I think you would find that the local people work harder than you can imagine, and also take a lot of pride cleaning their homes and streets daily. Far more than most people in 1st world countries do. Also the hospitality is amazing.

@Thomas Johnson i dont know which thing that u accepted, but one thing i must say, this part of the is totally different that you are talking about, i think may be you are talking about europe, when its come to this part of the world, knever ever think to compare with europe or usa, europe is a another part, this is south asian part of the world,so in there also people can find different kind of culture, people, hospitality and those, but this is typical sri lankan culture and tradition that they have there own style, you can say anything from your words, but the best part is you need to feel it, and then will understand, this pearl of indian ocean, and its one and only sri lanka!!!

We went to Colombo, Galle, Unawatuna, Weligama, Mirissa (whale watching), Matara, Ella, Demodara, Haputale, Nuwareliya, Diyaluma Falls, Ramboda Falls, Nallathanniya (Adams Peak), Kandy, Dambulla, Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Pigeon island. But we still think it wasn't enough and we would love to go back one more time to this beautiful country. Take care.

Yes. Nuwara Eliya weather is diferent than other parts of Sri Lanka... from 1 celcius to 18 celcius. Not only weather , architecture of all construction similar to English Architecture... With beautiful tea gardens , waterfalls , beautiful national parks like horton plains Nuwara Eliya makes a heaven on the earth where you must visit befor you die ❤

I’m a pre-k teacher and before the quarantine I was teaching the kids about Chinese tea. We were suppose to go on a field trip to a local tea plantation in the states but obviously couldn’t go. Loved this video. Made me miss my students but was so cool to experience the Sri Lanka life.

Rod Reves there aren’t many. I think less than a handful. I live in SC. There is a local plantation that I was going to go to that grows tea. ‘Sweet tea’ lol

@@nmhthefish I'm not sure about USA. But the Ceylon tea which comes into Europe is mixed with garbage tea most of the time. Don't try tea brands with Arabic letters if it is not a good reputed brand. 😅
Same thing happened to Sri Lankan pepper. There were exporters who were caught trying to mix Sri Lankan perpper with a Vietnamese pepper.

Love the place you stayed at. The people seemed so nice, especially to bring supper. Sure would like to try some recipes with coconut milk. Since we've been watching your videos we have been turned on to far east cooking, and we try different recipes. Those Tuk Tuk's must-have incredible shocks with all the dirt roads.

I'm inspired with your editing. Love the subtle way you zoom out of a shot and zoom into the map and add a swishing sound effect. You don't see the cuts you Feel them. Sri Lanka does have surprisingly varied climates. I admired the courage of hiring a Tuk Tuk self drive as the driving out there can be a bit scary. Sri Lankan names are difficult to pronounce. Having a long standing friend and having been to Sri Lanka on more than one occasion I have been become quite proficient and surprise others out there when words trip off the tongue. Hence Nuwara Eliya is pronounced as one word Nu-rail-ea. I spent Christmas in 1996 at the St Andrew's Hotel in Nuwara Eliya in 1996. Another joyful video to watch, Eric and Allison seem to adapt well to new locations and laugh at shortcomings etc.
