Please producers, please... give us RODNEY for Bachelor!!! 🌹 The guy was even more charming, genuine, kind-hearted and good-natured on The Men Tell All than he was on the season. And Michelle did not fail to bring her signature poise and grace... One of my favorite moments of TMTA happened while the credits were rolling, when Rodney and Michelle hugged and hugged -- and revived their secret handshake. ♥️😭♥️

Them picking Clayton to be the next Bachelor sends a clear message that they want to go back to the old days of bachelor, no more black people making it past the first few episodes. The fact that Rodney, Brandon or Olu who had way more screen time and show presence were not picked AND the fact that they began filming Clayton's season before Michelle's season was over means they are DONE with black folks for a while. The most "color" we are going to get in the near future is probably Asian or Metzio aka white Latino.

I was listening to a podcast about the MTA, and someone said that it’s a sign that the producers don’t see Tayshia as a permanent host. I think she and Kaitlyn have been doing great! But since they decided to add this conversation in, it’s almost like they still see her as a character in their storyline (what the podcast said).
This was the most theatrical tell all I've ever seen....like everything felt scripted and weird. The only thing I could believe was the words coming out of Michelle's mouth, she was the only piece of realness I seen last night.
If this keeps up I'll have to say "rest in pizza" to the franchise

This tell all was so frustrating. This franchise has been riddled with people who want the drama and live off of being rude/“calling people out” for clout. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Peter but compromising his livelihood and trying to destroy his business’s credibility is so wrong. And then calling our his sister as well? Why even bring his family into it. It’s just odd because I thought this was supposed to be a “good group of guys” but no one could even hold a mature conversation
So tacky to expose the sister like that, that was humiliating. Casey as well, any attraction for him dropped like a dead fly every time he shouted at the top of his lungs.

I definitely think that started from Demi and that silly fight. Now people LOVE seeing people stand up for themselves which is not really standing up for themselves, it’s just messy. I liked Demi on her season, but though her clap backs on the women tell all were uncalled for. But since then I’ve seen a real difference in audience reaction to clap backs on the tells alls and what they like to produce and edit. She went from being produced as a villain to being LOVED and highly favoured.
I second your good group of guys comment. I feel like they did michelle dirty man. I mean she had some nice top 4’s and I guess that’s what counts but I feel like Katie (bless her mess, I didn’t enjoy her as the bachelorette but found the guys to be lovely) got genuinely great guys. 3 of them left of their own accord because they wanted more and felt like it wasn’t her and definitely wasn’t going to be on TV. Most of these guys wanted air time. Total mess.

I'm beginning to wonder if they had intended for the next bachelor to be from Katie's season but something fell through because they've already finished filming for the bachelor and it comes out in less than a month so they wouldn't have had time for the turn around with any of Michelle's final four and just barely managed to squeeze it in with Clayton right after he got eliminated? It just feels kind of rushed and like they randomly pulled him in right after he left Michelle's season which feels like it was unplanned and a last minute decision.

They do! :) It's a well known fact in reality tv world that crew is the one that hands out signs before you walk in, because they don't want you coming in with anything since they can't vet what's written on them. So it's their way of controlling the narrative and controlling which way they want support directed. The same team that's responsible for arts & crafts and set design on the actual show while it's airing, are the ones that make these signs for the live events.
Michelle has to be my favorite bachelorette of all time. She’s too good for this. Wish her nothing but happiness. I feel like we won’t get a lead as good as her for a loooong timez

This had to be the most satisfying Men Tell All ever. So much was addressed. If Chris S has anyone to apologize to though, it should be Nayte. His racist micro aggressions didnt get brought up. Aside from that, I didnt realize there were 5 villains this season (Ryan, Peter, Jamie, Chris, Martin). I really hope to never see martin on my screen again. He doesnt take any accountability and blames his misogyny on his inability to communicate rather than him being a misogynist.
It was also kind of weird that Rodney, Olu, and sort of Rick were given bachelor edits yet they are not gonna be the bachelor. It still baffles me how Rodney wasnt chosen.. 🤷♀️

I just don't understand why they chose to have Tayshia speak about her break up on Michelle's MTA because I found it unnecessary and disruptive of Rodney's spotlight. I mean, my heart goes out to Tayshia because I loved her and Zac being together. But I just feel like they shouldn't have asked her because it's so personal and it definitely was not the time and place to ask her that. She had to step out to get herself together. I just feel bad for seeing her having to deal with that on national tv and breaking down. :/

I feel like she should have picked Ben. I get what type of show this is but she fell too easily for words rather than actions. It sucked to see so many men manipulate her with quick "I love yous" I don't think Zac consciously manipulated her but I feel like how quick he started the in love talk is a red flag like I genuinely feel it sucks how the men who are actually being smart and not just saying things they dont feel for sure are a lot better choices than the ones who go all in asap. That whirlwind romance fizzles so quickly

I have never hated a program so much. It felt like we were in Panem watching the indulgent idiocy of wealthy, conceited people. Everything was so staged and inauthentic. I love Tayshia, but that was ridiculous. And SO many guys were auditioning for BIP with no shame.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like Michelle’s seasons doesn’t end well. 😔 When they promote her ending, and zoom in on her, she turns her head and looks upset…orrrrr she’s smiling really big and didn’t want anyone to see? But no, it felt like it was painful, and she was reliving a hurtful moment. I really hope I’m wrong, because this beautiful woman deserves the world. ❤️

i feel like this is the only MTA/WTA where no one sat in the "hot seat" while next to the lead. (am i remembering correctly?) it would've been nice if they'd showcased the positive conversations between michelle and rodney and michelle and rick in that way, instead of focusing so much on the drama amongst the petty men who really don't deserve screen time. :)

Since when did apologizing mean you were saying something was ok? That’s literally the opposite of what an apology is. An apology is saying “I’m sorry. I was wrong. I regret what I did. How can I make up for it?” I feel like so many people on these shows don’t know what a proper apology is or how to give one. Those kinds of people can be very draining to be around. Life becomes easier when you learn to apologize and try to change.

I've stopped watching The Bachelor since - I don't even know when. I skipped whole seasons. However, I still watch these recaps from time to time, and sometimes the actual women/men tell all regardless if I've seen the season or not. But why didn't they keep Tayshia or Kristen? It seems very odd to me that they had to replace Chris with another white man... after all that's happened. (Edit, no I am not saying all white men are the same, I am pointing out the fact Bachelor is performative and tone-deaf) edit: Kaitlyn! Omg no one could correct me?

@@countessofmontecristo3849 somewhat, yes. But no, if they addressed actual issues and kept on their OWN members nation and stopped doing superficial things with them. They had a black guy do the special with Matt, couldn’t they have kept him? Or better yet, how about the women? They chose Taysha and a Kaitlyn, why didn’t they stick with them?
That was the issue with a Matts season too. I remember posting who dis on Twitter and it went viral, when they announced it. I am someone who gets annoyed seeing the same people over and over again, so it somewhat felt refreshing but at the same time performant I’ve because they wanted someone they could control from the very beginning as their first black bachelor. Someone who didn’t know the ins and outs so they could produce them into oblivion. And someone who teetered on being black enough but reminds us, he’s not fully black every two seconds He got.
Chris doesn’t actually do anything. I don’t even think he produces. It would’ve been a great chance to ramp up this presenting role, with high energy characters, who’ve been through two of the processes. The show is over at this point.
Oh and I understand the replacement is someone from the show, but why recast after they’ve found two people the audience like? Let them grow into the role.
We just need to stop putting so much importance on race. It's the person that makes the good Bachelor/host, not the color/gender.
