I think a lot of people struggle with creators not "picking a lane" when it comes to content on hobbies that people are passionate about. What I mean is that buying/selling as a full time reseller content has a very different vibe than building a dream collection and flipping your way along when you're not a full time reseller professional. When you blur those lines people get quite riled up about it because of how it impacts the overall market. So long story short you can't please everyone, but the boom in the hobby and flipping videos do impact the market and its not affordable anymore without a new way to fund it when you can't even go to garage sales anymore and pick up a game for $5 because even Grandpa Joe knows it's worth $50. You also see this change when you look at other creators, Pixel Game Squad pops up reselling prices in their videos because they flip to fund their collections, and Retro Rick who now goes to flea markets to buy stock for his store more than solely his personal collection. It's kind of weird to accept that this is how people fund their hobbies is flipping but people particularly have an issue when its casual folks vs professional full time resellers.
It's no surprise that an episode of a series gets lower numbers if it takes more than a month for a new episode to release. Sadly to see that it came to an end. I watched the series not just for the games but because of you and your storytelling. Other channels just don't click for me like yours did but hey, respect the decision and hope it pays off. I'll still be here watching eventually but will miss this kind of content.
I think viewers need to be given a friendly and gentle reminder that Caleb is his own person who can make decisions for himself. I've only been watching his videos for about 3 months now and haven't had a chance yet to watch the GameCube gambit. Regardless if he sold even 1 game from that collection, I think it's important to understand that Caleb and Caleb alone makes decisions on where his life is going and what he wants to do with it and his channel. Making assumptions about someone without TRULY knowing them as a human being is wrong. I wish you all the best phoenix resale and will continue to watch the videos that you create 🎉👍
Do what you feel like doing, I like watching whatever you put out but there’s plenty of channels out there for any given thing people want to see so you need to do stuff you’re excited about. I’m guessing TH-cam isn’t that much of a chunk of your income anymore so don’t focus on that stuff and just do what you want. And Kody with a K is awesome!!
Have you considered that a factor of the lower performing videos recently could be that the thumbnail was unappealing to look at? While it makes sense thematically, it's pretty well established that looking unhappy or sick can significantly hurt the click rate of a thumbnail.
Also, I enjoyed your collection videos cause it shows how we can approach doing such challenges for ourselves. Didn’t really care when you sold off the GameCube set cause the channel was never called “Phoenix collecting” or whatever. Plus I thought it was cool how you have some of the real Grails out. Like I think it was Retro wolf you gave the Pokebox?
OK I just have to come back to mention this, the very next video I watched after this one - THE VERY NEXT VIDEO I WATCHED - was a clip of Orson Welles on the Dick Cavett show where he uses the word "wangle" in a sentence. It's the one where he mentions having somehow run into both Winston Churchill and Hitler a various points in his childhood. I guess if Orson Welles had wangle in his vocabulary, it most certainly must be a real word.
Lol. Where did he day anything about not reselling anymore ? And to say there's no future is the dumbest thing to say. There's been a great market for video games since they came out. Everything is profitable as long as you get it for the right price.
You haven't done the "Cave arcade game full kits" collecting video yet. If you go for the extremely rare Cave Matsuri editions you'll be busy for months, maybe years.
my guess, you gotten too much hate, for wanting to be more of a reseller, than a collector. Plus you want to focus on making wealth right now while younger. I get that completely. Your quest for your collection made it very unique, because it allowed me to see how different journey it is for someone part of reseller world than average person. So thanks for fun videos, i hope one day you come back to "Part 2" Of Switch Collection. Cause their many Switch Gems to get still. Good luck with any steps and journey you gonna take. =p But like the most viewed video, wasnt as enjoyable to watch, vs when you go to different conventions trying to find deals, so you can make budget to buy new switch games, and see what new switch games you going to find every video. These videos kept coming back.
Maybe u should start a podcast and have guests come on or do a podcast while ur at other people's store's or game rooms. Pixel game squad does a pretty decent podcast videos on TH-cam. However, back to mission switch, they come yes to see if you have collected the all nintendo switch games they have but also because you are doing it. If KodywithaK did a PS3 series to get all the games it wouldn't be the same if they like u better. It be fun to watch on the down time but I'm sure whatever content u make people will watch regardless.
I think playing the antagonist to the “youtube comment section” aka Hater Hanks is the play moving forward for the main channel especially when it comes to buying and selling product. Let them revel in it 😂
He should just be a genuine person and make actually good content, instead of complaining about the haters and manipulating people into being sympathetic for him in every video
I will unsubscribe if the channel is only interviews cause I don’t care for them and the collecting series were what brought me here since RetroRick stopped too. That being said, I understand it’s not motivating if you don’t like these type of videos anymore. In the end, it’s your channel, you do wtv you want with it. Thanks for the suggestions I’ll subscribe to them!
I’m not a hater man I love the channel and the interview videos more than the mission switch tbh. But idk, I know you’re in a good place money wise and you’ve got the buy list/app setup, etc. But don’t just throw away a large portion of your audience now. When people “make it” they forget what got them to where they are in the first place. And I know you might not be as “passionate” about these mission videos but give it some effort and try. You don’t need to feel like you’re petting puppies or something every time you do something. Sometimes you just have to do it to do it, you know? Don’t get complacent now that you’ve made it, and don’t forget a huge part of what lead to your success which is your TH-cam success which consists of those types of videos as well.
if this becomes just a resell channel then gonna have to unsubscribe we follow for the game collections and game hunting not watching u just make a profit maybe take a break get your motivation back

Other channels just don't click for me like yours did but hey, respect the decision and hope it pays off. I'll still be here watching eventually but will miss this kind of content.
Because you end up selling them in the end and piss off everyone 😂
New content journey sounds great! Love seeing the behind the scenes videos like the game app too
Thanks for inspiring us all to take new and uncharted paths on our own channels! Also, one day I'll find a way to beat you at Smash Bros! 😅
Well, that makes me feel a little sad. I have interviewed over 30 collectors with TH-cam channels and apparently I am not even on your radar.
He knows that there is no sustained future in video game reselling and is moving on to become a video documentarian.
Lol. Where did he day anything about not reselling anymore ? And to say there's no future is the dumbest thing to say. There's been a great market for video games since they came out. Everything is profitable as long as you get it for the right price.
I have loved watching you grow! Great work! Keep it up!
This is too depressing.
The Brutal Reality of Having an Amazon Renewed store 😢
Quitting collecting? Where's my pitchfork?
lol right. Man needs to be jailed for Genocide and other war crimes 🤣🤣🤣
Kody with a k is god tier TH-camr
That beard be lookin THICCCCCCCC buddy - Siked for the pivot - Take chances dude its how you got here.
Ambitious and smart moves all around! Keep it up bud!
You haven't done the "Cave arcade game full kits" collecting video yet. If you go for the extremely rare Cave Matsuri editions you'll be busy for months, maybe years.
are we gonna get that collection overview then?????
Riff really mailed it in with this editing 🫠
YOU was the only one making COLLECTION VIDEOS????
my guess, you gotten too much hate, for wanting to be more of a reseller, than a collector.
Take your wife on vacation.
“Let your wife take you on vacation”
With what money at this point lol
Please someone make the rise and fall of this man
Your storytelling is excellent and your thoughtful approach to TH-cam has been so helpful. Excited to see where your creativity takes you.
Always like it when TH-cam creators are willing to shout out other creators they enjoy. Your a good human caleb
lol I love how people don’t know how business work
😂 That last line, jab or plug….all three count at the end of the video 😅
Maybe u should start a podcast and have guests come on or do a podcast while ur at other people's store's or game rooms. Pixel game squad does a pretty decent podcast videos on TH-cam.
However, back to mission switch, they come yes to see if you have collected the all nintendo switch games they have but also because you are doing it. If KodywithaK did a PS3 series to get all the games it wouldn't be the same if they like u better. It be fun to watch on the down time but I'm sure whatever content u make people will watch regardless.
don't forget chase's chanel he does a awesome job at chase at the right price with similiar formatting as well
Well the collecting videos were the only ones I was interested in... good run. Catch ya on the flip.
I think playing the antagonist to the “youtube comment section” aka Hater Hanks is the play moving forward for the main channel especially when it comes to buying and selling product. Let them revel in it 😂
It will get more engagement!
He should just be a genuine person and make actually good content, instead of complaining about the haters and manipulating people into being sympathetic for him in every video
Does it rhyme with DJ Smoldies??
Damn, so i guess i just lost my youtuber. Good luck in your futur project.
Why are you talking about quieting collecting videos on your side channel and not the main one ? 🤔
Make what you want to make, I'll watch what I want to watch. Maybe that aligns
What ever happen cheap find gold finds are they still around these days on youtube
Nope. All their videos are hidden from public view.
"you could go watch pixel game squad" hahaha. i'll let the ads play out just for that
Here before Riff yells at you for not saying Pixel Game Squad going for the complete NES set.
Really enjoying KodyWithaK's channel!
“BANNNNNGGERRRR”
Make a long finale episode for the switch, try and get as many as possible. I've got a shelter generations I need to get rid of
if this becomes just a resell channel then gonna have to unsubscribe we follow for the game collections and game hunting not watching u just make a profit maybe take a break get your motivation back
I can't stand Cody. Annoys the hell out of me the way he talks and does stuff. Will miss your collecting videos
Bro I know your gonna be all over that switch 2 when it drops lol
