you guessed right, they made a 22 WMR. I have one. the 22mag version has 0 MOA Picatinny scope base. and comes with a 15-round BX-15® Magnum magazine. Only a 19inch drop at 200 yards. Barrel twist 1:14" RH

Thank you for this in depth review. Watched it several times waiting for my 22 mag version to arrive. You called it on the larger ejection port!

Excellent detail of features in your review. I’m looking at this almost a year after your review and sure enough your prediction came true with Ruger adding other rimfire calibers. The long bolt throw will accommodate the longer cartridges.

mine holds a half inch group at 300 yrds.the only change made was a Geissele two stage target trigger which was priced higher that the rifle but the results are absolutely amazing

You mention a possible 22mag or 17hmr chambering, if you look in the chassis you will see where the aluminium block, with a little modifications, can be set further back. There are 2 indents in the chassis. That could give room for the 22mag rotary magazine.

Excellent reviews man, I agree that they totally should’ve included a short piece of rail. My trigger is at 2lbs exactly according to my wheeler gauge. I also put a MOE grip just for storage.

Curious what your final “build” looked like. Did you add any accessories or aftermarket parts?

Great, thorough walk around...waiting for mine,....uh-oh....the only variable left is the shooter!
Speaking of which, I would like to mount a diopter sight....should I have the barrel drilled and tapped, or mount the front globe on the guard?

I'm no pro but it is much easier to remove the clip on the bolt opposite to the method shown. pop the side with the 2 "ears" out of the slot and rotate toward the clip.

Not sure if I missed it, but what scope are you using in these videos for this rifle?

    • @GunsumerReports
      @GunsumerReports  6 ปีที่แล้ว

Burris 200464 MTAC 4.5-14 x 42 Tactical Scope... they are discontinued by Burris, but if you are lucky you can find them at a great price. Amazon has two in stock for $270 and they are worth every penny at that price. I didn't do a scope review because of the discontinued status.

GunsumerReports just wanted to say thanks for such an awesome review. I am new to all this precision rifle stuff and one day want to get into long range shooting. I wish I had 1% of the knowledge you have in shooting and ammo. Thanks again.

Outstanding review. As of today, Ruger has indeed announced sale of the .17 HMR and .22 WMR chambering for this rifle. You called it. My question would be: Is it possible to simply swap out barrels and have chambering in multiple calibers? Or would one have to buy a complete new Ruger RPR to go back and forth between calibers?

Alll of Ruger’s rimfire firearms can be dry fired with no interference to the firing pin.

Triple the price in Australia. That’s our government not wanting law abiding citizens to own something like this. Even though it is just a bolt action.

Well, it's amazing how those who have no problem pontificating on a gun makers products ! You are not qualified to do so !!
There is a balance to market price and cost of production, leaving a bit for profit !!!
You along with so many should run your own business, then get a reality check .
Too many winners on TH-cam .......
    Cheers

Brian Harrigan wow he was giving his opinion and a review of a firearm most likely for people that aren’t that educated. I guess you didn’t like the video and I guess it made you feel better to try and put him in his place. If you don’t like or agree with a video keep it to yourself you sound like a dick.
