"I like that they're putting their prices up to compete in another price bracket" Is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. It's just an artificial bracket jump, there's no quality increase just a bigger number of the tag. How anyone outside of Omega can like that is absolutely bonkers.
Same as other luxury watches or any other luxury items bags, belts, cloth etc. Rolex is in much higher price range. Is it because it has more complicate mechanical movement than Omega of that much different or it tells more precise time than 25 dollars Casio? No. They just mark up the price tags and the price just keep getting higher and higher. In many cases, even if you have the money, you can not buy the item you want. You have to buy other items of their brands to get a hand on the item you want. It is how they position themselves in the market. It is ridiculous, it is artificial but it is what it is and it is meant to be for luxury.
I have this watch and I absolutely love it. I have been wearing it each day since I got it a year ago. It is reasonably well finished but I still feel Omega should make a big push on improving their finishing, QA/QC where it has so much room to improve. I have a question. Are you diving in the sea wearing this watch? If not - why would the movement of the bezel bother you? And how much does it detract from your enjoyment of the watch? 10%? 20%? 50%?
G'day Harrison, I've been tempted to get one fo these ever since it's release, but some of these negatives you've mentioned here (as with other reviewers) have held me back so far... Excellent video as always
I think your observations on the NTTD Seamaster were all valid, above all “I buy it first because of the looks”. Beyond the function of telling time, watches are jewelry and you gravitate to what visually appeals to you. When the NTTD was first announced, for me it took a bit to warm to it, but once I did, I really liked it, and what appealed to me was the image of tough, no nonsense, simple, and faux military issue. However, once I started wearing mine, I noticed a big caveat to the design- the dial and bezel are difficult to read in anything but full sun and full darkness. In indoor medium lighting, I find the dial more difficult to read at a glance. I believe this is due to the colors- a deep brown dial with beige markings all just don’t have the contrast of black and white, and the skeleton hands don’t help. Every other dive watch I have has a face I can read at a distance, but this one, not so much. It goes to show that sometimes things done for style compromise the function of the design.
Agree with that. Hand visibility poor in all but good light. The Milanese strap is fantastic but I have big wrists, no problems with the bezel but I don't wear gloves. The thing I really love though is the lack of weight - hardly notice it is on. Tempted to mod it with lume in the skeletonised hands.
@@-triumphgt667 : If they just went for a black dial face I think it would have made readability much better. When I compare it to my 300 Master Coaxial which also has the yellowed vintage-look lume, the 300 is much easier to read. As for the mesh bracelet, I usually wear it with the nato strap so it’s not an issue.
At some point I was considering buying the Bond 60th Anniversary which has a nice shade of blue just to take its dial and bezel to install into the NTTD… 😉
The bezel action on my NTTD Seamaster is just perfect! I also have the recent Rolex Submariner and the bezel action on both watches are almost equal. They are both great. Sound a bit different, but they are both great!
So I have the black seamaster and I was going to trade in my black 2022 SMP and my Tudor BlackBay 58 for this watch. I thought it would be those two watches in one, the vintage and brown of my bb58 in the seamaster form. After trying it on though the lightness surprisingly turned me off a bit, felt too light funny enough. Also the dial felt a bit too muted. Decided against the trade. Keeping the two, blingy SMP and more muted bb58 is what I decided to do. Other thing for is matching diff bracelet to it which I do a lot would be tougher to the titanium. Still love the look though.
SMPs have never been known to have good bezel action. Their system could be arguably more "secure" than Rolex's, but Rolex has an unbeatable bezel feel and sound. Saying that as an Omega fan.

Another great video Harrison. I really considered this piece before I bought my Polar as I was selling my great white Seamaster. I sold the great white because it was heavier and thicker than it really needs to be, and this titanium piece is thinner and lighter, so it solves both issues. Plus I really like the look. Now I'm still considering selling my Polar and getting the 14060M 2 liner, but I have to admit that this piece is also a contender.
I agree, the NTTD is the best looking 300M. I even talked my pal into buying the NTTD instead of the standard 300M. What is your wrist size ? I am considering this watch and I am afraid my wrist may be too small at 18cm due to the big clasp. Trying on the watch at a store is one thing but wearing it for days is different. Thoughts?
@@Matys1975 my wrist is 7.5” (I think that is about 19 cm). To my eye anyway for me, anything less than 41mm looks too small on me. If you have an Omega AD nearby definitely worth checking out. I have a couple other SMP300’s, and to me the NTTD feels slightly smaller than the others.
Thanks for the review. I had questions regarding the bracelet. So my real real question…Is it better than the Tudor Pelagos 39/42? Is it worth twice the price? Keep up the good work!
Tried this one on at a Vegas boutique and it’s incredible. Such a light watch that wears and feels smaller than 42mm. Not a fan of the mesh, but the NATO looks great.
I love this watch but the brown Lume doesn’t work well in low light and the bezel on mine is mushy/decent bit of play… still love everything else about it
Great review! I also enjoyed the feel on the wrist of the titanium, I think it suits the watch. Didn't love the colour scheme, generally not a fan of fauxtina, but it did work well with the dial. I also found the bezel action to be shockingly terrible on the in store models. This watch in titanium with a more standard dial colour, white lume and a better bezel would be a hit.
Very Good presentation. Bought the Omega with the Nato Strap and have had the Issue with the bezel when I first purchased the watch but seems to have worn in. Love the NTTD Seamaster.
To paraphrase the ( late , great) Robin Williams about another addiction , 'spending that much on a diver's watch is God telling you you're spending too much money on a diver's watch , especially if you're not a diver ( who wouldn't need it anyway)'.
All scallop-edge bezels from Omega suck, even the previous SMP version. James Stacey of Hodinkee tells the story how he went diving with one and was unable to rotate the bezel with wet hands. Good thing he had a dive computer as a backup.
Great video! You have some of the same "dislikes" I do. I hated the Milanese strap from Day 1. I took the watch back, and the AD asked me to wear it daily for two weeks and then come back to see if I felt the same. I don't think there was any "stretch", but it did wear far better than first impression. I still don't LOVE it, but I love the overall look and feel of this watch. I have an Artem Straps NTTD NATO for the same reason, OMEGA wanted a little too much for titanium hardware.
2 year review, I love mine but lume longevity is not great. Also the black paint on the back comes off due to rubbing with arm hair (could just be mine). It does have a light benzel action bit doesn't bug me.
It's a sick piece no doubt, but the extra 4K due to it being a special edition and in titanium without a date makes it so unjustifiable. I have the standard blue from 2021 and think it's alot better in value for money and function than the NTTD.
It's a great watch there is no doubt, but it's simply a super marketing triumph from Omega with that evergreen Bond association. Even without the recent price hike I simply could not justify the £3,800 price premium over the standard Diver SM300 (SM300 £5,500 vs NTTD £9,300 in the UK today). Unless you have a pretty big wrist the Milanese bracelet and clasp thickness is too stiff and uncomfortable.
I passed on this because it felt like buying a tidie shirt. It's cool for a moment but not timeless. That mustard color is not timeless. Yes it's freaking cool but not sure how I would like it 5yrs from now.
The poor bezel action and grip is the reason I won't get a Seamaster. I use a dive bezel all the time for timing things, with gloves on too. It's an essential function for me. If the watch had a good bezel action I would start saving up today.
@WristSwap yeah I've tried 3 SMP bezels now. I've tried so hard to like them, but the bezel action makes me realize if I were to buy, I would eventually regret it. That movement is excellent though, I can see myself taking this on a rubber strap or mesh and making it my primary watch.
Too many negatives with this watch. The unjustified premium and the fake military designations make this a clear pass and one for only the hard core bond fans.
What fake, Omega was part of the British army under the WW2. Omega was actually one of the main suppliers of watches to Great Britain’s Ministry of Defence and some of its allies during both World Wars thanks to two main factors: the precision of its watches (the brand had a strong history of observatory records to prove the accuracy of its timepieces) and, even more important, the manufacturing capability to deliver high quantities of these precise wristwatches and pocket watches for service.
@@thegraciefighter102 Omega CK2444 was the main watch during the great war. I really don't mind that the broad arrow is on this Seamaster, even if it's not the historically correct watch. Probably just a cool feature 👍🏼

I have an Artem Straps NTTD NATO for the same reason, OMEGA wanted a little too much for titanium hardware.
Wow that looks just like the Rolex Submariner that Sean Connery wore in Dr No. Omega is hands down the best Rolex homage brand.
Best looking watch ever
The best I don’t know but it is one of the best looking watch in the category of dive watches I agree.
2 year review, I love mine but lume longevity is not great. Also the black paint on the back comes off due to rubbing with arm hair (could just be mine). It does have a light benzel action bit doesn't bug me.
Annoying to note that it is black paint on the back and that it wears out, they should have applied enamel.
Naw you’re right bro… the bezel action blows in a bad way. Great video and I’ve subscribed.🤘🏻
It's a sick piece no doubt, but the extra 4K due to it being a special edition and in titanium without a date makes it so unjustifiable. I have the standard blue from 2021 and think it's alot better in value for money and function than the NTTD.
I think the lesser bezel action is due to the use of titanium
I agree. It felt that way. My pelagos compensates I think with the spring inside. This didn’t well enough I guess
Waves my 1966 165.014 full patina.
It’s surely is a very nice watch until you try the Tudor Blackbay 58.
The 58 is a fantastic watch as well, especially for half the price
Maybe yes. But the 58 need the new tfit clasp
They've created a smaller version of the bracelet.
@@SA17579 Hurrah!
It’s expensive, not a rational buy but can luxury items be justified as rational purchases ? 🤔
Wait… I spy a Rolex with a rotating bezel on the wrist. Is this a new watch? 😮
I spy a submariner? 👀
Every collector needs to have an Omega in the collection 👌
Agreed! Vintage or otherwise!
Just not this one !
It's a great watch but the price can't be justified against other Seamaster 300s.
I passed on this because it felt like buying a tidie shirt. It's cool for a moment but not timeless. That mustard color is not timeless. Yes it's freaking cool but not sure how I would like it 5yrs from now.
0:48 I believe you meant No Time To Die
I never move the bezel so send them to me please.
First comment. Good video about omegas value for money back in the day
No doubt!
Try to rotate the bezel without gloves…mine rotates perfectly.
The poor bezel action and grip is the reason I won't get a Seamaster. I use a dive bezel all the time for timing things, with gloves on too. It's an essential function for me. If the watch had a good bezel action I would start saving up today.
Test it yourself too! But I didn’t enjoy it, which surprised me
@WristSwap yeah I've tried 3 SMP bezels now. I've tried so hard to like them, but the bezel action makes me realize if I were to buy, I would eventually regret it. That movement is excellent though, I can see myself taking this on a rubber strap or mesh and making it my primary watch.
I've tried several as well. They're difficult to operate.
Loved the movie????
The bezel does break in.
it's not a real dive watch and whats up with that huge wart at 10 o'clock
I think it would sustain a 300 m dive though…
Too many negatives with this watch. The unjustified premium and the fake military designations make this a clear pass and one for only the hard core bond fans.
What fake, Omega was part of the British army under the WW2. Omega was actually one of the main suppliers of watches to Great Britain’s Ministry of Defence and some of its allies during both World Wars thanks to two main factors: the precision of its watches (the brand had a strong history of observatory records to prove the accuracy of its timepieces) and, even more important, the manufacturing capability to deliver high quantities of these precise wristwatches and pocket watches for service.
@@born7thjuly this one wasn’t - it’s fake and shouldn’t be allowed.

Omega CK2444 was the main watch during the great war. I really don't mind that the broad arrow is on this Seamaster, even if it's not the historically correct watch. Probably just a cool feature 👍🏼
@@born7thjuly I don’t think it’s right. I can see the argument that this is a costume watch for bond fans but it also doesn’t make sense in the context of the watch. Why would a secret undercover agent wear a watch with a large military designation on the face ? It’s just a mess of a watch for me
@@thegraciefighter102
End of the day some like it, others don't.
I thought myself the first look it's a great looking watch with cool details. Almost close buying it. But there is still something that doesn't really tick the boxes yet.
If they made the same watch that they distributed under the war, but waterproof and 40mm..instabuy
This watch is simply far too high for an aluminum bezel.
Fair!
No Time to Die was by far and away the worst Bond movie ever made. This watch at $9600? Uh no thank you.besides being overpriced, it will remind you of that woke piece of crap last Bond movie.
Agreed, the movie was not the best although there were nice passages.
Didn’t like this watch in person
I thought James Bond was a lady now?
I love my omegas, but they are uniformly cursed by shit bezels
STOP IT😂😂😂😂
Stop making childish pyramid hand gestures your not in Mossad or James Bond, wait are you working for the Majestic 9, don’t tell me, please don’t kill me.
you silly youtubers- the mesh os great- no will notice the „thickness“ of the clasp. It wears like a dream, the steel version too.
What bother me, and it seems not to bother any of you silly youtubers is that latch, that extra fabric on natos- but you all love natos!? I much prefer this beautyfull piece of art of Omega Mesh/Milanaise bracelet. Cheers from Switzerland and I hope I haven‘t offended anyone- it‘s just my opinion and everybldy should have one!
