I have an old boat that I have made decent and keep running for not too terribly much money... but I probably have hundreds of hours wrapped up in it and it doesn’t look anything close to the Rambo or that skiff.

Tyler don’t buy a Honda. You’ll have more problems with it and you’ll be supporting Chinese labor laws. Kids backs aren’t getting lashed to make your truck like they are in China.
Hate to burst your bubble but there are no auto brands purely made in one country. Foreign cars are being made partly in the US, parts from diff countries. Domestic vehicles made in Mexico etc.. Japanese vehicles aren't purely made in Japan and same for American brands. Those days are gone. It's not like Detroit back in the day.
And for those who cant afford a total refurb, maintain your boat and care for it like you would with a nice car, expensive truck, etc. I know this is like a "thanks capt obvious statement," lol but I see it every day. Pride of ownership really shows, and the lack of the same shows even more. Even if its a "work boat" at least hose it down when u get back to the dock lol. And this coming from someone who's been on the water a lifetime. Everything from a canoe to a 50' liveaboard. Retired from the US Army, I could never afford to ignore daily maintenance, cleaning, etc.

Carolina Skiff is a great boat. Put food on the table of my family growing up. My dad was a commercial fisherman and we used that boat for everything. He worked so hard to make a good life for our family of 6. I see a lot of him in what you do for your family. And now i see the boat all dirty and slimy and it all makes sense. I live very close to Rob. Met him once in the local supermarket years ago before he really blew up. He was the nicest dude. Shook my hand and we shot the shhh for a couple minutes. Met him again recently in the same supermarket and although he obviously didnt recognize me, he was the exact same super nice dude. Much respect Thats why this is by far my favorite channel on youtube.
Mr. Arrington, My son and I are huge fans of your show. When I seen you bring the Carolina skiff to be redone it has been a dream of mine to re due our J14. I spend literally everyday on the water. I take everyone out fishing from kids to vets to just someone that has never been. I have such a passion for being on the water and doing what I do. I am a Fulltime father and work fulltime and I know my boats not that big but I have done so much to it that almost everything on it has been rebuilt or I put new on when I can. It has a new trailer and a custom deck put on it that I really enjoy but was done by someone that did not have a ton of experience and needs to be redone. I currently have a Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke that I have rebuilt and done just about everything to keep it running full speed all the time. Im in the works of getting my captain's license and hope to run charters full time one day, as of now I fish either before work or after. I have turned so many people on to the water life that I get more enjoyment from showing others how to fish. I am writing you because I would like to get in touch with trustworthy boat mechanics and someone to redue my deck and would like to find a 50hp motor thats reliable. I live very close to Rob. Met him once in the local supermarket years ago before he really blew up. He was the nicest dude. Shook my hand and we shot the shhh for a couple minutes. Met him again recently in the same supermarket and although he obviously didnt recognize me, he was the exact same super nice dude. Much respect Thats why this is by far my favorite channel on youtube.

Mr. Arrington, My son and I are huge fans of your show. When I seen you bring the Carolina skiff to be redone it has been a dream of mine to re due our J14. I spend literally everyday on the water. I take everyone out fishing from kids to vets to just someone that has never been. I have such a passion for being on the water and doing what I do. I am a Fulltime father and work fulltime and I know my boats not that big but I have done so much to it that almost everything on it has been rebuilt or I put new on when I can. It has a new trailer and a custom deck put on it that I really enjoy but was done by someone that did not have a ton of experience and needs to be redone. I currently have a Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke that I have rebuilt and done just about everything to keep it running full speed all the time. Im in the works of getting my captain's license and hope to run charters full time one day, as of now I fish either before work or after. I have turned so many people on to the water life that I get more enjoyment from showing others how to fish. I am writing you because I would like to get in touch with trustworthy boat mechanics and someone to redue my deck and would like to find a 50hp motor thats reliable. Please if you would contact me so I can get a fair quote into getting it atleast running right fulltime and fixing the soft spot in the deck. Thank u so much for all your great videos.
