Very excited about your sewing plans for this year 🎉 such amazing choices and having the opportunity to create your new sewing space will be such a liberating process. I love your theme for this year as well -improvement-. I watch this awesome Aussie TH-cam vlogger @sewingseamswithdeb and she’s started the hashtag #chooseoneword. The idea is to choose a word that reflects our intention(s) for the next year as opposed to resolutions. I’ve never been one for resolutions as they are generally so specific/absolutist and if you don’t do it you can feel so deflated. Intentions are more about what we’re working/building towards and how we feel. They leave room to making adjustments, celebrating the process/ journey and recognising the fact that life can get in the way sometimes! Anyway enough rambling. Go well and looking forward to following your adventures this year 😊

Nice to meet you…a note on prewashing fabric… it is usually done to protect against shrinkage. An option it is cut a six inch square and wash just that…compare back to the original fabric…then dry it…that way you can tell if you are going to be negatively surprised after making the garment and then having to clean it. I got that tip from Peggy Sagers of Silhouette Patterns. Chris in Florida

Creating a new sewing studio sounds very exciting. I loved having my sewing room built in the garden, it’s my favourite place to be! I’ve had it 2 years now and still tweaking the layout 🤷♀️😊 Your sewing plans look great too. I’m most looking forward to seeing how your see through dress turns out and love the bright green loungewear plans! 🙌🫶🏻
The sewing room plans are a bit scary ha ha , I still don’t know what colour scheme I want to have 🤣 I’m so exciting about my up coming sewing projects , just hope they come out ok 🙈❤️
