Awesome video. I talked to Maegan on phone and she walked me through on setting the remote control and converting the Celsius to Fahrenheit in a couple of easy steps she was very professional and I would advice anyone to call their supply house for any questions. Highly Recommendations. Thanks Maegan!

Good video…love the views of both sides. Easiest video to understand from all I’ve watched. From what I know you aren’t supposed to crank down really tight on the flare fitting because you will crack them. This is true for the vacuum pump too because there is a plastic o ring that gets hyper compressed and ruined if tightened too much.
Also the coils need to be coiled horizontally as to not allow a build up of oil in the loops.
    Great vid

Glad it was helpful, the oil trap has been disproved by engineers, I don’t have the link available now but I will look for it. We coil the excess lines vertically with no issues.

Excellent video. Thanks. Only one question, for clarification.... did you start the unit BEFORE you released the refrigerant? Wouldn't that build up an awful amount of head pressure in it, or is this a more-sophisticated compressor than the old 1990s dinosaurs using R22 that I've monkeyed with in the past?

Great Video! I am considering installing one of these in an RV. I was trying to see on the video, is it possible to run the lines and drain tube out the side of the head unit instead of the back as long as the drain tube is at an downward angle? I would like to run the lines inside the coach and out through the floor to the compressor which would be mounted on a stand in front of the trailer. The lines would run under the trailer and thus not seen until they come up to the compressor.

Well this sucks. My unit has the flexible drain tube on the opposite side of the lineset. Is that a manufacturing defect? Leaking on the inside like a sunova. Not sure how to even try to fix this now that everything is hooked up. Are there possible two outlets on the drain pan and I can open this up and move the drain hose over to the other side where everything else runs out directly?

I figured it out if anyone is interested. Pretty obvious albeit annoying solution. Once I got the cover off I could tell the easiest solution is to just drill a small hole through the other side and route the drain pipe into some pvc mounted to the wall. Easy enough to cut the flex drain tubing and have enough length to make it into the pvc pipe.
