    Hi Summer, I’ve been doing here for 29 years. I love watching your videos my week part was always doing blowouts and you’ve really helped me with that and I love the butterfly cut. Thank you so much for making all the great videos.

    your videos are so helpful and clearly presented ... also, we seem to have similar hair issues, though mine are more pronounced as I'm prob 20 years older ... I have thinning hair, especially at temples, almost as if there is little hair to support to the top layers at hairline above outer corners of both eyes (not sure if that makes sense, but I saw one of your other videos where you address this VERY issue....) In any case, it's taken me my entire adult life to come close to figuring out what works and flatters me.... I love the idea of longer hair, but given my generall fine/thinning hair, w the top of my crown tending towards flat, and I like some layers built in, but think a length between top of shoulder or just below is where I think I SHOULD go... ...OR -- even shorter, but I like to completely cover my jaw line, ahem. The styles you often wear at that length are exactly what works for me, though I like some movement at the bottom, rather than blunt the way you often style yours....I think it's more youthful for me (which I need, hehe) and somehow -- even though I have weak/see-through hair framing my face, it somehow works and is a compromise between the illusion of fullness at the bottom .... Man, I wish I could have you take a look and give me your thoughts/opinion, or even come in to your salon....I'm embarrassed that I don't know where that is, but pretty sure it's nowhere near my Park Slope, Brooklyn digs. Anywho, I am obsessed with all your tutorials n tips, especially addressing fine/thin hair issues/styling/products etc. Slowly but surely I'm building my stash of tools from heat protectants to volumizers, smoothers, and dryers/hair brush dryers. You and your videos are the first place I come to get the scoop. So, THANK YOU, and Happy New Year !

    Great tutorial, your tip about cold blow drying to set hair is very good, they never do that in the hairdressers I frecuent.

    Hi Summer❤
    I have the same hair as you and also tease, backcomb and smooth. I also use the texturizing powder in my roots. And use Paul Mitchell freeze and shine hairspray because it maintains the fullness throughout the day without it going LIMP😵. I have ordered a few of the products you recommend and will purchase the morracan oil hairspray to see if that works for me.
    On another note, I do have Velcro rollers, but find that they don’t work as well as hair brush barrels that I keep in my hair for 15 minutes or so to lock in the body-I think this is primarily because of the bristles? But there’s a huge difference in how those create fullness and body all day in my hair .
    Lastly what brand model hairdryer are you using? I recently purchased a new hairdryer that’s just ok (the old hair dryer is no longer available and I really liked it).
    Thanks so much!

    Great ideas. I wear my hair like yours. Always have problems with the front because my hair is slightly wavy. I love how you did your front. Do you recommend bigger brush and flat ironing. Live in Florida lots of humidity. Thanks

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed! A bigger brush will get it smoother for you a little bit easier than a small one, and a little bit of ironing will help soften the wave. Antihumidity spray is key! I like Amikas or Sexy Hair!

    I have long hair (almost touching the butt) but its overprocessed, thin, and just flat. Should I use mousse for the volume? I can’t use roundbrush by myself since my hair is too long to do that technique.

    Hi, Summer.
    I have very fine hair. I bought the root spray and the kerastase mousse, but I am insecure about my process. Today I use a rotative brush. I never tried to use a dryer and a brush. Do you think I can get the same result with a rotative brush?

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't had much luck with a rotating blow dry brush, so while I don't think it would give you as much volume as standard blow dryer and brush separately, you have to do what is easiest for you. You'll get volume still, but maybe not quite as much.

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a love hate! They definitely give you added volume but most I find to be heavy on the product feel, and I don't feel like I can go very long with them before needing to wash my hair.

    Shouldn't mousse be focused on the roots?

    • @StylesBySummer
      @StylesBySummer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can put mousse all over, but when I pair it with a root lifter I opt to just put it on my ends.
