This is the first time I have ever seen the Land Rover v8 rally truck. That truck is awesome

Thassos arę performance cars well balanced with 50%-50% weight distribution .stock car is not even close to this and perfect jump in WRC car is mor matter of knowing How to do it than car design. You need slow down before peak of the jump and accelerate hard on tje top..so car will fly flat on little bit on the rear .. if yiu will lift your foot from accelerator pedal car will jump on the front bumper
As I read this, the one in the vid did a perfectlanding, against a tree...

Based on my own experience with a 1965 short wheelbase Land-Rover, it is entirely possible to break a spring but the assistance of another vehicle may be required. However, a cracked radiator is much more likely if driving, well, a little too fast over rough ground. It's possible drive hundreds of miles with a broken spring, though, but no more than a few miles with a cracked radiator.
The Landys really did well on a punishing terrain there - greatly overbuilt suspension and chassis, presumably - unlike everything since; 'just enough built'
Ye land rovers have always been strong, absolute tanks they are. I love them
The suspension on that Impreza might as well be black magic.
I commend the drivers that had awkward landings and recorrected the car in a split second.
Also, look at how balanced the Subarus are in mid air. They land back wheels first

@@daanm3869you good? They are rapid offroad, you put anything against them in the same terrain and they wouldnt even move. Land rovers would leave them in the dust . Cabt beat them

@@sexatica some yes for sure but there is plenty of videos of stock landy axles taking a pounding.
Standard axles can take a pounding but they do bend slowly over time , hence the camber correcting wedges available for them.
The suspension on the vauxhall Nova is simply perfect

As a jeeper I’ve now got new respect for land rovers.
I like jeeps but personally land rovers cannot be beat. They're workhorses, extremely good offroad extremely strong and built to last. Because of their simple build they are easy to fix, they are my favourite vehicles cant beat an old landy

Forgive my slightly ignorant question, but on those high torque WRC cars, when they take the jump and there's that crackling noise, is that the rev limiter or is it something else? (Differential? No, right? Sounds like exhaust)

Looks to me like the spectators take the biggest risks! I love motor sports but this is crazy.

Nothing wrong actually, the clip just cuts short but they just went too fast for the right hand corner after the jump and overshot, they put it in reverse right away and continued, only lost a few seconds
He clips the sign without fully wrecking at 1:46 AMAZING
