You made a very important distinction which has been overlooked for years and I'm thrilled to hear it. Mental health problems need to be addressed by professionals. Spiritual problems can be confused with mental health problems. For instance: depression. There is much in Torah that addresses sadness, lack of faith, issues of trust, giving the benefit of the doubt, etc. But when sadness is, as the Rabbi said, beyond the realm of the spiritual, and is a mental health issue, such that the condition interferes with functioning, relationships, ability to concentrate, etc. it is time to seek help in the professional world. "Mental health," is a broad label. There are personality disorders, clinical depression, psychopathy, neurosis, etc. In other words, the term, "mental health," is insufficient to describe a condition as is the word, "issues."

A rabihere in Washington state Issaquah WA stated
Don't drink mentalhealthand hewish faith together .
I asked this Rabi for help and direction. They said they could help with jewish services, but I told the rabi that I was excludedfrom such services by the jewish heart services as my partners parents would not allow me to attend
Then the rabi scolded me by saying b v don't use the jewish faith to talk about mental health issues , u stated this has everything to do with mental health and what comes along
