I think I know why the first crash doesn't work for Pit's final smash. The angels are just obstacles, while the Waddle Dee's, Waddle Doo's, and Gordo's are actual Entities in the battle.

@@jessanator8860 funnily enough there was a lot of concern about this glitch back then for competitive brawl that many would have thought that they would have to put a ban on Yoshi. Eventually they came to the conclusion of not banning, probably cuz the human mind doesn't have that fast of a reaction in order to mash out, especially when focus on a bunch of other things happening in battle, and the only reason why this would happen if someone were to deliberately do so...either way it would be pretty funny if someone were to accidentally do this in the middle of a tournament lol.

That one's just an accurate depiction of SMW Yoshi.
If anything being tounged by Yoshi is collected or otherwise removed before it gets there, either the game will crash or an item or object of some kind will be loaded into your box. If manipulated properly, this can put a level-ending green orb in there, which can then be spawnned and used in any level.

Actually I discovered the sheik glitch in 2009 while playing super smash bros brawl, I was so surprised and I thought to myself laughing: what if I use this glitch for every match online? And so I did and it not only crash me, but the other player as well. It was so funny 😂

How was the mashing done for the Yoshi grab release crash (1:35), if you don't mind me asking? It's been stated to require exorbitant, near - TAS levels of mashing to escape for the crash to occur.
I used TAS for that one to be honest. While it is humanly possible, it's almost frame perfect and unimaginably difficult.
Theres also a crash that can happen if you go to Green Greens with 3-4 Olimars. You throw Red, Blue, and White pikmin at the falling blocks once they're stacked high enough and the pikmin will infinity spin, if too many pile up in the spinning animation it'll crash.
Imagine playing online and crashing a game cause you mashed out of yoshis attack xD
I still think Brawl is the jankiest and weirdest smash when it comes to technical stuff. No wonder it's so darn easy to mod.

Hmm, “the disk is missing” seems to be a common theme with emulators.
The crashes never say that for me (Did the dedede crash 2 times and it caused the wii sound of death on both tries)
Ultimate: I can spawn 50 Rathalos and *still* keep a decent framerate.
Imagine pressing the A button so fast that no only do you break your fingers, but you break the entire console as well

I think he removed the disc however it is possible for the game to crash like this.
If my knowledge is correct (and it's probably wrong, to be honest), the reason why it goes *_EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE_* is because since this game is disc-based, it reads all data from the disc, including all audio.
When data stops being processed, audio doesn't continue (unlike cartridges, where music can often continue playing after a crash) and so the audio-buffers don't have anything new to use, playing the last thing used from the buffer, which is essentially the last thing that was played last, so that beep is just the last sound just looping over and over again.
I'm probably thinking more along the lines of COMPUTER crashes, like how the audio repeats with Blue Screens, but I know I'm somewhere along the correct lines
