancelled their orders or aren't accepting delivery when their truck is ready. Once the initial glow wears off they will have to stand on their own merits and EV's in general are proving to be a niche market despite all the demands of government that we all switch over to them. It isn't going to happen and all the money spent on EV development is going to bankrupt many companies.
The beauty is the more they sell the less people will want one.
BS I didn't get mine yet 724,000 in line..................
Well it is 10% of the global workforce (14000 persons). So it looks like you have to shut down the channel. Does this mean the Tshirts are now half price?
PS for Cybertruck 7 day delivery delay as it is constructed as a death trap.
The cybertruck is a loss maker so limit production. Demand for 3 and Y have declined. So time to cut costs
Welp turns out that wasn’t clickbait

Ummm… from someone who lives in America, I can tell you a large percentage of the people I know feel that the hype of the cyber truck is over. Practical problems with the design, and all of the other problems that it has been having… A lot of people are reconsidering here, so the article might be true.
Personally, I’ve never been a fan… The thing is just Elon’s ego gone wild. Its parochial design is obscenely ugly, it’s not practical, not to mention he made a lot of promises that weren’t delivered with the “truck”.
In fact… Many of us are changing our minds about Elon in general, not wanting to buy a product from a man who ruined Twitter for a one… And they just don’t agree with his politics and perspective on so-called freedom of speech.
Gosh I live in America too. Do not see what your saying. Undelivered promises is vastly overplay and somehow only seems to apply to Tesla. The only people I see reconsidering are TH-cam creators that did not get the truck in time to make a bundle of money making videos about it. The bulk of people are waiting for the Foundation series to finish production.
@@danharold3087 I understand where you’re coming from brother… But America’s a big place of course. Might just be the region I live. Time will tell I suppose ;)
Hm, I mean, I would understand that they have a lack of some parts and therefore cannot ramp up production, but to say there's not enough demand seems rather off, yeah.
Time to bring in the robots?!?
They haven't even finished with the extra-$20k edition yet, have they? I'm somewhere around 300-400,000 on the list. If everyone is refusing to follow through then I'll get called soon. I don't think so.
Can’t speak to the layoffs, but I believe the CyberTruck will sell well to rich folk, definitely won’t change the pickup industry as Musk stated. But, I don’t think they’re having success mass producing, too difficult, and their could be lots of technical and production issues with the product we don’t know about, that Tesla does. Just my guess…
All sources of information need to be screened. What is the motive? Short selling? Buying the rumors selling on the news? Click bait, to drive more views, short term gains, long term pain.
Thanks!
