Stunning watch!! Where can we get the book in the background?
It’s the Rolex magazine, issue #8
Cool video! How I wish Rolex would release Explorer II in 40 mm case diameter again. Also, cool Wimbledon DJ you have.
think its good you replaced the crystal...the clarity is much better new
Where did you get the polar from?
04:04 that's what she said
Rolex was hit with a lawsuit a while ago. You’ll always get your replaced parts back now.
Not sure that’s true, where did you see this?
@@garrisonk8627google is bro the internet is our friend. Also side note, you’re the customer. You tell them what you want to do with YOUR PARTS you Paid for. Just like your car. But if you are a pushover…. They will take advantage of you.
Mine has same problum, can you tell me that how i can order replace part. what year your car is it same part model 3 and model y mine is model y 2021 and i was look at it a lot of youtube clip but your video is best for fix this problum Thaank you your effort.
You can get the parts directly from tesla and usually pick up same day at a tesla service center. It’s a 2018 model 3, I’m not sure if the model y has the same part or different. Probably the same. Thanks for watching
@garrisonk8627 Thank you so much your quick response Happy new year 🎉
Which service center did you go to?
I took it to my local AD.
@ which is where?
Nice. Thinking of adding to my collection.👏🇦🇺
you should! the polar is such a great piece
I also own 16570. but yours look more beautiful 😊
Great watch. I wear my Polar on a jubilee from the 16710 GMT.
@@logwind that’s an underrated combo, Polar on jubilee.
Beautiful watch and great video!
@@rickb6365 thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!
Three years ago I personally took my Explorer to Mexico City's beautiful Rolex service office to be serviced. I got it back working properly. But recently the watch started running fast by 8 seconds a day. Too much for a watch that had been serviced only three years ago. So I took it back to the Rolex service office. I said I realized the warranty was for only two years but still it was too soon for the watch to deteriorate like that. They looked at it and said don't worry, we'll get it back to working properly at no cost. Come back in two weeks. Wow. That's great service!!!
@@arturogonzalez-arquieta7882 nice. Sounds like they took good care of you. That was the proper way for Rolex to handle that.
Looking forward to the ownership review, particularly on the difficulty of the initial purchase and cost. I hear that buying from an AD is very difficult and I want to research before I buy my first one in a couple of years.
@@FrankBatistaElJibaro this particular one has been replaced by a newer model since 2011, the 216570, which was produced until 2021 at which point the 226570 took over and is the current model.
@@garrisonk8627 Thank you for the response. I didn't mean this particular model, I meant Rolex in general. I understand that it's difficult to buy directly from an AD depending on the model, and I'm not sure which model I want yet, but I'm leaning toward a datejust either dark blue dial or dark green. Still a lot to think about. I retire in a few years and I want to get a matching pair my wife and I.
@@FrankBatistaElJibaro getting a pair of datejusts should be fairly straightforward at any AD. Just go in a few months ahead of your retirement and tell them what 2 ones you’re interested in and that you want them to mark your retirement. It’s always good to attach a watch to a big life event. Good luck!
Hi I always wanted a 5 digit polar. Does it comes with box and paper? Is it ok to get without box and paper as it cost much less. Planning to keep the watch.
@@victorkkq as long as you take the watch to Rolex to be fully authenticated, no problem, in my opinion. A box and papers does add value, but it’s really more of a personal preference on if they’re necessary or not. I don’t think they are, especially if you plan to keep the watch.
Great video thanks.
@@xyz-k5u thanks for watching
Great review! My biggest complaints are also the lack of micro adjust, but on the one I tried, the bezel action was subpar and had a bunch of free play, also I did find the fauxtina to be a bit much. Still a cool watch and I enjoy seeing them around, while having a regular SMP300m myself
@@pas0003 I agree with you on the bracelet but the bezel shouldn’t have free play. The fauxtina seems to be a love it or hate it attribute, I think it’s very cool. Definitely can’t go wrong with any of the SMP300m!
Best Rolex
@@KaydenDunford it’s one of the watches of all time, for sure. Jokes aside, ya I think it is a strong contender for best Rolex.
Where you buy the parts
You can get the parts directly from Tesla. It costs around $90 each side. I picked mine up directly from the Tesla service center nearest to me same day.
I love mine But the bracelet does annoy me I’m planning to change it to a nato
i agree with you, my only issue is with the bracelet. i do think it looks amazing with the bracelet though so i dont put a nato on mine
I just recently purchased the Panda version of this 116500LN model And I must say although I like it a lot it is a very significantly small 40 mm, so much so that it's surprisingly very similar almost to a 36 mm datejust feel. I'm just thankful I have a smaller 6.5 in wrist otherwise I don't see myself wearing this very often if I had a seven or eight inch wrist as the proportions are just too small.
@@JinxPalm2023 congrats, the panda is a great watch. The way it wears is definitely subjective, I personally like that it wears on the smaller side
Jesus christ dude, most Tesla drivers barely have enough common sense to make toast correctly and your trying to show owners how to replace suspension componenets?
lol. fair play
Hello Collab?
Beautiful watch, particularly in that colour way. I own a ‘Bond’ Seamaster (2551.80.00) from 1995, 29yrs. on my wrist and still running perfectly, with of course the addition of regular servicing. 👍😎
@@lloydmourant8055 wow 29 years! That’s epic. I hope to own mine for at least that long. That definitely speaks to the quality of the Seamaster, such fantastic watches. Enjoy it!
Great video my friend👍
Nice timepiece, now what pen is that 🤔? You collect fountain pens? If so please make videos on pens as well 👌🏽✨
@@frankv7068 it’s not a fountain pen, it’s just a pen from Tiffany and co. I do have a few friends who have amazing pens so I will consider the idea, thanks!
Probably should have set the control arm to ride height before tightening the back two bolts down. If you did, ignore this comment. You fast forwarded through a lot of the reassembly process.
Yes, the arms are set in roughly the same position as how they were removed. Tesla has a special little hanger bracket to use for the process but for my purposes, close enough was good enough. The reassembly process is very easy, it’s just the disassembly process in reverse haha. I would’ve documented more but my phone died while recording.
If only omega could increase their bracelet game like rolex.
@@picanha694 the bracelet is great, it’s just not quite as comfortable as the rolex bracelets
@@garrisonk8627 its too clunky i dont like it.
@@picanha694 it does sit higher than a rolex clasp, but the watch is so fantastic it’s easy to forgive, imo
Tesla will cover the labor to replace these - you just have to pay $200 in parts for both sides.
Right?! That’s what I’ve noticed!
i did the injection method. so much easier. most importantly it fixed the issue.
Did you take it in for a wheel alignment after you replaced the parts?
I got mine in May 2022 and I am really happy with it despite the clasp not being that great. It’s a beautiful watch and discreet too so perfect for me.
@@patrickjean-philippe7679 I agree. The watch is so perfect and discreet.
I got mine after a 6 month wait. No purchase history, white dial. The bezel is a scratch magnet. Noticed that under bright LED lights the scratches disappear in the reflection against the bezel however.
@@danielb3863 the beauty of it is that it’s made to get scratched up. Wear it, enjoy it and don’t worry about the scratches
Fully agreed. I’m on the wait list since November 15, 2024….
@@DukeTDang I hope you get the call soon! The 226570 is a great watch. Did you request a white or black dial?
@ white for sure 👍
You don't need to take the wheel off. Get a grease gun ($25) and a 18 Gauge grease needle ($10) and pump grease into the rubber boot. Drive a few miles to distribute the grease and enjoy. Done in 5 mins and < $35.
yea, thats a temporary fix for the issue which is well documented, but I hadn't found anything on how to actually replace them.
yup yup. i did this 2 years ago. no issues since. **don't forget to use black silicone to seal the hole.
I have a 12650 black dial and it’s my favorite watch, it wish it was flyback, my AP 50th anniversary chrono is amazing. Rolex wise this or my GMT master II Pepsi on jubilee. It’s just an amazing watch.
@@QuesoRen the 126500 has grown on me considerably since its release. I love the case shape. Great watch. Sounds like you’ve got a great collection
@ if you ever want pics or videos let me know, I have an 11650 panda I can do a side by side with
I am in the market for a 116500LN and leaning toward the black face after your review. Does yours have the glide lock bracelet clasp?
@@ronaldgaringer1924 Daytonas do not have glidelock unless it’s an oyster flex bracelet, found on precious metal Daytonas only. Instead they have the flip lock extension system.

@@ericjahn9824 thanks for watching sir
Great video! How much did you paid for your control arms?
@@reginaldlewis07 about $90 per side from a tesla service center
I put in a service request and they are charging me for everything except for labor. Is that normal?
Very cool watch. I still cannot decide between this and the Panda :)
the panda is neat, but its definitely more flashy and ostentatious than the subtle black. the white feels more dressy as well, day to day. but, it is more hype than the black dial. for me it was no contest, black was the clear winner
Great vid! For chronos I’ve always been partial to the speedy but seeing the black Daytona in natural light like this it truly is a beautiful watch! I did a review on the batgirl I just got and the new Rolex’s do have a great built to last feel to them.
I do love the speedy and will probably own one at some point, specifically one with a cal. 321 as i think it's stunning. it's hard to capture just how beautiful the daytona is IRL.
@ My friend has the previous gen white dial steel daytona and it does look great but yeah haven’t seen too many ceramic bezel Daytonas in person. Black one is a great choice. Enjoy!

When you wear it in the fourth hole do you find the underside of the clasp and the strap leave a mark / hotspot or is it fairly loose for you
@@Watch_Papa on a warm day, the 4th hole is perfect for me. On a cold day, i move it to the 3rd but it’s a bit tight and gets uncomfortable after a while

Had mine for a year and loved it. Sadly it was sold because I had the same issue with the bracelet. In between two settings. In the winter it fit perfect but the summer it never fit right.
