Looks like an awesome project... Wish I lived closer and had the money to pickup the Dodge.... Would love to give her a new home and get the engine fixed up
Thanks, I plan to post more as I find more deals on boats and as I fix this one! Im excited about this one though, seems like a super solid boat overall.
I had the sister boat, the 21 Hewes red fishing 2001. What a junk boat that turned out to be. 6 times back to the factory and sold it. Issues I had. 1. Hull / Deck separated from the bow 4’ one side around to the other side 6‘. 2. Live well hoses were crushed when the attached the deck and Hull. This causes the boat to fill with water . 3. Those gunnel storage hatches always squeaked when you walked in them. Lemon Boat
I had a 19 Bayfisher and it was almost as bad, every time I used it the transom would crack open a little further. Great riding boats but terrible build quality.
Which old boat the pilot house? Im in the middle of remodeling our new house and haven't had a chance to work on it in a while. Hopefully in the winter Ill get it all done. Thanks for watching.
Nice find! A little TLC and it will look great 👍🏻 some green Ospho will take that rust out ezpz. Couldn’t see the crack in the motor at first, then was like someone really McAdooed the heck out of that
@@KnottsFishing oh shit not to far away I'm down here in downtown Bradenton! Hell yeah thank you my wife is good with the lens, from a while back at a random mural on st. Pete!
The sea pro I had lacked good rod storage and just seemed like an entry level built boat. Overall they ride great but just wasn’t built to the same level as the maverick or my current boat Everglades.
Not worth it for only, $2,000 profit. Friend of mine bought his 25 seahunt, for $20,000, we fixed it up for him for around $8000, and he sold it for over $60,000. That was a great investment.
@@KnottsFishing we're located in West Columbia SC, you can find us on Google as Fiberglass BoatWorks, and yes it was a great find, it had tons of damage though, but we have been working with seahunt boats forever, so we got everything factory for it.
@@KnottsFishing i have hundreds of pictures on there, currently working on a 2019 27' seahunt, ran the thing up on an island, starboard side was completely destroyed, but came with dual screens, sonar, autopilot and all the goodies, has twin 300HP yamaha painted to match the sea foam green on the boat. Great find as well, totally worth it.
Tap all around the transom and hull to make sure there is no delamination, look for hairline cracks and obvious damage. Look for corrosion around outboard steering arm, engine block and lower unit/tilt and trim. 100% do a compression check on engine, if owner doesnt allow it walk away! Also check trailer throughly once you water test boat so you can look at the axles and all brackets without the boat on it. Check all switches and pumps, run all of them while water testing the boat. If everything checks out pull the boat back out of the water oull the drain plug see how much water comes out of the boat. Shouldnt be much if anything for a 10-15 min water test.
@@KnottsFishing probably got a good deal because of the wiring. People don’t want to deal with new wiring and it costs a ton to pay someone else to do it.
@@hautehussey wiring actually didn’t look too bad after I got into the boat. But I sold it as it was to another guy, didnt have enough time to finish it like id have liked.
My boat does that with the drains as well. I think it's done to prevent sediment from getting into the bilge
Which boat do you have same model?

Yeah that was a bad one too. Just twisting through the air bout 20 feet
Buddy nice boat . if i can ask how much you got it for and did you have to go bid on it or how does that work ? Trying to find the jet boat vidoes .
I just got the jet boat that video isnt out yet. Still have to edit it.
It's a maverick.... your gonna love the boat! I wish I had the cash to buy it if you didnt like it!

What is it about the Sea Pro you didn't like? Just curious because I'm looking at buying a used Sea Pro

did gou view this boat in person before buying or did you take a chance on the online auction
Rolled the dice. Which I dont recommend at all.
Slick boat!
Cant beat this boat, DM me for a RIDE. ;)
Blushing 😊
Great purchase. Having purchased it at the auction as salvage does this mean the title is now a salvage title?
Boats do not get salvaged titles.
