Ms. Rebecca, please take a break if you need to. We will all still be here. Also, I’m so very sorry to hear about Lion passing away. He was a very sweet boy. He is with his sister Dora now.
Wait...Lion? What did I miss? Oh Rebecca! My heart is breaking for you. The loss of Dora and now Lion? I can't even imagine. We beg of you, take time to heal. Your mental and physical health matter so much more than any video we'll ever watch. Sending you so much love and hugs
Sorry to hear you are sick. TH-cam sucks that if you miss posting it can effect algorithms. On a positive note, Congratulations reaching 40K subscribers. A wonderful achievment and so much work to get there.
Feel better, Lady Rebecca. **hands you a bowl of chicken soup** 🥣 The bodice looks great! This dress is going to be beautiful when it's done!! **can't wait to see it**
The comment about using a thicker yarn for piping for plus size body proportionality is GENIUS. I've tried store ought piping and always felt it looked like, not as good or intentional as I want, and it makes SO much sense that it was too thin! You're amazing! ❤
It turned out really nice! Hopefully your bug didn't last too long, you should not worry about a video for us! Sometimes you just truly need a break, we will be here when you get back.
I love how it turned out. I do sympathize with you on being sick. I was sick for thanksgiving too and still had to go to work the next few days. I'm still dealing with lingering cold symptoms and my sister was sick the next week. I'm hoping you get this dress finished in time for the ball.
oh no! I hope you feel better soon. As it says in the vows, my spouse's cold is now mine, so I've been treating my sore throat with tea and honey. And lovely costube videos! Those always help :)
Glad you found new motivation to keep chipping away at this project! Your videos are good company while working on my own projects. I did my first piping project this summer. Nothing so ambitious as this; I did a line of corded piping around a skirt where the main fabric met the ruffle at the hem. It turned out quite nice and I'm planning to experiment with the effect on decorative sleeve cuffs, since the cord makes the shape flare out more. Bodice done! Sleeves are, unfortunately, one of the trickiest parts in dress making, so good luck with those.
I just barely started & looked at the comments and saw mention of Lion & I broke down. I'm so sorry. I don't even truly know you, but the pain of that loss is far to real & raw. Looks like I'm going to need the Kleenex to make it through. You have persevered through so much this year. You need to take time to rest & let you body, mind & soul heal from all you've experienced ❤️🩹
I hate that for you! My family had the flu over Thanksgiving, and online school doesn't follow holidays.. so I understand a lot of that push through. Hope you're feeling better!
I think if you don't feel good, you could repost an old video, maybe one of the educational ones, with some kind of quick explanation. BAM! Algorithm satisfied, audience content and understanding, and you can rest. Feel better, physically and emotionally! 💙💛💚💜
My heart breaks upon hearing the news of Lion. Between him and your precious Dora, please take your time to heal. Your mental and physical health are way more important than any video we will watch. We'll all be here when you're ready. Please...I'm begging, take the time you need. We'll be here while you're gone and when you're ready to return. Sending you all the hugs and support. Please, please, take care of yourself beautiful.
Respectfully: Screw the algorithm! I hope you feel better, and may you have the means to rest. (Because I realize "screw the algorithm" is not actionable advice for everyone, but I'm so sincere when I say a choice between health and income, you shouldn't have to make.)
Good to see you but 😢you are ill. I love this dress, I guess its the color. Most regency are done in pastels and this is just so dramatic. I'm sorry you're not loving it but it is beautiful. Maybe stepping away and coming back will help that. You take care of you. And I did love the pleated back.😌
youtube decided to translate the title for me into "Warum alles unnötig kompliziert machen? // Ein Mieder für ein Ballkleid im Regency-Stil anfertigen" which means "why make everything needlessly conplicated?// making stays for a regency style ballgown" which isnt even correct and completly misses the piping which is in the title once I changed the language of youtube to english
Hope you're feeling better soon! There us a lot of walking pneumonia going around ive heard. ❤️🩹 Ive been wearing a mask more when there are crowds and transit.

@@renjon7798came here to say this!!! OMG Rebecca ❤❤❤❤
It's looking really good, and I agree with leaving the skirt trim for next year. Please take care of your self! 💜

The piping is beautiful all of its own!
Loving the effect of the pink piping (even though it's pink which I'm not fond of), and I think you're right about going wider with the cutout .

Hope you are feeling better. Bodice looks great!❤
Wishing you back to good health as quickly as possible!
Looks lovely. Hope you're feeling better now ❤ I'm so sorry about lion, hope you're ok,he was a star. ❤❤

I wasn't sure if I would like the front of the dress but it looks good. The pink piping is great!
Feel better soon!🥹❤️

Rebecca,Perfect!!!!! You are hard on yourself but I understand why. Perfectionist all the way.
I was liking the slimmer strips on the bodice but you worked it out and it looks great.
Biggest hugs and condolences for Lion. As far as the dress...omg that bodice minimizes your bust quite a bit.
Beautiful
Your bodice is beautiful!

What a bummer about the back. You are 100% spot on that the stripes make it not work. But it’s a cool concept. Take care of yourself!

Realizing that i have a brother surger and a piping foot during this video was revolutionary
I really need to go to sle.....oh hang on....a vid from Rebecca!!!!! Sleep can wait....

Heh. It occurs to me that the front looks a little like a menorah.
Yeah, I mention that in next week's video.
Do take a rest lovely.
With piping, you probably could get away with 1/4 inch seam allowance, like quilters do.

Oh weird!
