  • The experts at TRB dive back into the Skimmer Skiff project, with custom details in mind. George LaBonte joins Randy Orr aboard his tricked-out 18’ Maverick. The technicians at Rocky Point Boatworx provide oil change know-how while performing the Suzuki outboard 100-hour service. Then the team at Wildfire Marine installs a custom Armstrong bracket on the 25 Bertram project.

    Love the Maverick, especially the bolster seat addition. Does anyone know who makes those? I've been looking for years for something exactly like that!

      I think they are Garelick ladder backs w/o arm rest. They are out of stock everywhere they pop up online.

    I remember FS mags as fishing playboys. I would open the mag and go to the back pages.....

    I've owned one Suzuki and multiple Yamaha's, Mercuries and one Evinrude. I've never had a catastrophic failure on the water until last summer. My 350 Suzuki with the duo prop, 54 hours and the lower unit failed. My rig was at the dealership a total of 12 weeks during the prime fishing season. Suzuki repaired the lower unit (did not replace) and on the first test run (dealer) water was still getting in the lower unit oil. Needless to say I was very frustrated, however, remained calm and Suzuki picked up the entire repair cost. I literally lost the majority of the fishing season , and for that reason I sold the vessel a few days ago. I realize anything mechanical can break, however, in 30 plus years of boating this was a first. I'm meticulous about maintenance and I felt like I was cheated. I understand now why there is 6 years of warranty.

    Ugg I’m sure that people that watch this series watch for the custom upgrades or builds not oil changes for 3 episodes waste of time

    • @deepseevisuals
      @deepseevisuals 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have shown only one oil change. A new part of a 100-hour service every week. Something that every boater will have to encounter and should be educated about. Project Dreamboat is not only about builds that are beyond people’s capability and reach, but also to educate, inform and inspire. We broke down a 4-hour service into just a fraction of valuable minutes filled with only helpful information, to help educate boaters that want to learn the correct way to do things, from the pros. There is plenty of custom content, still and much more yet to come, we hope you enjoy the rest of the season!

    These episodes are so watered down its a joke! Everybody knows it takes 2-4 hrs to do an engine service but now were are 3 episodes in and still not done... And how about less talking and more doing for the rest of the projects? You gotta have more footage than what youre showing us, the whole thing feels like a long commercial.

      I always look forward to these episodes but completely agree on the engine service series. Let's get some addition build content on making dream boats, not servicing a Suzuki.

    • @deepseevisuals
      @deepseevisuals 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In reality, we're boiling down all the details for a full engine service in just a handful of minutes. Each segment has been a different part of the service (only one oil change...) and each of them takes much longer than we show, with leaving the most important bits of information for people to learn from. So, a 4+ hour service, at the end of this series will be boiled down to 20 minutes of just useful information. We aren't watering down, that we can promise! Enjoy the show.

    • @deepseevisuals

      @Jimmy Johns1210 sorry you feel this way. There is a large portion of people that this information is not irrelevant and they appreciate it. That is only one segment of this entire show, which shows some highly custom work done. Every episode is different and unique and caters to different folks. Every episode cut from a different cloth. We’ll continue to work our hardest to make this show the best it can be and we hope you can find content in it that you enjoy and love watching. Feel free to skip through the stuff that doesn’t excite you! Thanks!
