I quite liked the animated videos. I, and my friends and roleplaying group, have been enjoying most of your content and been wanting more. And the drought, while completely understandable, has left us waiting - especially on the topics that older videos alluded or said would eventually be coming. I hope that by "FFXIV videos continuing", it won't just be new content, but also that, which has still been left unexplored. Not just races and classes, but we'd like to see more of a variety of niche topics, be they beast tribes, kami, Doma, Hingashi, Gridania, etc. etc. I know some of these you've covered adjacently to other videos (e.g. Gridania with a couple of videos like "the missing story in FFXIV" or w/e it was called), but I'd really love to see a more complete video that truly presents not just the nation, but the Twelveswood altogether! I mean, looking at the "Countries" playlist - there is nothing on there for it, and it's our favorite place, which we are roleplaying in our TTRPG. And with the official FFXIV TTRPG coming, I'm sure there'll be even more interest in not just what FFXIV /is/, but also what it /was/ - as in, the older content, that got so many interested in it! The foundation upon which the rest was built! So, yeah. There's more I can say, but I hope this gives a good enough idea :) That said, I'm also looking forward to Soulframe and am curious how your content about it would be like. Aside from that... other games that your style would suit... Maybe Genshin Impact (honestly, the world building is great, but you will *suffer* to go through the content ingame and look for it, because it's fractured and split into countless pieces, in and out the game, including content that's no longer available, in the form of past events)? There are already some great loreheads there, though and they'll have an advantage in certain regards, though the perspective of a newer player, and the experience of someone going through it without months and years in between is also an advantage in of itself. Other than that... hmm.. Don't Starve (& Don't Starve Together)'s lore is one that I don't know any good lore creators of, and I could definitely see your style fitting it, potentially. Though, I will say, I somehow associate your content with "niche knowledge" more than anything. If it's about common lore, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, unless the person wants it in video format, so to speak. Or if the video is particularly good, bringing in niche knowledge, not necessarily as side-commentary, but often sometimes simply by the content coming from the perspective of someone aware of the bigger picture, which gives you an inherent feeling of there being more, and occasionally hearing some of it, leaving you wanting for more, if it interests you. But yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your content and hoping it'll go back to revisit "old content", which for many isn't even old, as newer players join in and want to learn more about the world - or even old players, who never engaged with the lore! That's all I have to say for now, and I wish you merry holidays and a happy new year! ^^
I always did like the animated or even just still imagery from Catti's work in your videos. They remind me of Tale Foundry but for 14. It just adds a nice touch and layer to the imagination behind the lore in the areas we don't always see in game.
You could talk about the lore of the back of a cereal box, and I'd watch cause I like your style. That being said, I really enjoy your ffxiv videos and would love your take on even some older lore because I feel your style is just so good for in-depth lore videos. There's also the "Tales from the ..." ffxiv side stories that I would love to listen to someone cover if you're looking for more ffxiv specific content.
Been following your stuff for a while now, but I can't even begin to express how excited I got when Digital Extremes was mentioned. Similarly, I've been playing Warframe since the closed beta and it's one of the very few online games that has gotten me as excited as FFXIV has. Needless to say, I'd absolutely love to see Soulframe lore content made by you, as well as Warframe lore if you're willing to dive into that as well.
in addition to what you've said, I personally would love to see you engage with other FF14 content creators. For example, Grinding Gear and Jesse Cox. a 60min lore/speculative session with you three would be awesome.
I'm all here for the year of the Scribe. ^^ Your videos have help me explore even deeper into FF14 in ways that makes my FC call me "The Lorekeeper" for knowing too much. I can't wait to see what other games you dig into next so I can dig into them as well. Keep being awesome as I know my butt will be here with a cup of tea to learn whenever you do post videos.
Been following you for about a year now, and I enjoy your ffxiv content a lot! I learn quite a bit thanks to your channel. I look forward to what you make next, along with whatever other games you do lore for! If I had to choose another game franchise for you to do lore for, may I interest you in Synduality: Echos of Ada? Its not out yet as it releases in January, but it has an anime and manga which came out before it. I recommend giving the anime a watch if it piques your interest- its on Hulu.
Even since you made the one Elden Ring video, I have been waiting for thee to expand thy horizons further. May you enjoy traversing many wonderful worlds in the coming year!
i just look forward to whatever you do :) i enjoy all of your content even if it's a different game (as long as youtube is up to telling me it exist of course)
The wait has always been worth the wait to your vids. I would love your take on Legend of Zelda lore. I don't think I ever saw the Elden Ring vid so I'll blame TH-cam. I don't think soulframe will get my attention but if it catches your attention do those vids!
I personally would love to see your style of lore videos applied to the Monster Hunter series, particularly with Wilds en route. But whatever it is you do settle on doing in the new year, I'll be looking forward to what you put out, however quickly or slowly that may be.
ya know as someone who is playing warframe as I watch this video, really cool to learn digital extremes is doing another game! I just came back to warframe after a long break and picked up the story again..... and I am kinda lost- forget what was happening. Maybe a good video topic
next up: Synodic Scribe's echo kicks in and he recieves visions of a whole new universe... Go ahead, Scribe! We're rooting for you! Options for new IPs to explore: - Corvus Belli's Infinity - World of Darkness - Blood Bowl (for when April Fools rolls around) - Warframe - *insert mihoyo game here* - Stellar Blade
Destiny universe has droves of superb lore and very similar themes to FFXIV. also ZZZ is one of my recent lore games. It has a lot of great in-depth stuff to talk about in regards to its references to Greek mythology and wacky science fiction concept pulls
What about streaming your process of researching lore to make videos? Stream the process for the dedicated lore fans, and make the video for the wider audience? I've seen some channels do this semi-successfully with Elden Ring lore channels, like Quelaag (at least when there is new lore to cover).
i'd watch some monster hunter videos. i have only played like 30 min of the original on ps2 and watched 2 playthrough of world. so i don't know much of anything about that world. also really like the rathlos mount in ff14.
Very excited for everything coming in 2025. I do have a question, though, that I don't think was covered in the video. Will the series where you read and critique player character lore be continuing in 2025, or has that been ended?
I ca't wait what you will make in 2025. For me, i would like to see you do a lore video about the Sonic movie series. There are lot of lore comparing to the video game counterparts that is really interesting.
They have definitely released less and less content from the recent expansions, beginning with Endwalker, and now Dawntrail. There's nothing to really tackle and grind on at the current moment. Its an MMORPG and there isn't any great casual content that keeps everyone engaged.
the problem is the content i new was made for causal who can enjoy that content at casual paste but dt realised raider content aka nathing but casual content making the vast mayority of players have no reason to log on plus add the mixed story and annjoying dungs (more stressful and chatoic) it clear the game is suffering a lot more then before.

❤
Always a joy to see notifications for your videos on my phone, and looking forward to the next year
Yeees I’ve been eagerly awaiting SoulFrame as well! It’ll be cool to have you cover it!

i would go crazy for some synodic scribe warframe lore videos man
Even since you made the one Elden Ring video, I have been waiting for thee to expand thy horizons further.

Listening to you talk about Guild Wars lore would be so cool. Same with Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom!
I personally would love to see your style of lore videos applied to the Monster Hunter series, particularly with Wilds en route. But whatever it is you do settle on doing in the new year, I'll be looking forward to what you put out, however quickly or slowly that may be.

So long as it doesn't bore people I wouldn't mind talking to fellow nerds as I compile data. haha
Slay the Spire lore, perhaps other Final Fantasy titles?
i'd watch some monster hunter videos. i have only played like 30 min of the original on ps2 and watched 2 playthrough of world. so i don't know much of anything about that world. also really like the rathlos mount in ff14.
Soulframe looks cool
Got nightmare before reaching storm blood nothing to do with this I’m just glad I got lucky today
Genshin Impact if possible please!
He did say he get bored by easy games
It doesn't matter if is Genshin Impact or Warframe, I love how you make your videos. I will be there.
Happy New Year, Scribe btw. :)
Scribe covering other games?!🎉 yas!!!
Spread that net wide bro

I personally would love more lore on Warframe. Like with 1999 recently out, it’s been fun. And the lore is rich and deep in Warframe.
You know it’s getting bad in 14 when even the lore channels are getting bored lol😂
The lack of content by se is the issue
You forgot something blue and Something Borrowed in the thumbnail
