Whats the B stand for?
@@GelelNinja7 I assumed it was a typo, now I"m too scared to ask. Maybe Boomers?
This is advice I get a lot, thank you
I have been going through this exact issue and I think I needed to hear all this be said. Great video!
I want G.o.D and so far I’m really happy with my progress as a “newish” tekken player. I’m at god ranks, just more labbing, more anger control, and I’ll be there in no time. ❤💙
I’ll take what you said in this video, and apply what I could.
Good teaching, great video. This psychology is a very deep subject, thank you.
When you said wishy-washy that made me smile from ear to ear! You've grabbed my interest, I'll watch this a few times !
Playing fighting games has helped me control my emotions and encourage myself. Cuz there have been many moments when I’m on a losing streak where I have to talk myself down from crashing out and quitting altogether😂
That's awesome to hear! 😂 Fighting games really do put us through an emotional rollercoaster sometimes, but they also teach us resilience and how to keep pushing forward. It's all about controlling that frustration and staying committed. Keep at it, those moments of growth are what make the wins even sweeter! 💪🎮
I recently went through this and I just had to uninstall T8. I had gotten to a point where neither learning nor winning was feeling rewarding or fun for me. Even when I was winning most of the games in my play sessions, I found myself walking away just frustrated and annoyed. My internal monologue became full-on ScrubQuotes mid-match and I don't wanna be that type of person. I do still watch and I miss playing but feeling like I was always on the back foot during a match despite all my labbing and notetaking really got me hot under the collar.
Watching this now, I am realizing is probably due to me being indecisive on the choices I make during a match. So thanks for this video, you've given me something to think about
EDIT: Came back to the game 3 weeks after posting this for the new patch. Still hate it. Game eventually crashed like it was giving up on us both - probably a sign lol
Thanks for sharing your experience-it's super relatable. It sounds like you were in a tough spot where the frustration of not seeing progress or feeling rewarded took over. That feeling of being on the back foot, even after putting in the work, can be exhausting. I'm glad the video helped you reflect on the decision-making aspect. Sometimes, it's not about the amount of lab work, but about committing to your choices in the heat of the moment. Taking a break from the game is totally valid, and hopefully, when you feel ready to return, you'll come back with a clearer mindset on decisiveness. Keep thinking and reflecting-you've got this!
going through the exact same thing rn. It got to a point where I was forcing myself to enjoy the game but I was only getting more frustrated. Tekken, especially as a newcomer, is way too mentally exhausting.
I'm feeling that now. Just hit fujin 2 weeks ago took a week to play a new character play some lobbies to decompress. And as soon as I tried rank again on my Main knocked down to tenryu in 2 days. Trying to figure out how to get unstuck. Feels like I've actively gotten worse, like I'm losing mirror matches more consistently and I can't figure out where I'm messing yet.
It’s not you. You’re probably dealing with this Why Tekken 8 Ranked Feels Unfair at 200K
th-cam.com/video/w5eqK_qaJ6c/w-d-xo.html
@@TrickyEileen that's the thing I haven't it post 200k. I think the highest my prowess has been was 187-188k at most. So I wouldn't hit the threshold for rank 2.0. So I gotta only assume I'm not playing as well as I was last week. Like I saw that video Tricky, it was very informative, but just doesn't seem I'm at that point yet.
@@tinyparcel6305 it starts getting wonkey at 180 too
@@TrickyEileen well then guess I just need to get good.
Not having a lot of free time outside of work, getting better with movement on leverless, and probably who I like to play makes it difficult?
Yeah, I totally get that! Finding time to improve when life’s busy can be tough, especially when learning something like leverless or figuring out which character suits you best. Progress might feel slow, but every bit counts. Try focusing on small, consistent practice sessions whenever you can squeeze them in, and don’t stress about fast progress. Keep experimenting with characters until one really clicks with your playstyle-sometimes that makes all the difference!
@@TrickyEileen Thanks for the info 🙏

What was the first track? And the second too, great video❤❤❤
First track was MVC2 Clock Stage
That’s second track. First track is eagle from rolling thunder
@@TrickyEileen Oh whoops, enjoyed the vid!
@@carnagewolf1 hshs no worries and thanks for the help in answer the questions
Great vid!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🎉 If there’s anything specific you’d like to see more of or dive deeper into, let me know! Appreciate the support 🙌
Hilariously i think committing to a course of action isnt my issue. Rather its making the correct decision about what that should be
will have a vid on that later point in future.
But what about the second option: Play a top tier!
I was fujin , now stuck at battle ruler for 2mos now … harada keeps giving me high prowess players with a main character ranked as tekken Gods playin their second character 😢
yeah that's how is currently works due to prowess matchmaking.
@@TrickyEileen aside from that theres a huge gap of fighting knowledge between purple rank and a blue rank, another problem im facing to be honest. I think i am a legitimate purple rank player and has not acquired a decent blue rank set of skill yet
