Hi mate great video, yeah I was thinking of doing the same thing with the carboard template, my only question would be gluing it down, did put glue all over the surface where the carpet was going to go and then put glue all over the carpet and then install it , or did you roll it back and do the back half and then the front half?
Well done, my only thought was using contact cement. You apply contact ot both surfaces. Once dry, you then lay down and it instantly bonds. You had made comment it will later dry clear, that is correct. I do not know how well it bonds if both surfaces are not dry to the touch. My past experience was down counter tops and it must be dry to touch.
awesome job mate, i've just bought similar boat. what type of carpet that is please and was your front dashboard installed also or did it come with boat cause mine was installed with plywood which i don't like lol

Carpet was purchased here www.retwine.co.nz/product/639/pacific-ribbed-marine-carpet-200cm-slate/. Dash is formed as part of boat.

The brushes shown at that time-stamp start may give you a clue how to put the glue on mate. Cheers!
