Thanks! I got tired of looking for videos to help me fix my Cutlass, so I just made my own.

Working on these older cars was a lot easier.

They were designed to last, not to be thrown away.

I found online an easy way to check the injectors. A super long screwdriver used like a stethoscope. you can hear the tapping and if it is irregular, its not working right. I had 3 bad injectors and I tested them when I took them off and the volt meter confirmed they were bad. They are cheap enough to replace them all. I have more questions though....I will make another post

I really enjoyed the way you put this video together especially since it was a 3.3L engine for Oldsmobile. I am disappointed that you decided to focus on readings >.>

Does the fuel pressure regulator just unscrew with the two bolts it has in?

Does anyone know if this is the same 3.3 liter engine as a 1989 Buick century ? Looks almost the same to me. That’s what I have and need to do this.

      I would assume it's the same 3.3.

Hello. Have you done the fuel pump on this car?

I am trying to replace the throttle position sensor. part of a screw is still stuck in the hole. of course the harder one to get to. Any advice on how to get the piece of screw out? there's just hardly any clearance. I tried a few different dremmel heads but cant get directly under it so I'm not getting anywhere I'm totally irritated with myself for not replacing it last time I had the thermostat replaced. I had to get a professional to do it. The last mechanic to do the thermostat must have used an impact wrench. I need help!!!

Wow. That is a problem! I'm not sure what to suggest. Let me know if you find an answer.

@@cookesforchrist I'm afraid I will have to pull the thermostat but that is hard to get to the r-bolt. Still I would probably have to take off the exhaust section. Otherwise I think the official way is to remove the intake manifold and throttle assembly. I might try thermostat but last time I tried it cost me $200 because the previous mechanic must have used an air ratchet. I was just lining up the socket and the head popped off. The new mechanic said it was really jammed in there. Maybe if the bolt moves easily with a wrench and 2 fingers I can go that way. I haven't found all the places the whole throttle assembly is attached before I can get to the intake manifold. I felt/removed 2 bolts intake manifold but I will have to move some more stuff to see if anything else is there. I almost bought the gm thermostat wrench but hesitated...darn it

@@jludtxsFor bolts I am worried about being stuck, I spray them with Liquid Wrench and let them sit for like 12 hours - spraying again and again every once in a while. For some really tough bolts, I let that penetrate for 1-2 days. It might help... Maybe.

@@cookesforchrist I sprayed today but hopefully he didn't make them too tight. It was just last July and I probably only put about 200 miles on it since then. prayers tonight. if it isn't easy, I will get the thermostat wrench by wed or thur. I bet if I take off the thermostat housing, there will be enough room to get under that screw.
