Welcome to the channel where we believe that Every Card Has Value! Our goal is to find ways for you to extract that value from your bulk collection. Whether it is buylisting your bulk to another retailer, selling individual inexpensive singles profitably, or just enjoying your collection in new and interesting ways, we are here to help you get the most out of that pile of cards you otherwise wouldn’t be using.
TCGplayer Dropped NEW Data That We Can ALL Use to Sell More Cards
This is such a welcome addition of information now available for every product on TCGplayer, from Mana Crypts down to a lowly common from the My Little Pony TCG lol. One thing I didn't mention in the video, I would really like if TCGplayer made this info available through their API so that websites like mtgstocks.com and its various sister sites could share it in a more visual and quick to process manner.

Well I've finally sold out and allowed myself to capitulate to the card sorting robot hegemony. I for one welcome our new Australian overlords, the CardBot from CardCastle. In all honesty, it seems like the most affordable option for the quality of the build, and it's distinct binary sort design looks like it will be the simplest to socket into my own existing card sorting processes. What to Expect In a Box of Bulk Trading Cards (Not What You Think)

Not one of my highest production videos, but this is what it's really like when I get a box of bulk most of the time. If it's Magic, I'll get stacks of Erg Raiders or whatnot. Pokemon, I'll get piles of Caterpies. Baseball will send me lots of 1988 Fleer base cards lol. It's really not about every card specifically being a home run, it's about how to turn a whole bunch of very small incremental...

How I'm Processing Bulk Trading Cards in a Small Space for TCGplayer, Ebay, BSC, and My Website
It is funny we need to have a conversation like this especially in a capitalist country. Every business buys low and sells high, so they can make money and pay their workers and operation costs, also keep the economic going. Try to tell this to those who sell fine arts or jewelry, they would think you are nuts. We just have lots of low IQ individuals in this hobby, I bet it is ok for them to make money when they are the sellers, but it is not ok for others to make money when they are the buyers.
I think you've missed the point a bit. This video is about the difference between buying at market price and holding for a time until market price increases to then sell later, versus buying below market price now in order to sell at market price now. It definitely isn't about defending or attacking the notion of buying low and selling high
PSA collectors are wild lmao. Imagine paying almost 100 bucks for a 5 dollar card with some plastic around it saying its "mint condition" I will never not laugh at these folks. I don't know why a lot of people bother with grading when it's a scam and near useless overall (aside from secondary markets taking advantage of gullibility), like who cares about the number. That card is now completely useless. It'll never be used. It'll sit in that slab for the rest of time and it wont ever get any more real value. Cards IMO are meant to be used and enjoyed. If you don't want it anymore, give it to a local cardshop, then someone who would like it would buy it and it gets a "new life". When people get random ass worthless cards graded it makes me scratch my head. Cause its expensive to get 1 card graded. I wouldnt grade a card that isnt valued at least the same as the price for grading. I also hear about some people who treat products as investments. Like what? Why on earth would you want to keep a seal product sealed?? Open it, spread its contents out into the card "economy", and then it actually gets its use to you and others instead of just sitting there.
Do you have a video of how to get bulk and what price you should pay for bulk?
I have several, but I'll have a new one coming soon =]
Hi can you sell multiple types of cards or do I have to stick to one type of card
I don't see any problem selling different kinds of cards - as long as you follow the recommendation in this video about making sure they are higher demand and at least $2
Would you be able to create a mass price rule to follow these price velocities?
Not at the moment - it is unfortunately not available in any kind of massively referential form as far as I know. Not in the MassPrice tool; not in the filtered csv files; not in the API.
how big is your new inventory till u moved? u have to rebuild all and thats hard but i wish u that u going gro up to the moon :)
Beautiful video thank you
So nice of you to say, thanks yourself =]
i looked the last 7 days a lot of your videos - i dont know why ^^ were can i get the typical 4000 cards boxes with 4 rows? how much did they cost or how they calles??
Hey thanks for watching! The 4-row boxes I use are these: www.bcwsupplies.com/monster-storage-box-3200-cards?acc=tcgbulkkings Now this is an affiliate link, so I get a little kickback if you purchase from here, but you can also use my promo code 'tcgbulkkings' to get 10% off your total order. You don't have to get them here either, there are many available on Ebay and a lot of times your LGS will carry them or can get them =]
Nice to see this kind of transparency in the card secondary market space.
That's what I'm about - my stance is that the more info everyone has, the better for the overall health of the market
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
That was scary as F@#$ the way that first one just stuck it's head into the light, and started at the camera
I definitely had Princess Mononoke flashbacks for a second ngl
At least it wasn't a regular human bar tender.
This is great advice thank you
Glad to be helpful =]
The great has returned
Aww shucks
In physics velocity is distance over time, so a sales velocity would be units sold per time frame not the ratio of sales to listing's
Think of it more in quantum mechanical sense in that we are determining the average velocity of a large system of particular by determining what ratio of the number particles that exit the perfectly black box they are contained in over a certain period of time to the number of particles contained. If you want a direct physical analogue, you may have to model trading cards sales as a quantum thermodynamics experiment But I think that's a bit much for trying to buy a card to sell, we can use the classical approximation and be fine =]
Great video! I started selling cards a little over a month ago now and your videos have been a great guide!
Glad to be able to help!
Good stuff. Thanks.
Hows the cardbot doing
It's been a big help. I'll have a video about how I'm integrating it into my overall system coming soon
Hey Chase, how's it going? How has the card sorting robot been working out?
Up and down, but definitely back on track now. And the CardBot has been a big help! I'll have another video about it coming soon
yo MORE VIDS we miss your content
Yeah, sorry about that, had a bit of an unplanned mandatory break from content creation, courtesy of the autism x.x but things are looking better now, which means MOAR VIDEOS!!!!1!
You are the man, thanks for posting this video. I was entering inventory as you posted this. I did not know about update, just focused on listing cards and selling my bulk at market price with a $0.10 floor.
Hey, glad I could help! I hope this info gets looked at by a lot of sellers, we could all use a better understanding of the market forces
He's back! I was just looking earlier to see if you had anything new. Awesome content as always. Hope you've been well.
I'm back! Lol And I've been up and down, but definitely getting better, thanks for watching!
hes low key the best tcg player channel
i literally seen the vid notification and was like YES!
@@mrguymanjr5777 thank you for your kind words 😊
Looking to buy into one of these would love to chat and maybe get an update on your experiences with this machine as its been a month since posting this video. Would you say its worth snagging one? Now that you have some time under your belt with this
Yeah, sorry it's been a bit since I've posted anything, been a lot of extra-business activities absorbing my time. It's definitely a great tool. It's mechanically very functional, and works really good for Magic. Pokemon is in late beta and works pretty good, and they are ramping up other games as well. Getting a lot of stuff done with it that would normally have taken me a lot of personal attention. I can drop cards in it and have it run while I sleep, or while I run to the store, or while I sort cards from a game outside its purview, or whatever. It's been nice, and I definitely think it's worth the price, especially compared to the rest of the market
If you end up reaching out to CardCastle, let them know I sent you lol, they love hearing that and it makes me look good =]
Great video. I just got to level 4 and bulk sorting is my bane. I don't have the money to get a autosorter, so sorting is what i usually spend my time on.
Definitely a grind, and definitely something you have to be at least okay with, if you hate sorting, you won't suddenly stop hating it
Could you do a video showcasing the equipment you use, like model of printer and why you have chosen to use it? And perhaps one that shows how you store your cards when placing them into inventory and how you pull them once you receive an order. Basically, your organization behind the scenes. Thank you!
I think I can do that =] I'll try to put something together before too long
@TCGBulkKings Thanks! I do have one question maybe you can answer! How do you store cards in your inventory? Does everything get a sleeve or just more expensive cards. Thank you.
@@romansky1720 it's... Complicated. Currently my TCGplayer inventory is unsleeved and my eBay inventory is sleeved while in inventory.
Hello! I wanted to say thank you for this great content! How do you determine shipping prices for TCG Player and ebay? I do not yet have a TCG Player pro account but I am a Lvl 4 seller. Also how do you copy and paste addresses from the ordering website to Pirate shipping? is there an import option? thanks for any answers!
Hey, thanks for watching. I offer free shipping on TCGplayer, and I've recently gone to $.99 shipping on Ebay, just because it seems like the sales didn't really drop while giving me a bit more room for offer negotiations =] For Pirate Ship, there isn't a bulk import option, so I just copy the address from the order page and Pirate Ship has a paste address option I use
@ isn’t that a constant loss for cards basically under a dollar on tcg player? Do you change the shipping price on ebay for cards over a certain price point?
@Mountain_Peak_TCG when you have free shipping set, TCGplayer still will charge and pass on $1.27 if the product total is below $5. So it all works out 👍
@Mountain_Peak_TCG and I do have a free shipping for orders over $10 discount set up on eBay
Those periodic checks of small amounts of inventory are called cycle counts :)
I have a few sealed first edition boxes should I save them or dump them
Not long after the big collapse seems like a terrible time to dump, wait a long time they'll be worth more
Way to support a NZ made TCG.
I just think they're neat!
Would love to hear how well it's working for you. Also curious if you have tried it with Yu-Gi-Oh and how well it recognizes those. Best of luck!
YGO beta is still quite a ways behind the other two, it recognizes the cards for the most part, but their database functionality is quite a bit lower
tcg player is garbage for sellers they need to update the shipping items once its completed. Just like ebay gives you options to pick from such a headache
I've just started I have sold 20 cards with your help. . thanks. I'm at level 2 and I can not get past level 2 any advice? And I have 100%
Just keep making sales - that's all you need to do to get to the next level. If no one is buying your cards, adjust your prices a bit aggressively. Get some more cards to list, and get them listed. You can't sell what you don't list. If you only have bulk to list, then find some higher demand cards to get them sold quickly
lmfao what garbage just do it yourself smh takes the fun out when some random robot does it way to expensive
I've been doing it myself for years, this just helps out a little so that I can do more in the same amount of time, without having to hire an extra person. And this machine is much more affordable compared to pretty much the rest of the market.
i dont print paper INK way to expensive i use thermal printer think u forgot to add ink price
I use an EcoTank printer, the ink cost becomes basically negligible, something like $.0001 per page, which more than pays for the $200 up front cost for the printer
Shame nome of this software works for the UK guys 😭 seems all the software out their only caters to the USA 🙄
I'm not sure why UK sellers couldn't use Card Dealer Pro. May need some extra steps in generating the csv files to upload, but I would think it could be done. I suggest reaching out to the folks at CDP to see if they can help you out, they are really nice and accomodating
What do you do if your new account is under review? I’ve been under review for weeks and emailed twice.
TCGplayer have actually put an indefinite hold on onboarding new accounts right now. Supposedly to they can make some changes to the basic process, but it's been weeks and weeks, since towards the beginning of the summer if I remember correctly. Not really much you can do, other than find a different marketplace such as ManaPool, CardTrader, or Ebay
hey I can't seem to find my issue when I use a rule in mass price most of my higher end cards won't change all of my setting are right, but I think mass price is missing some of my inventory somehow when I search for a card it doesn't even pop up in mass price. The cards that are missing i did list form my phone as a single and not form a list. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction
You may need to look for a box that is automatically checked, something to the effect of "skip changes that would change the price by greater than 50%" or something. I bet that's the culprit
I enjoyed this.
THANK YOU
If I ship with a plain white envelope do I just hit the ship without tracking number tab on TCGplayer? I’m new at selling cards and wanted to know what it’s like with shipping with the envelope because so far I’ve only done the parcels/bubble mailers
That is exactly what you do, yep! I know it can feel stressful, like you're just letting go and hoping, but 99%+ of the time, things work out how they are supposed to
@@TCGBulkKings thank you so much!! Also what do you think the cut off should be for white envelopes? Like once I go over like 5 bucks I should start using mailers?
Anytime i'm struggling with how to ship something, or what to do to improve my business, I come to your videos. Thank you for what you do!
That means a lot to me, I'm so glad I've been able to help =]
losing money on your orders is also a tax offset if i'm not mistaken...
do you have a video related to thermal printing?
I don't, mostly because it's really pretty much a plug and play situation. There isn't really anything to make content about. Most printers will work just fine for whatever purpose you have, but I'm not really able to get into the details of all of them. I'm currently using a Rollo printer for 4"x6" labels, and in the past I've used a Dymo for customer street addresses. But I'm currently just printing those directly onto the envelopes since I've gotten an ecotank style printer
1988!!!!;
I know you sell on Buy Sports Cards a lot. How do people sell cards for .25 and free shipping? Thats even worse than the $1 free shipping cards on eBay
BSC requires all transactions be of product value at least $3, so those transactions only happen when people buy a bunch of cards on the same order
@@TCGBulkKings ok that helps a bunch thank you. Do you think BSC is worth it over eBay for the lower end cards?
this is what happens when EBAY takes over it'll get worse trust me
I'm afraid of that, yeah
Video starts at like 4:45
We started a bulk common and uncommon MTG business in April 2024 using TCGplayer and your channel has been very helpful. We are still very small but building up inventory to get loaded. Thanks for sharing your experience and advice. I think we are going to do the same thing on TH-cam before the end of 2024. I am still trying to recover startup costs, but we have shipped 303 orders and did reach Seller 4 faster than I thought thanks to channels like yours.
At the beginning, getting to Lvl 4 is most important when selling on TCGplayer. I'm glad my videos have helped you achieve that first big goal. Now the fun really begins! Let us know when you get that channel going, I'd love to follow along =]
Hi! Love the videos. 4th level seller here but still pretty new to this. Mastering what my pricing should be for common/uncommon cards (Pokémon let’s say)….making them low enough to see some actual movement but also not get 20 orders of 1 card that is marked at .02, is my main issue. Like, a lot of the LP cards are priced higher than NM…not sure what that’s about either…
Yeah, especially right now, it's hard to dial in that pricing floor. My current floor on TCGplayer is $.10, but I'm not 100% convinced that's the necessarily the best place for me, let alone for others. You will just have to experiment and see what feels right for you and your business - it's different for everyone
@@TCGBulkKings that seems like a high floor on a Vivid Voltage common 🥲 lol Keep up the hustle. 😎
When you have to send bulk that's in the smaller range like 100-1000 cards, have you found a inexpensive way to send those lots? I realize the bigger the bulk lots, the more efficient it is to send bulk. I'm trying to figure out if there is a cheap way to send bulk in smaller lots like that, rather than use a medium or large flat mailer. Or the way you do it, where you use a uline box. I'm trying to take in consideration the cost of the shipping material as well. I'm not sure how much that box costs you.
Up to a couple hundred, I just do team bags in a large bubble mailer. Beyond that I use a small box. If you use USPS Ground Advantage, especially through one of the discount postage services like Pirate Ship, it can still be pretty affordable. Though, you will definitely get a better rate of postage per card if you are sending larger amounts in one package, 4k-6k in Ground Advantage, or larger lots through UPS I think. I don't use the flat rate mailers at all now, simply because the relative cost is considerably higher
@@TCGBulkKings Do you happen to have the sizes of smaller boxes you use for cards in the range where it's too many to fit into a bubble mailer, but not quite enough cards to put in a 4-6k box? I'm thinking about selling smaller bulk lots and have been trying to figure out a box size that would be good for the 300-600 card range. I'm not sure how many cards could safely be mailed in a bubble mailer, as I would be afraid of the different team bags of cards would move around a lot in the bubble mailer, thus damaging them. I have heard of people using BCW boxes, but would you just slap a shipping label on the box and call it good? Or do people typically put that into a bubble mailer so it's at least concealed and not seen as a big box of cards? The main reason I'm trying to not use BCW anymore is because I've been burned by them after spending nearly $400 in supplies. The quality of their boxes are also not as good as I thought they would be. They had refused to take the code you have provided for the 10% off after I had placed my order. I've been watching your videos for a few months now and have gone back to watch some of your older content as well. I'm not sure if you ever listed all of the shipping supplies you use like the team/poly bags, various box sizes and brands and any other must have shipping supply products. I know you're a fan of the shipping shields and have even shifted the type of envelopes you use for bigger orders that would be in between a PWE and bubble mailer. I'm just not sure if you have ever gone in detail with all of the products you use.
Dennis Butler is still on the loose.
I'm trying to decide between the card bot or the magic sorter
I haven't used the Magic Sorter myself, but much of the feedback or reviews I've heard about it are that it's not simple to get set up and often comes with a lot of maintenance or even repair work that needs doing to get it going smoothly, which is why I've not jumped on getting one. Haven't really had any similar kind of issues with this CardBot though, just some fiddling with settings to get it dialed in
