Sweet review man. I’ve been carrying a Smooth Criminal off and on since May of last year, PVD coated, flamed hardware, in this yellowish green color. Like you said, absolutely spot on in the ergonomics. I took a special vacation to Smokey Mountain Knife Works to pick one up. For be such a stubby knife it definitely holds it own. Kinda like a Bugout on Steroids is how I see it. And I’ve never had any blade play yet. 🍻
I have that same exact Medford. Blue and all. I'm lovin it. Only slight negative is it's very tight to flip. I can barely even get it to flip open with the tab. Sometimes i can't at all. I have to use the button.

Try to press button the flipper instead of light switch. See if that helps at all
