Online grocery shopping has helped us tremendously too! I love how if I go over budget I can scroll back through to remove what I might not really "need" in order to stick to budget. So easy!
I've been saving with the two pronged approach of using Fresh 20 plan (my groceries for three adults is between $50 and $75 now) and ordering online at Walmart. This prevents going into the store and impulse shopping. Plus there's no fee for pick up, and saves time. This 5 meal plan means using mostly whole foods, using it all up, AND having plenty of leftovers for our lunches. Thanks so much for sharing.
Finally... Today, I made figuring out Food Inventory my mission. I was missing this step. Reality hit me. I was spending too much on groceries. Thanks for creating this video.
Thank you Kallie! I take my kitchen inventory and do meal planning too, and it is a huge money saver! Thank you for the tip about online shopping for the groceries, that is a great idea! I am usually on a very tight, firm budget for groceries so I like that I won't be tempted and I can see what I'm spending as I go. Plus I won't have to drag my kids to the store on nights when my husband works late. :-)
I shop once a month, with one mid-month trip for milk, fruits, and veggies. My meal planning is for one month at a time. I have 4 boys ranging from 6 months to 5 years. With diapers , soaps, and toiletries, our monthly budget is $500 for all. We also do grocery pick up, which is awesome. I liked to see Miles in your video! He's so cute!
I have 5 boys and a 200+lb husband and another baby otw so our just food budget is about $800- I try to aim for $200 a week but I also make my own baby food and dont include formula in that count so usually it's more like $1000. So I've decided to try meal planning alittle better, as I only usually "meal plan" for a week at a time and sometimes I dont even do that. Any tips on cutting down? I hit the discount stores and I always have food but always seem to have to buy more! The older boys appetites have really stepped up the mont couple months and I'm just struggling to keep up with them and the homemade baby food etc.
My tip is to pick two to three stores that are close to each other and stick with them. You start to learn their store layouts (makes for quicker shopping) and what items to get where (best price, highest quality, etc.) For example, I have 3 stores I regular shop in and I never get milk or yogurt in store A as the brand they sell doesn't taste as good as in store B. However, store A has the best deals on water which we consume a lot. It usually takes me about 1.5 hrs to go food shopping every week. In that time I go to 3 stores and it also includes the drive there and home again. I know these three stores almost inside-out by now, so I get in and out super quickly.
Secret crush on glam That’s something I want to do, but right now only my husband drives, and he refuses to hit more than one store. He’s not even the one who goes in to shop! Then he complains about the grocery bills. 😡 So frustrating.
I think online ordering is saving me a ton of money too!! I’ve probably saved $100 over the past few weeks by doing Walmart grocery pickup! Great video
I lost what you were saying after seeing your cute little sweetie. Omg! He's perfect! And he knows it that's why he can't stop looking at the camera. Now I have to watch again to listen to your words lol
My meal plan is weekly. Two of the days out of the week are always the same...crockpot Monday ( most tired day) and leftover Friday. Always make a bigger meal to eat again in the next few days or freeze. Save time and money. Put your meals on a calendar and save the calendars to refer back to.
I use a shopper which, of course increases the cost of the food. My approach is to use the computer to list what items I already have in home/fridge/freezer, then search for recipes on-line that use these items. Discovered Cowboy Caviar, summer minestrone soup, really good salmon crepes , etc. thereby narrowing down the grocery list. Thanks for your inspiration😎
A helpful tip is if you have a discount grocery store around! You can get multiple meals for only $20 (like grill food) just pay attention to the expiration date and you’ll be good. More tips, at Walmart they will discount older bread and older sandwiches (subs) score!
I've cut out morning coffee shop coffee. we brew kuerig coffee at home and just add flavorings or creamer and ice sometimes. $5/day on workdays...this saves $100 a month!
Enjoyed seeing Miles his super cute look on his face at the beginning of the video made my day better. Also love this video I have started a budget for groceries this month. Perfect timing! 😊
I love meal planning!! We make it our goal to completely run out of food because then we know we're only buying what we are using! 👏 👏 Our fridge looks really sad by the end of the month 😂😂
But First, He Is ADORABLE! And Second, I LOVE these tips!Which are not difficult, but the encouragement to keep at it is So Kind! Thank you for the video. I got that English muffin deal once too BOGT, Awesome.
GREAT tips! I also recommend joining I-Botta. It's an amazing app that gives you rebates on groceries and household products. The big trick with I- Botta is to NOT be tempted to buy items you don't normally buy. We have a family of 4 and I got over $200 in rebates last year!
I’ve been married 6+ years... and this blew my mind 😂 I feel so silly for never checking my kitchen before meal planning!! I couldn’t figure out why we always waste so much food! I’m so pumped to try this! Thanks!
Super cute baby boy!!! I love your videos! I was just thinking last night I should maybe try grocery pick up instead of always going inside to shop since I always get distracted and buy stuff I don't need.
Expecting baby #4 I’d love to be able to order groceries online every week but the only thing I dislike about it is I can’t use coupons. And I don’t get a physical receipt that I can use on my rebate apps.
Throwing money in your garbage can, AFTER doing the work of going to the store, buying it, bringing it in the house, finding room in the fridge, feeling guilty when it goes bad, etc. ;)
Great tips ☺ This is super helpful as I have been trying to implement the first step and eating everything I already have to avoid wastage:) Your baby is super cute!
You should see if you have a local bread store outlet! You can get name brand bread items super cheap! I like to eat bagels a lot and they usually have Thomas bagels for a dollar each!
Great idea's!! I've been meal planning for 3 years now. One question for you, have you ever tried making your own English muffins? They are super simple and take no time. I love seeing new ways to save money on groceries and I always try to make what I can before I buy it.
It’s impressive to pay off about $70,000 of debt in less than a year. That’s not even a possibility for many no matter how they budget when income is less than $70,000 a year, and you own very little of value to sell off. But even if it’s just to be able to eat healthily and be able to live within your means, budgeting helps.
I buy Thomas' English muffins too and get them for $1.10 per package. We have a bread outlet store nearby so I highly recommend searching for one near you. I get high quality brands, usually 4/$5.
I’m sorry I couldn’t concentrate on a thing u were saying... it was like blah blah blah,... have u seen that baby anyone?? 😍😍😍😍😍 he is gorgeous (I did go back and listen) lol
I’m not sure if I agree with the online shopping grocery. Every time I order they mess up, give me substitutes, they don’t have the products I ordered. Maybe they are not good where I live 🤷♀️
Really wish that I could order online but with my allergies that is just not possible because I have to read every single ingredients list every single time.
What a sweet baby!!!!! Awww, I want to wrap him up in cuddles and cover him with kisses! My babies are all off to elementary school every morning now. ; ) I miss the baby stage. Thanks for great tips, dear, have a good week.

Just love how streamlined your videos are. Great tips!

Wow that's amazing ! I have teenagers and 2 of them are boys and my grocery bill is that a week almost ! Lol. Boys eat ALOT when they are teenagers.

Hi. These are good tips. I like the emphasis that you start by looking at what you already have in your fridge.
A tip video that isn’t filled with fluff and is actually helpful! THANK YOU! 🙏

I would recommend using the order pickup or free delivery if they have it. It’s a huge time saver.
No wonder they changed the layout for my local grocery store. Trying to make me pickup more if I have to browse around.
I've been using the flip app for a year now and I love it. I can see both grocery stores in my town and plan what to get where.
You are so cute and I love those ideas! What a blessing to find this! I pray we have the success that you and your husband have had!
Awesome tips! Meal planning is a must 🙌🏻 Miles is so adorable 💙 so happy you included his sweet little face 🤗
I think online ordering is saving me a ton of money too!! I’ve probably saved $100 over the past few weeks by doing Walmart grocery pickup! Great video

Excellent idea regarding ordering you groceries from home! I never thought about it that way but good point about avoiding end-cap temptations.
Thanks a ton, i was afraid to look at my spending until I finally did and I'm now ready to make the healthy money changes.

& literally I am the girl on Pinterest hahaha
Having a list of the meals you like to cook is a great help too. Keep adding to it as you remember favorites or find a new one. 👍🏻
Super cute baby boy!!! I love your videos! I was just thinking last night I should maybe try grocery pick up instead of always going inside to shop since I always get distracted and buy stuff I don't need.
It's really great! I like it!
Great ideas! These all make a lot of sense.
Miles is so quick. Dont like buying a item and then find out you didn't need to get it. Like inventory idea. Clip board , her I come.
Seems just like Jordan Page’s meal planning routine. Love it!
I was just thinking this. This video is almost identical to the jordan page video 😑
Kala Hottenstine yeah lol it’s very similar. Great minds think alike i guess
The allrecipes dinner spinner is a great app for recipe research.
Thomas's English Muffins!!! Yes!! They freeze just fine.
Oh man, gave a thumbs up just for the adorable little guy.
Great grocery tips! Thanks for sharing with us!
Just went through my pantry... I could have 5 weeks or more worth of meals..... wow
Expecting baby #4 I’d love to be able to order groceries online every week but the only thing I dislike about it is I can’t use coupons. And I don’t get a physical receipt that I can use on my rebate apps.
I like the first two suggestions. I’m not on board with number three - I want to choose my own fresh vegetables and fruit.
Yea I hear you on that. That's why I still go into the store 2x a month usually
Thanks for your helpful tips Kallie.... Your baby is so cute. ☺️

I have never heard of the Flip app before. I just downloaded it because of this video.
Whoa, is that a regional thing? Just bought the Thomas English muffins this morning at Walmart and the regular price was $2.48. I'm in Illinois.
You should see if you have a local bread store outlet! You can get name brand bread items super cheap! I like to eat bagels a lot and they usually have Thomas bagels for a dollar each!
KiwiCakeful yess and you can buy some cream cheese or butter and cinnamon to put on top 😍
Great idea's!! I've been meal planning for 3 years now. One question for you, have you ever tried making your own English muffins? They are super simple and take no time. I love seeing new ways to save money on groceries and I always try to make what I can before I buy it.
Heidi Gartman I’m intrigued! Can you share your recipe?

Miles is here! He's so handsome! Great video! tfs! : )
I’m not sure if I agree with the online shopping grocery. Every time I order they mess up, give me substitutes, they don’t have the products I ordered. Maybe they are not good where I live 🤷♀️
It happens to us too. We stopped ordering things for pickup that aren't boxed items or paper products.
I make home made english muffin and I love them too 😜
I don't see the blog posts?
So practical and helpful! What do you enjoy on your english muffins? 😋
haha everything! Eggs sandwiches, or PB & J, or sometimes we'll make english muffin pizzas, or just have them on the side of a meal haha
Cook with a steamer and a pressure cooker to save gas.
The English muffins are $2.97 at SAMS CLUB..for 2 pks!!!😊🙏🧡🙏🧡🙏 yess they are delishhh!!
Really wish that I could order online but with my allergies that is just not possible because I have to read every single ingredients list every single time.
Do you have to pay for the bags they put the groceries in when you order to pick up your groceries
Great tips!
The shipping costs like half of what you're buying though pretty much when shopping online...
Why would anyone dislike this video?
People who are miserable themselves and jealous of her life. I mean look at the stinkin cute baby boy !!
I was going to say the same thing. They are miserable and want to do their best to “share the wealth”
Right??!!
Could u make a video on how to save money ad a first time momma I'm 19 and struggling 😂😊
What a sweet baby!!!!! Awww, I want to wrap him up in cuddles and cover him with kisses! My babies are all off to elementary school every morning now. ; ) I miss the baby stage. Thanks for great tips, dear, have a good week.
Loved these tips! Thank you :)
