Life can get quite monotonous sometimes for some of us. May be not everyone can relate to my interpretation of this song or maybe to the song itself. I've never been able to relate myself so much to any other songs like this one. If I were to describe how I feel about this song then it is kinda like having a friend who doesn't exist but understands the situation you're in and gives you company and motivation to keep going despite the negativity that surrounds you. I have a part time job and it feels like going through hell, especially now than ever before. I don't have any passion or interest to do this shit, but I gotta do it. Everything about the job feels so mundane now, like the 1 hour trip to the workplace from my home, seeing same faces everyday, same ads on the way, same people at work, basically everything is very tedious and it feels like it's eating away my life. But this song and all his other songs are a life saver, a secret defense mechanism to cope with the BS around me, IDK?
estoy totalmente deacuerdo con tu interpretacion, pues me sucede algo similar, solo me queda darle las gracias a KK por tam calido mensaje que te deja en esta cancion
When this came out I was 22. Used to be one of my go-to songs when studying in uni and now it's a go-to song for grinding away at work. Hits just as hard for sure and takes me back.

I heard Willow's version first, and I love it. But Idk why I took so long to listen to the original, because this one hits my soul hard, I can literally feel his voice beating against my heart. Chilling and emotional. I'm gonna have to give it up to the original. But both versions are great.
+Martyna Śliwka ....I absolutly know what you mean...remindes me of the time 20 years ago when I was his age and anything was possible while you smoke and u dont worry about whatever.....I miss it so much....
How is it possible to think that HIS voice doesn't fit HIM? It's like saying, sorry but I think your eyes dont fit you. It's something you are born with and there's nothing to fit or not to fit.

Best thing about this vid is how organic it is. Nothing sugar coated,a young kid just chillin around the way, observing life and doing what he does best. for such a young dude his voice is thunder. Reminds me when I was young..king krule, much respect bruv.
I love both this & Willow's cover, they have the same message obviously but too very different feels. This is a bit more rough and rugged, while Willow's harmonies make listening a bit more soothing and relaxing. Either way I love the lyrics in the song!
First saw this when I was like 15 I think, and it completely changed the trajectory of my life. 23 now, getting closer and closer to understanding what makes me happy and fulfilled as each day passes; thanks Archy :)
geistreiches Like, this is a serious question: How the heck can you go 5 years w/out listening to music? Did you mean "did not listen to music on my own" or "did not go out of my way to listen to music"? It's literally impossible to go 5 years w/out listening to music. There's music all around you. What?

Well they just want you for your dough
Man I'm sure I told you so
And with your dead-end job
That's been eating away your life
You feel a little inside
The trouble and strife
And now you spend your evenings
Searching for another life
And yeah I think, mate
I think you've got them in your sights
[Chorus]
Well, easy easy
There's no need to take that tone
Well easy
I'm on the telephone
Man just leave us alone

Ow no I should've kept my receipts
Cause the sandwich I bought
Yeah it's been off for a week
And 'low Tesco's stealing my money
When positivity seems hard to reach
I keep my head down and my mouth shut
Cause if you going through hell
We just keep going

Dude...this is too chill man, I can't see how anyone could hate this.
***** Honestly this song is great but I get tired of hearing his voice
voice ruins it
exactly, i like the instrumental, not British punk
The majority of hate has to do with 3 big factors.
A: Realer personalities tend to pick up more flack compared to a fake one.
B: People cant appreciate other music even when they can't enjoy it so they say shit.
C: This isn't your run of the mill same chord progression pop song it feels a little out of tune and or eerie.
D: Due to lack of education people think there is a real *meaning* to life and that some things should not exist I have to work with these people at a fast food chain and they are ignorant and do not understand simple philosophy of the life they live in and even the most basic function a human could have which is taking care of themselves and maintaining their well being.
I like his tunes but would be great if he pronounced properly..major turn off for new people.

Aubrey's Wife I was able to relate to it until the middle
hahahahahah i relate to this on a spiritual level
The 2000s and early 2010s had underrated music. You dig and you'll find gold.
This is some powerful shit right here, gives me shivers
Rick roll's son.
***** That's Gambino as 'The Boy'.
sounds like 40 years cigarettes and whiskey that is blues
This song reminds me of summer/fall nights with an old love of mine. good days and nights with her
some real londoner working class shit right here, too much
Makes me wanna move to London and be sad for some reason and find love in London
Best thing about this vid is how organic it is. Nothing sugar coated,a young kid just chillin around the way, observing life and doing what he does best. for such a young dude his voice is thunder. Reminds me when I was young..king krule, much respect bruv.
He's dancing with business suit and a cricket bat?? now that is just...Gangsta
“‘Cause if you’re going through hell....
You just keep going’......”
Thank you, Winston Churchill & King Krule. 💙
Willow's cover goes hard, but you can't top Archy
Yea i like willows bit this one is good too
the british rick astley
That awkward moment when Rick Astley is British.
This is easily one of Archies greatest songs ever written. Beautiful lyrics.
did this song get on TV or sumn? it wasnt nearly this popular when it first came out. glad he's getting attention.
P.Diddy has a new music channel on cable in US called "Revolt", That's where I seen it, Great Song!
Brian Rabes Aye, P. Diddy likes this stuff? :O
20 syl remix.
I love both this & Willow's cover, they have the same message obviously but too very different feels. This is a bit more rough and rugged, while Willow's harmonies make listening a bit more soothing and relaxing. Either way I love the lyrics in the song!
When's the last time you listened to this
First saw this when I was like 15 I think, and it completely changed the trajectory of my life. 23 now, getting closer and closer to understanding what makes me happy and fulfilled as each day passes; thanks Archy :)
back for the millionth time. never fucking gets old.
I came here from #Eyewitness! #WeWantEyewitnessSeason2
Has it really been 6 years since getting out of that abusive relationship? I base my memories around songs tbh
cringe
Archy wrote this at 15 years old , come on. Still as good now as it was 8 years ago.
anyone who is into real music knows King Krule. instant icon, enough said
true that
You sound so narrow-minded yes, this is good to my ears and, yours but, what defines real music?
I guess everyone has its own definition of real music. This was just a subjective statement but I agree with it 10000%
Go home, you're drunk
OKABACUS and you don't lol
He needs to come back to this style for reelzzzzz
man just leave us alone
King Krule and Mac Demarco need to collab
While they're both great, I can't really picture it, unless it's something like Border Line by King Krule, then I can sort of imagine it.
I think they would get along great as people, but that their musical styles would not work together well.
if they could somehow pull some wild shit together with their styles it would be amazing and I would cry.
Wouldn't work.
June Bug anything works if u believe \( * - * )/
did not listen to music for 5 years, but this stuff is good...
+geistreiches you didn't listen to music for 5 fucking years how did you live
quiet
+geistreiches you need Jesus
I am Jesus
geistreiches Like, this is a serious question: How the heck can you go 5 years w/out listening to music? Did you mean "did not listen to music on my own" or "did not go out of my way to listen to music"? It's literally impossible to go 5 years w/out listening to music. There's music all around you. What?
boah, so gut :-)
I wonder if they planned for the train to pass by at the end, or if it was a coincidence.
or they just waited for a train to pass......
Lgd1993 J You know what they say... curiosity killed the cat.
Jane Dickens what I implied by "planned"
anyone hear the 20 remix? its just as amazing
20 syl's remix ?
Damn I fell asleep to a playlist and woke up to this, shit sounds great
I love his voice
