Nah, I learned it pretty quickly but Sakurai forgot to send me an invitation
I like how Melee AI would die because it refused to use mid-air jumps and would consume recoveries every time it left the stage, while Brawl AI loves mid-air jumps and refuses to use recoveries unless it is absolutely necessary, which is why Wolf got stuck at the bottom of Hyrule Temple, and Yoshi didn't use a recovery because technically it wasn't necessary.
I mean at least they learned from their mistake?

Grant Nitz remember how they had to nerf cpus for being too good? I kinda wish we still had those cpus
Pritz Guasa the reason they were nerfed was because they could literally tech everything.
smash 6: Tournament pro level ai
Smash 7: Reallyjoel's dad AI
Smash 8: The ai works together to kill you regardless if you put them in teams or not
Smash 9: THe AI picks their character, uses a counterpick using data from a tier list on the internet, then obliterates you (level 1 cpus play no different to level 9 cpus)
Smash 10: They refuse to play. instead they blow up your console.

Say what you want about brawl's AI. They still gave me a run for my money when I was little.

I think that:
-The AI does not see mobile hazards
-It usually jumps over smart bomb items, but the explosion isn't a solid object so it doesn't know the danger.
-Blast zones are just outside map boundaries, it might not see it as well
-Kirby's rock falling might be seen as a projectile.

The worst part, they always go after you, even in a FFA. That ruined the game for me.
Simon-Ricardo Kühn yeah I remember being so salty about that as a kid that i actually quit the game. Didnt help that most people who played online also pulled that garbage
They do it in Smash Ultimate Team Battles.
They'll only target you with Final Smashes.
I believe they prioritize players over other CPUs
The only time level 9 cpus wont team up on you in an FFA is if each of their percentage is on 110%, try it
Edit: set the launch rate to 0.5 so that the match lasts longer. Also once your percentage is on 110%, they’ll team up on you again. In brawl this works on teams too. You’re welcome
Edit 2: for those who also hate when the cpus dont notice your teammate(s) on ssbu, just add another team color that’s not yours or their color. They’ll either team up on the opposing teammate(s) or on you, but unfortunately they still forget your teammate until you’re dead, but it’s still kinda fair imo. You’re welcome for that too.
Every time I play with CPUs in any game, I think they're specifically hunting me down.

The AI on Hyrule Temple is not a glitch. They teach you to play the map the right way: in the combat zone.

@@sensational7335 I think it is. The two CPUs appear to be on Blue Team together. CPUs just always have silver stocks in Brawl.
I know it's dark and stuff, but turn your brightness ALL THE WAY UP, WITH THE BEST PLAY QUALITY, and go full screen and look closely

Well brawl AI is good apart from these things. Most of the things in the video will only occur in casual environments
@@Jack-dt7rw besides if you keep beat them in level 1 you get boring but when you put them level 9 you think they can beat you but you never know how dumb they can get.
In free for alls, the cpus will always agro whoever is winning and never purposefully attack anyone else, which is funny because you can basically trap them in a corner the entire game and they’ll just jump trying to get to you

Something that I remember is that if you use Kirby's stone from high enough(offscreen) the cpu will not attempt to evade it in any way so if you're Kirby and you get launched up you can just use your air jumps to get higher and drop on them with certainty that you'll hit em.

Now, this game is still my personal favorite Smash game in the series simply because I feel like it does certain things better compared to the recent titles (not so much gameplay wise, though, in my opinion). I don't know. I may explain it one day.

I was playing against Roy the other day and found out that at level 8 he'll consistently recover without grabbing the ledge, he does this a lot less at level 9 tho

I think Project M's Stamina Boundary is an underrated feature. Recently, i've had a thing with Blast Lines in super Smash Bros., and I could only imagine a Smash stage's accesibility being increased on a Devil-based scale (Devil as in, the Assist Trophy who moves the 4 blast-lines from blocks to spaces).
And getting sent to the stage's opposite corner when passing the blast-zobes by taking 5% damage? That's a Project M feature that I wish it would either gain more attention or become officially used by Nintendo to see if they can't try it out.

One time, I was playing Classic Mode on Intense, and Game & Watch, with no prompting whatsoever, walked off of Flat Zone of his own free will.
This game has the best AI.
There's a glitch that really pisses me off when the AI got an instant Final Smash after getting knocked out of the stage.
That's an intended mechanic if someone dies too many times
It's called a pity final smash.
It is dependent on how much the are losing by in comparison to you
These can also be obtained by the player in 2p mode but practically impossible in stock matches of less than 4
Yeah, pity final smashes are a thing. I played 5 stock with friends as a kid, and one of my friends got one pretty regularly on his last stocks because he's really be losing.
The thing that put me off the most, is how dead-set they are on targeting you first. Especially final smashes. They save them just so they can hit you with it, and once two AIs are left, they suddenly seem much weaker
The poison mushroom thing makes them more lifelike in my eyes.
I liked the fact that the CPU could taunt in brawl

Unrelated but I was playing against a Level 8 Luigi on Super Happy tree in Ultimate and somehow managed to get him onto thr cloud on the far right. So I just stayed on the stage watching the Luigi waking and jumping on the cloud for a little bit when he jump and misfired towards the blast zone. Funniest fail of my life
In 1v1s the Star Fox AI on Sample S: Hole regardless of level will always SD their first stock if you stay on your side of the stage, making for easy wins in 1 stock or stamina mode. I forget if all AIs are like this but I know that all the Star Fox ones are like this at least.
