Hi there! I have two questions. First, how much erythritol you use for this recipe? And what could we use instead of casein powder and whey vanilla powder? Because I don't use both of them.
@@ngel-ast6756I have bought felu's cookbook and I also cook low calorie cakes. You can use normal flour/oat flour/whole wheat flour instead of protein powders. If you want to use protein powders just not whey and casein, consider vegan/pea protein powder and some coconut flour. Coconut flour will absorb a lot of water similar to casein powder so don't add too much. As for erythritol, it depends on your taste how much you use. I would go for 100-125 grams but I like my cakes SUPER sweet.
I made this recipe almost as is, but I added half of a ripe banana to the wet mixture before blending, and I used 114g unsweetened apple sauce (like what he used in the overnight oats recipe) instead of real apple. It turned out delicious. Just repeated the recipe with some add-ins. I made a 1.5x size recipe for everything, with apple sauce instead of the fresh apples. I added 1 whole ripe banana to the wet blended ingredients. Then I added to the mixed batter about 1/3 of a whole apple peeled and finely diced, plus about 1 cup of blueberries. It had to cook longer, so I cooked the whole thing at 325 deg. F for around 40-45 minutes. Turned out amazing!
I make a muffin with a similar recipe using greek yogurt, so I imagine so. Cottage cheese is salty while Greek yogurt isn't, so you may want to add a pinch
Is there a good plant based substitute for the cheese? I'm lactose intolerant, and usually even lactose free stuff doesn't work for me so I switched to plant based items (Iso Whey luckily works). Many recipes require cheese or jogurt and I feel like I'm missing out :D
It has a slightly more noticeable flavour than cottage cheese - but not by much and you could probably iust put in some vanilla extract or more spice to offset it, I would guess. Best of luck dude!
Hi, it seems from your videos that you live in Germany (me too). Could you please let me know where to get Baking Soda? Baking powder (backpulver) is common here but not Baking soda.
@@mightbeme7 It's a bit dry, but it's really tasty for what it is. I recommend putting some fruit chunks in it too. Raisins or apple chunks or the like.
@@hhsyw oat flour is a healthier alternative and will make you fuller, but for me personally oat flour always make things overly dry. Some people like that texture tho, try it out it may be something you like. Me personally I’ll just stick with all purpose
It's 300 calories per serving, he shows the cake cut into thirds. A big slice of cake with 30g protein is plenty for breakfast, particularly if paired with fruit.
Ya, its 300 cal per the size you see in video. Thats 30g carbs and 30g protein. Pretty decent macros. Not the most nutrient dense thing but like its cake for breakfast. I mean who wouldnt be excited to do this from time to time when trying to stay motivated about their deficit? You can keep your caloric goals in check, get your minimum of 30g protein per meal in, and give your mental a break from the mundane for the morning
@@kevinh4042 IC. I'm just always looking for most protein with lowest cals possible and can't seem to beat an egg white and whey shake with a banana in it.

costs too much. 50 euros

Fire vid bro! Been waiting for you to drop a new easy cake recipe. I love how you always recommend alternative ingredients. Gonna be making it soon 🤌🏼
Thank you and I hope you will enjoy the recipe :)
I love your videos. Short, solid, no bs with even alternatives of the recipe you’re showing
Thanks my dude
Glad you like them, thank you!
I am gonna make this tomorrow and see how it turns out! Thanks again!
Hope you enjoy!
Just bought your book after making this 😊 great recipe ❤
Thank you so much!
@@Felu thank you for the great content :)
Thanks for the recipe! Made this 3 times now, once with banana substituted for the apple, really enjoying it 😊
If I have a blend of whey and casein aka SELECT brand, can I use 60 grams of it?
Hello felu. Can i use liquid sweetner instead of the normal one?
Oooh I'll try this with cardamom, I think that'd be nice for a mild taste, and thanks for the cookbok, love it
Please make a video for cookies 🙏🏽
I would love to have you as a personal chef and eat your delicious high protein meals everyday 👏❤️
you have some awesome videos, this is great!
This is the best looking cake you have made so far
Excited to try this
so basically banana bread / carrot cake variation - just with apples :))
Would substituting cottage cheese with Greek yogurt work for the recipe?
I believe so
I make a muffin with a similar recipe using greek yogurt, so I imagine so. Cottage cheese is salty while Greek yogurt isn't, so you may want to add a pinch
Yes, Skyr or greek yogurt both work fine
Can it be frozen?
Danke, bro.
I think you forgot to list the sweetener with the ingredients in the description
It is indeed missing. 30g of erythritol

Silken tofu blends in the same way as cottage cheese, maybe try that? Useful for alot of dairy swaps
@@romjeremy1567 Thank you so much, will look into it. It seems a bit harder to find in my country, but I'm sure it will be worth it

Inject these Felu recipes into my veins
haha
i stored it in the fridge and it came out dry and hard, is it really necessary to store in the fridge?
For me, it's lasted 3 days in a sealed container on the countertop with no sign of mold yet.

You should be able to get them in packs of small sachets at Lidl/Aldi. At least that's the case in the Netherlands.
Incredible
can i add 200g of cottage cheese?
Recently found out I'm intolerant to eggs, cows milk & flax/linseed. If you have any recipe suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Ohhhh, I'm making thia today! Luckily i already have all the ingredients!
I made it, and it was delicious!! I actually went out and bought the book right after!
Thank you so much!
Just a friendly note that the 30g of erythritol is missing from the ingredient list in the description ❤
thanks for the pretty thumbnail
Mine was pretty dry, any advice ?
Did you use casein?
@@Felu i used the 50/50 blend of whey and casein - perhaps I cooked it for too long but mine wasn’t as dark brown as yours when I finished
@@InGameProductionz ok, next time try to reduce the heat to 160 and bake it for 25ish min
I ALWAYS hate protein cakes because they're ALWAYS DRY!... I HOPE this isn't! Gonna try it out for sure, Felu! You never seem to disappoint!

I use a coffee grinder to make my oat flour and it's very convenient.
Thanks for the recipe ❤
Great idea!
How g for one slice
what is the reason for using oat flour instead of all purpose in most these types of recipes? and also do they substitute?
I think that oat flour adds a nice nutty flavor to cake and that is something I like a lot
Sir Can we use the OATS FLOUR instead of ALL PURPOSE FLOUR in a recipe?
If you do that it’s gonna be dry AF
@@canes3156 so it is not good to use it ?
personally, i've never noticed a difference when i sub oats flour in these recipes. i think you should be fine

What is all purpose flour. I live in india here we do not find any flour mentioned like all purpose flour in the stores
where i live, oat flour is cheaper than oats
Would this also make a good pancake batter?
Yes, absolutely!
❤❤❤❤❤
Any reason you didn't just use applesauce instead of a whole apple?
No, I like fresh apples more than sauce but you can absolutely add apple sauce
It's healthier than regular cake, but 900 calories is too much for breakfast..if you eat anything else.

Brother you cant find cottage cheese in my country
Can you get thick yogurt or sour cream?
What aboht greek yogurt?
Kefir!
I was thinking of using milk instead of cheese
why would that be hard? It's all about macros.
this is what i don't care for in your recipes - too many ingredients! two different types of whey protein?! really?
