I think it would make the stronghold more intimidating if instead of them being obviously surprised, there's like three separate forces, and you control one army at a time as they are decimated one by one, until finally you control your commander's army which manages to capture the Dark Eldar base.
@@resolutionblaze363 you do damage but it's mostly superficial maybe you level a sub base but you'll get swarmed fast then the commander leads the assault on the most isolated one now that all the units are away

Just a thought, but with Necrons in the slave cages, why would Dark Eldar even consider taking Necrons captive? As far as I can tell, Necrons are useless to the Dark Eldar, being machines that don't show any emotion and, therefore, shouldn't respond to the torture. From a narrative perspective, this doesn't make any sense.

You know, there are many horrors in the WH40k universe, but the Dark Eldar just sicken me. I await the day when my Sisters of Battle will purge Lacunae in holy fire.
That Dais Of Destruction is a pretty powerful vehicle. Nice ability it has. Other than that, the DE are really good with all their abilities they got when they have enough souls.
Like I said, a "stray" Tyranid bioship. As you know, 'nids can be seperated from the hive mind. The Shadow in the Warp only applies when there is an entire fleet present due to the sheer number of like minds.
The Dai is quite easy to take down, assuming you don't suck. All you have to do is wait for it to come, then trap it (Various ways, eg. Curse of the Machine Spirit spam for Imperial Guard, line the way with Webway gates for Eldar, Deep Strike Terminators for Space Marines.) Hell, you can trap it in with your own men if you must, the simple fact that the objective drops by for a visit frequently makes this quite easy to win if you're strategically savvy.
@Fr0st1989 I don't think it can be, the cast was almost all comprised of Canadians and the actor you're thinking of was in LA. He would have been amazing as Drukhari voices though
Tau are represented in the Warp, but their signal is so small they are almost invisible to daemons (the Inquisitor handbook states so) and have great resistance to psychic powers affecting their minds. About the Tyranids, maybe a small bio-ship without a Norn Queen could be corrupted, but Tyranids are already controlled by some mysterious force. It is rumoured to be the Outsider, the 4º C'Tan. That would make corruption by Chaos almost unfeasible (although not totally impossible)
That is the reason why I actually HATE Dark Eldar... well I sometimes dislike Eldar a bit but Dark Eldar are far worse. They might be very intelligent, but they are so blind because of their endless disgustful arrogance, that they critically underestimate their foes... and that's why they are the big losers of the galaxy. That's why they get defeated sooner or later. No matter... Eldar or Dark Eldar, they are damned to die. xD I play the tabletop game and I really don't like to play against any of these two races because I do not like hideous and cowardly strategies. But this archon is narrow minded like all Dark Eldar >.< they hate honourable fights and they make fun of warlords who directly charge into battle being blind for possible traps. But they cannot fool Speess Mahreenz, they expect traps everywhere. Arrogance can make even the most intelligent individuals become stupid as shit like anger kills any intelligence. :D How can people actually like that bondage bukkake analsex double penetration lovers? :D
RavenWarrior90 I play elder on both dawn of war and table top. The way we play us calling “cunning strategy” you would lose very quickly with the mind set you display.
This is the most easiest faction to battle in Soulstorm; all you need to do is to take down Dais of Destruction. If Dais dies, you win against the Dark Eldar. But they are not pushovers, you need superior firepower against them. Note: Dais is said to be one of the oldest of the Dark Eldar, he was one of the few who founded their new home planet(could not spell it).
@deadzare It's called Commaragh and Dais of Destruction is the ship that "he" rides... his name is Asdrubael Vect. He's ancient but damn near every eldar is. Commaragh, from fluff anyway, appears to be just a really, really hardcore craftworld.
I know your comment is 8 years old, but I'll say it anyways. Gorgutz was canon according to DOW3...though I like to pretend DOW3 doesnt' exist. I agree that Boreale was a dipshit though. Biggest embarrassment of the Blud Rehvens followed by dumbass Diomedes and Kyras who as a librarian thinks it's a good idea to worship Khorne. I actually liked Davian Thule in Dark Crusade (even though they had the same VA in both). The Blood Ravens were at their best in the original DOW2 campaign with Commander Hairgel Aramus and the boys.
I've read of Orks possessed by Chaos, although this might be outdated fluff. They usually don't last long because they are killed by other Orks for being Un-Orky. BTW, Tau DO register in the warp, but their signature is small compared to other races. Chaos Tau may not be impossible. In the novel, Storm of Iron, a stray Tyranid bio-ship was corrupted by Chaos and forced to serve the Iron Warriors.
The Stronghold of the DE is pretty good for a challenge. The Eldar may be strong with their own games, but the DE is invicible. The only fault they have is they the imprisoned soldiers you get from their cages. Oh well, look out when you see them attacking! They don't play and yes, they do make the chaos marines look a bit weak this time around! Maybe the last Chaos Lord should have been here for this!!
@InnocentDarkside Archon Tahril:......we would tear it into pieces. *Archon Tahril leaves* *Haemonculus desperately shakes Guardsman* Haemonculus: Wake up, wake up Guardsman, you must not die. You still have a timeshare to sell to me instead.
the dark eldar were once eldar but they formed pleasure cults and were eventualy crused by a chaos god with a thing called the turst which means that basicaly they need to feed on the souls of victims
Guardsman: Oh, hi, Mr. Tahril, I'm from the regiment down the hill and I was wondering if you'd be interested in purchasing a timeshare and-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH, MY ORGANS I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD!
@Rimfire83 They are pretty much Dark elves, as Eldar are High/wood elves. They're basically space elves. There is a lot of stuff linking the elves and Eldar together, you just need to look at the fluff.
There's no fluff connection between the Outsider and the Tyranids. Given that the nid's make extensive use of the warp, and the controlling force is a powerful warp presense, and that the C'Tan are essentially allergic to the warp, I think that any sort of connection is unlikely.
Vect is crazy as the chaos cultist, but despite of Lexicanum says he's the most powerful fella amongst the Dark Eldar, he run as a coward every time the enemy scratch his Dais of Destruction with screaming, I NEED REPAIR I NEED REPAIR!!!
@beastclaw33 Your right, thought some of the stronghold bonuses (like the Tau cannon) aren't working as proper, but the game is a bit more fair than dark crusade, 'coz on hard DC was impossible (at least for me).
Commorroagh used to be a major (?) port in the Eldar Empire. Sort of like Shanghai...except evil. Then the empire collapsed and the survivors fled into the webway.
From what l understand due to labor being done by their technology, having free time the Eldar began to create pleasure cults, they then took a fancy to causing pain to others, thus creating one of the four Dark Gods resulting in the creation of the Eye of Terror, the surviving cults fled to the webway creating a city safe from the warp, the cults would then be known as the Dark Eldar. ls that correct?
The Dark Eldar are awesome. People keep complaining about them but I can use them in all sorts of ways. You can outrush anyone in the game easily or if you want to take them head on just use warp beasts, wyches, scourges, archon, ravagers and a few talos and you can outtank anyone. I know, ive done it countless times. Dark Eldar rock.
Archon: If an army approach surly we will see it coming.
Gorgutz: HA! DAY DIDN'T EVEN SEE OUR ARMY COMIN!
WE JUST HOIDE UNDER DA PURPLE BLANKET!
I think it would make the stronghold more intimidating if instead of them being obviously surprised, there's like three separate forces, and you control one army at a time as they are decimated one by one, until finally you control your commander's army which manages to capture the Dark Eldar base.

Quite hillarious talk, considering that the only thing vanilla AI can do is headbashing against the wall.

*Archon Tahril leaves*
*Haemonculus desperately shakes Guardsman*
Haemonculus: Wake up, wake up Guardsman, you must not die. You still have a timeshare to sell to me instead.
MY GARDEN!
dark eldar are my second favourite race they are so cool
the dark eldar are not all there are they.
Nope.
and chaos would just laugh maniacally and yell out: more please more! i enjoy it!
well thats just how they roll
Dark Eldar give me such a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Lol, jk! Honestly, they scare me a LOT. I would NEVER want to see, much less meet one.
the fact there the deffinition of a "killing shadow"
The Dais of Destruction
10,000+ actually. He was pretty young when it happened at the dawn of Slaanesh.
Tahril: I am the terror that flaps in the night... Uh, I mean the poisoned dagger that brings swift death, hehe...
i can hear one of the warriors,
"THE PAIN"!!!
@tuberhone
Thats HERESY!
the dark eldar were once eldar but they formed pleasure cults and were eventualy crused by a chaos god with a thing called the turst which means that basicaly they need to feed on the souls of victims
@bearsfan97 no but they were there when Slaanesh was made
@tuberhone Yes, it's one of the few good things about Soulstorm, it made me feel like the Dark Eldar were ultra sinister.......
There is a lot of stuff linking the elves and Eldar together, you just need to look at the fluff.
poor guy, that guardsman
They all swallowed magical frogs!
Also reaver jetbikes are sick after you get 1st night shield upgrade and reaver firing module.
WILL THEY TAKE AWAY MY GARDEN
Uncalled for...
@xxlCortez yah,i liked the whole you defeat a race you get a bonus thing.in dc all i got was some req
@paleface171 that is more or less what happened. Commorroragh was always there, but it was smaller. the survivors made it bigger
Its not like he has a chance in hell of getting 10ft away before those Mandrakes slice his hamstring's apart.
You can try, but you wont take away my garden
There's no fluff connection between the Outsider and the Tyranids. Given that the nid's make extensive use of the warp, and the controlling force is a powerful warp presense, and that the C'Tan are essentially allergic to the warp, I think that any sort of connection is unlikely.
Vect is crazy as the chaos cultist, but despite of Lexicanum says he's the most powerful fella amongst the Dark Eldar, he run as a coward every time the enemy scratch his Dais of Destruction with screaming, I NEED REPAIR I NEED REPAIR!!!
yea I always noticed how Voldo from soul calibur looked like a mandrake when I had devled into the troop choice list of the Dark Eldar
Whis page now belongs to Dark Eldar!!
I'd really need the dark eldar's sound files.
@beastclaw33 Your right, thought some of the stronghold bonuses (like the Tau cannon) aren't working as proper, but the game is a bit more fair than dark crusade, 'coz on hard DC was impossible (at least for me).
It does seem like it doesn't it.
Random other army: RAGGLEFRAGGLE!!
Archon Tahril: Son of a Bi***!!
Why would Vect come to Lacunae, he lives 'happily' in Commoragh
Can't be blamed for all the dead rivals if he's out of town.
I fight for the Greater Good!
