How long is your refrigerant line? Typically they have a min length required. Tosot I believe is made by Greer. I think Mr. Cool is made by Midea. Both good units but different. Noise levels and min operating conditions are different. May or may not be important to some people. Looks great thanks for the video.
@@rbc4499 16 ft refrigerant line. If that’s too long you can cut and flare the ends yourself. But I used the factory flares and just coiled up the extra slack.
@@unpluggedtexan 1. your air handler is crooked (although, I suspect, it could be level and your house crooked) 2. the hole for the line set from the house is poor (you mention this already in the video) 3. the wrap on the line set was not done 4. the curl (coil) on the line set is incorrect which will allow for pooling excess should be sideways (horizontal) 5. crease on pressure line (you also mention this) 6. Nylog Blue should also be applied on the opposite side of the flair the comes into contact with the union nut 7. did you use the union nuts that came with the unit or on the line set? there is a reason Tosot provides their own union nuts as the line set comes from a different mfg. I did not watch the electrical or the line set vacuum so there could be more and yes I understand you are a DIYer...me too I have done several of these and I am not perfect and have made mistakes. I am here because I have never installed a 2 ton unit but have done several 1 ton - I was hoping to see if there were any differences for the install across the two units....BUT i do have a question for you...the suction line (the bigger of the two copper lines running back to the compressor) it seems to be articulated th-cam.com/video/hTfT5QjBI2g/w-d-xo.html did that come with the unit or was that separate...sorry in advance if this was mentioned in the video.

@@djcory2727 yes it does. It requires a double pole 25amp breaker. 240 volts.
sorry man this install is horrible.
@@tlfreek would love to hear what was horrible about it. I’m just a DIY’er so constructive criticism is welcomed.
