    LP is so good. Even without heat use it with heat and also put it on after washing at night and put my hair up and the volume is so good the next day without a stiff or sticky feeling!!

    I really love the ColorWow Raise the Root volume spray. It’s the only one I have ever used that truly works - however, it’s brutal on my color. I have bleach highlights and they are oxidizing reddish.

    Hi Summer, great video with very helpful information. What are your experiences with root lifting powders vs. sprays (such as those listed in this video). Also what do you think of Big sexy hair root booster? Thank you so much. Would love more product videos and tutorials on volume/thickening!

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Overall I have always liked more of a foam based spray. Volume powders can be great but myself I find them to be sometimes to much of a product feel. Big Sexy is a great root lifter, I don't feel it gives a ton of product feel and had good lift. I'm glad you are enjoying the channel!

      Roots lifter you spray directly on your scalp and typically give more lift at work over a mousse. I like to use a root and mousse together for the most volume!

      No difference what so ever. Still flat as a pancake no root volume at all.

    • @donnamcelhinney9121
      @donnamcelhinney9121 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I disagree - HOWEVER - I also think that if you have fine hair (like I do - and that she appears to have), you’d notice the extra volume she had using these products. I don’t have thin hair - but it’s fine (while also having a lot of natural curl). So, I can get a lot of curl/waves during a blowout on my layers without much effort, but I always feel like the top of my head doesn’t match the volume on the rest of my hair after styling. It feels/appears to be COMPLETELY flat against my scalp. I bet that her hair is the same way - and these products look like they give a little lift right after blow drying (which she then enhances when she finishes styling her hair by adding some back combing/teasing - which isn’t part of this video).
      I am going to go look at some of her other videos where she shows how she does a complete blow out + adding some back combing/teasing to see. If your hair is really fine, teasing/back combing does nothing without having some sort of product that adds texture to your hair at the roots in order to hold. I am trying to find a way to get some root lift to match my side volume WITHOUT using hairspray (or any type of “sticky/crunchy” product). When I used to wash my hair every morning (unless I wore it up the second day), I used hairspray to maintain some root lift. But I absolutely hate the feel of hairspray. I love having movement in my hair - and how healthy my hair looks/feels without hairspray. I also really love not having to blow out my hair every time I want to wear it fully styled (and down).
      If you don’t have fine hair, I can understand how the results from her blowout after using these products doesn’t seem like it did much. Also, she doesn’t appear to be trying to add waves/curls or a bunch of volume to the rest of her hair based upon the cut she has - she wants her sides to be sleek/straight with just a little bit of a volume and curve to follow her face/jawline.
