There's a mod log trailer that's much easier to load. It might be called the logger trailer, I can't remember now. It has less of the uprights with a nice gap in the middle that makes loading much easier for me. Also there's a dip in the middle of the trailer so you could get forks under the logs if needed. Also the CSZ pack, big bag handler is nice for moving or loading logs. The straps get a little crazy sometimes but it's the easiest way for me to load them when clearing land for a field.

I can't use those huge front loaders properly. I just get the yarder to drag logs straight onto a trailer..... until it becomes slightly top heavy. Then game physics kick in 😂
I have been using containers for a while now and do you know if i put different types of trees in the container even though they are the correct size do i lose money if they are mixed types of trees and what about if they're not straight or dead? I wasn't sure if putting dead trees or mixed trees together in same container is the wrong way.
Dead trees you don't want to bother with at all. They have almost no profit. It can cost more to cut them up than you make. If anything, just chip it. It won't give you much, but it will get rid of them. If I remember right, mixing won't give you a penalty or anything, but it looks like you lost money sometimes just because of the different pricing for different trees, if that makes sense. If you keep them the same.it will be easier to know how much you make on each load if you need to predict.
Why no auto load log trailers for consoles yet I mean we been asking for it since the 22 version some of us want to make it a little faster they need to stop bs us and get us a dang trailer made
I think all of the auto load log trailers use scrpits, and those aren't allowed for console mods because of Sony and Microsoft. So I doubt we will get them unless giants were to make one.
@Logan-ly2qm it definitely takes practice. If you have platinum, the Volvo excavator with a claw may be an easier way to go. I have also found using a skid steer with the log fork to be fairly easy as well, you do have to use it 1 at a time, and if it's too heavy you will tip over... but if you grab the log like it's a claw and just drop it from the top, it is rather easy compared to some other options. Crane controls take getting used to, and the front loaders can be tricky with multiple logs. If you check out the silverrun series I have been doing, I do both the skidsteer and an excavator, I will have a episode out soon with one if the log crane trucks, and I do terrible with it since I am rather out of practice. There is also a mobile utilities mod where you can get a portable wood salepoint if you want to just sell it and not even have to transport it.
I use concrete barriers and a large tractor with a silage blade to push piles around. Still messing with the new features from the platinum DLC too. Rogue river is good harder map.
Yeah, starting equipment is not always the best. Remember, you can always use the chainsaw. It's gonna be a bit alower, but just use it in the trees that don't fit in the harvester. Or just leave those trees standing until you get a bigger one. Or just sell that one and buy one of the bigger ones. Take a loan if you need to. The loans really aren't a big deal in FS22.

I just set the time to real time and take my time. I ain’t rushing but this was a really helpful video
So I do this for a living fastest way is to put harvester by storage. Use harvester to stack an yarder to bring tree to you

Just bought FS22. Just started on Silvercreek. I've noticed. My wood has bigger girth than the starting package can handle.
