Great review, awesome watch!! The broad arrow or pheon is a symbol used primarily by the British military to mark government-owned property, including military-issued watches. The broad arrow is shaped like an arrowhead, often pointing upwards, and has been used for centuries to signify items that are Crown property. On watches, this marking indicates that the timepiece was issued to military personnel by the British Ministry of Defence (MOD). Key Points About the Broad Arrow/Pheon on Watches: 1. Symbol of Military Issuance: The broad arrow on watches indicates that the watch was issued to military personnel by the British government. It was used on numerous pieces of military gear, including watches, weapons, and equipment. 2. Popular Models with the Broad Arrow: During World War II and afterward, several famous watch manufacturers produced watches for the British military, and these watches often bore the broad arrow mark. Some examples include watches from Omega, IWC, Longines, and the group known as the Dirty Dozen-12 manufacturers who made watches for the British military during WWII. 3. Collector’s Value: Watches featuring the broad arrow or pheon marking have become highly collectible. Their military heritage, coupled with their often robust design, makes them appealing to collectors of vintage watches. 4. Marking Locations: The broad arrow can typically be found on the dial, case back, or even on the movement of military-issued watches. The Pheon The term “pheon” is a heraldic symbol that represents a stylized arrowhead or dart, also engraved on items like weapons or uniforms to signify Crown ownership . In the context of watches, “broad arrow” and “pheon” are used interchangeably to refer to the same symbol. In modern times, these markings are less common, but they remain a hallmark of historical military watches. Collectors prize watches with these markings due to their association with military history and durability.
Perhaps the only wristwatch where the tryhard faux patina just works. I have immense disdain for faux patina. Tudor, with its Black Bay line, seems to be the only company that can do it right. Yet Omega knew what they were doing here. The lume compliments the brown and pop of red nicely. She’s a beaut.
I got mine in May 2022 and I am really happy with it despite the clasp not being that great. It’s a beautiful watch and discreet too so perfect for me.
Beautiful watch, particularly in that colour way. I own a ‘Bond’ Seamaster (2551.80.00) from 1995, 29yrs. on my wrist and still running perfectly, with of course the addition of regular servicing. 👍😎
@@lloydmourant8055 wow 29 years! That’s epic. I hope to own mine for at least that long. That definitely speaks to the quality of the Seamaster, such fantastic watches. Enjoy it!
Great review! My biggest complaints are also the lack of micro adjust, but on the one I tried, the bezel action was subpar and had a bunch of free play, also I did find the fauxtina to be a bit much. Still a cool watch and I enjoy seeing them around, while having a regular SMP300m myself
@@pas0003 I agree with you on the bracelet but the bezel shouldn’t have free play. The fauxtina seems to be a love it or hate it attribute, I think it’s very cool. Definitely can’t go wrong with any of the SMP300m!
Had mine for a year and loved it. Sadly it was sold because I had the same issue with the bracelet. In between two settings. In the winter it fit perfect but the summer it never fit right.
@@garrisonk8627 when the lights are off the lume kicks in and it’s fine. It’s between good light and no light where it’s hard to read. At dusk it’s awful.

Just bought the same watch. I love my white dial Seamaster, but the all-titanium case and bracelet are so comfortable with this variant!
Nice pickup. The white dial is a close 2nd for me too. Enjoy it!

@@RabbitWatchShop I agree. It’s tough to pull off the faux vintage look but Omega really did a great job with the 007
Very cool shots, especially with the PPK and the glasses - well done

When you wear it in the fourth hole do you find the underside of the clasp and the strap leave a mark / hotspot or is it fairly loose for you

I love it. It is thinner than the normal seamaster??
Yes it is. By 0.6mm. I think the lack of an exhibition caseback and perhaps the lack of a date function make it thinner
If only omega could increase their bracelet game like rolex.
