Five nights at Freddy’s is a classic in the indie horror scene and is a source of inspiration to a lot of hobbyist game developers, myself included. With the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie coming out soon, I decided to pay tribute and try my hand at making a sit and survive horror game in the style of the classics.
Paul and I are not the best when it comes to art. My 2D has improved over the years but has been getting better. Not good enough for a project like this. So, we decided to turn to Ai generated art. Earlier this year my friend Jared and I attempted to play around with it some. People have been saying that Ai art has massively improved, so I wanted to put it to the test and create another game with it. This time based off of the horror game franchise, Five Nights At Freddy's.
Ai tools have certainly gotten more advanced! Will it be enough to make a convincing horror game? How did my computer break during this project?
