I think Spelunky is my most favorite indie game ever and the sequel has really manage to improve over the first game which is difficult for a sequel, and this video was an enjoyment to watch!
I remember trying to kill the ghost with my dad in the first game, thinking it was a boss or something (in my brain, one of us had to die, cuz in multiplayer when you die you become a ghost, then you could kill it that way). Needless to say, it wasn't, and we gave up on the game. I got back into it a little later, however, and its still super fun

I’ve put hundreds of hours into spelunky and spelunky 2 in total, and I’ve never beat either of them once. That being said, they’re easily some of my favorite games of all time. It seems so simple, yet is so complex, and every variable was thought of and tuned to perfection. I’ve never played another game that is quite this frustrating yet simultaneously fun and addictive. Even if you suck at it, it’s still so so fun. Even just beating the first stage for the first time is so rewarding! Highly recommend!!

Guacamelee 2 is my favourite indie game Good mix of memes, references, fourth wall breaks, difficult platforming towards the end and actually good fighting as well as some quality cutscenes
If silksong releases this year by some miracle, silksong deserve it more imo. Sorry mate, this is pretty much how every fan of not popular good indie games act, oh actually even fans of popular good indie games like cuphead act.

I literally first played this game at a friends house a few days ago because it was the only co-op game he had and now I’m about to buy it. We played for an hour and a half and the farthest we got to was 1-4 but I still had a blast discovering everything in a game I previously had 0 interest in.
I remember playing the 1st game and dying around a thousand times in the jungle. then. I get a jet pack get to the ice caves and die by a mine. this games tested my patience in the best way possible
