I didn’t give a damn about metazoo until now. I’m going to buy a booster box and maybe one graded “grail” and just add them to my collection. It would be awesome to show off my collection in 20 years and talk about that card or box no one recognizes anymore

I am very much looking forward to your video on your card scanner! Im currently trying to find one that works for me. I bought a lower end Epson one that i seen sport card sellers using and im not having great results with it. Its actually damaging my cards 😬 cant wait to hear what you're using and your experiences with it!
The problem with Metazoo compared to other ccgs is a lack of IP connected to it compared to other dead ccgs. Most Nostalgia games are based on certain IPs not just "random game, made by random company" This is not the Star Wars CCG, or Lord of the Rings, or X-Files, etc etc. I say this as someone who sells dead tcgs on tcg player, that all have strong IPs (wow, transformers, star wars, etc) compared to non-IP games..
Again, I'm not saying it's an investible asset for anyone and everyone. But there are dozens of dead games without separate but attached IP that still change hands for money. And this game got really big relative to other games that have died,

The cards felt fine, the 4th-wall breaking of the gameplay was a neat design space, but didn't really make me want to play, and I didn't really like the art or graphic design much personally
What I found annoying is Metazoo went straight to "investing" before it solidified the gameplay and collectability.

Bought a booster box for 50 bucks and first booster had holo mothman. 50 dollar card.
My prediction wold be prices will be down bad until people get nostalgic to collect them in the future. Put them away for that later time.
