    Thank you so much for posting this, and the mod list! I just picked up an R57 and have been looking for inspiration on what to do with it. This is it. Thank you again.

    This sound … beauty man.
    Also finally getting my oil cooler rad mounted by the foglights this weekend! Will also add two temp sensors (one for oil out and one oil in because why not 😅)

      @@Richard1637 What remap are you on? I've got the N18 as well, with a downpipe waiting to be installed. Just curious what tune you have.

      @@Mikepakulak927 I got it mapped at DervTech (Manchester) who are local to me. It’s been in this state for 40k miles or so and completely trouble free.

    Hello. How you make your own datalogger, any video in youtube?, Because my ultragauge does not read oil pressure, either Oil Temp, i believe Oil Temp sensor didnt has the mini cooper s r56.

    • @Richard1637
      @Richard1637  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you are correct, the r56 does not have an oil pressure or temperature sensor as standard. I had to add the sensors my self and make an additional control board to make this work.

    hi , I bought a new jcw r56 recently , what’s the most significant modification for you guy? Thanks

    • @Richard1637
      @Richard1637  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi mate, it depends what your doing with it really. For track days I would say the best bang for buck is a track focused alignment and some decent tyres. It transforms the way the car turns in and drives in general.

    Seems like you're having a bit of boost fluctuation too? Seem to be an n18 thing

    • @Richard1637
      @Richard1637  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fully enough this only started that afternoon! I checked for boost leaks once home and all seemed fine and I've not touched it since. Needs more investigation when I get time.

      @@Richard1637 for me it was the boost control solenoid under the intake manifold that had played up mate! sorry for the late reply! when you are there, change the vacuum hose ends that connects to the solenoid too. that solved my fluctuation!

      @@AlvinR58 thanks for the follow up, glad you got it sorted! I actually changed my boost solenoid recently as it was the cause of the issues in my snetterton video! I swapped it for a genuine pierburg part so I can’t see that being the issue, but I’ll definitely check the vacuum lines and probably swap them all for silicone parts. The car still hasn’t moved since it’s last track day, I need to get one booked 😂
