Hey Sim this map seems insane. I would also like to thank you for inspiring me to start making TH-cam videos. I have got a few timelapses ready but thank you so much for inspiring me to start making content.
Something i discovered today about those trees that are too big for the harvester head. if you cut them down with a chainsaw you can actually pick them up with the harvester around half way up the trunk. the harvester will then automatically roll the head all the way back to the base of the tree, disregarding the trunk diameter, so you can cut perfect lengths of wood with the harvester without having to eyeball it with the chainsaw or find a measuring stick.
Sim, I gotta say. This combo style of commentary and time-lapse, is the way. We get your thoughts and time-lapse through the parts that need it. I love it.
That trailer extends if I'm not mistaken. Love the videos, would definitely prefer 100% time-lapse of this series I love watching the progress you make per episode.
This might be a bit late, but the Rottne (sp?) takes the largest diameter logs that I've seen in the Platinum expansion. That Volvo vehicle was extraordinarily glitched out: if just one log isn't sitting right on it the whole lot of them start jiggling around like mad. I had one that had it's log load explode all over the place. I prefer any trailer with Timber Runner in it's name, or that looks like one, along with a semi truck to drive it around behind. Farming Simulator 22 is a pain in the butt to reverse with a dolly on a semi, when behind a tractor. Don't overload the trailers, this drastically increases your chances of the trailer falling over and being a pain in the butt to get back upright again. If you want to have some fun, get the Tajfun log winching attachment, buy 2 and you can winch a strapped up semi load to any sell point on the map. Attach one to an anchor point, and the other to a strapped down log on any trailer, and you can drag the whole load to anywhere within winching range. This helped me release some tension when that semi load fell over, before I decided on a restart of the map. You are correct in going for the 6m logs, most videos on Farming Simulator 22 all show the same log length as being the best to sell. This might seem like a lot of work but if you cut logs to 6m - or any other length - stack them all by weight on them if they're all from the same species of tree. Selling up to 9 logs from the first cut of the longest trees you can get to yields a very high profit even on "Farm Manager" mode. Note that this mode will give you less money for logs, as would Hard mode. Hard mode just gives you 500k and a 200k debt, pay off the debt and work with about 300k in the bank. Prices may be even lower than on the other two modes.
You did a much better job than I did on the first episode. I have virtually no forestry experience as I've just never been interested before. I'm glad I'm not the only one that has trouble with the loaders. Great job, enjoyable watch. Blessings.
He's an master on that. Hundreds of hours spent in Grizzly Mountain, Willamina Forest and Crater Lake doing forestry. Not to mention NML twice, in 19 and 22.
Really like the format of this series👌🏻 Was worried that there would only be livestreams of this map after watching your map tour. I’m glad that I got it wrong😂 Also I wish that there was one of the older Volvo BMs with a frontloader, a dream of mine in real life is to one day own a Volvo BM with a frontloader but they are super expensive here in Sweden😅
I just wanted to let you know just how much I like this type of hybrid video, the normal bit and then the bit of timelaps, I think it's awesome and a bit of a change of pace in the videos instead of the constant timelaps ones. I really like these one and maybe I prefer it also it's so relaxing and nice too listen too you're voice. 😁
I knew you'd try this map as soon as I saw this dlc haha. I honestly would forsake realism and use a super strength mod to load the first log trailer instead of using its own crane arm. Then seeing how slow it was, yeah, not worth keeping
Hii. I saw you can extend that trailer :). Would be helpfull for longer loggs. Also really excited for this series. This map and the new equipment in this expension looks really exciting
The tree harvester will cut some that says to big. You have to raise the head uo the tree until the circle turns green than come back down to the ground.
4:10 - 5:54 10:55 - 12:03 (dvine - Vast island) I've been waiting for a long time, finally you use this song again, this song reminds me of fs19 you played before..
I am also trying to use only the dlc stuff on this map. It's making me re think how I do tree. I'm using the feller bunched to line the trees up, the winch to bring the trees to my processing spot. Then I process the trees into neat piles and load them. I'm trying the containers a bit as well. Seems like they are useful before you get productions.
just stumbled across your content today #7 on this map so i had to go back to the start. i dont know how i have not seen your videos before. i look foward to watching. love this content subscribed now!
I absolutely love this style of videos especially from you keep it up and I'll keep watching. Do you have plans to use any FDR machines on this savegame?
If u find the trunk is to big at the bottom. U can attach the head higher up the trunk and as long as u stay attached. U can bring it back down to the bottom and cut as normal
That first area you cleared I built a lil farm hub for all my equipment I put 3 buildings in that area for storage for vehicles but I can’t seem to level out the ground that good I have it somewhat but I can’t get it to level out properly
Love your videos! How do you record what you are doing but not in your POV? Kind of like a directors camera view. I saw the same thing in Western Wilds and it’s been boggling me, hah

Was getting ready to comment the same thing. Just discovered this the other night.
Love the combination of timelapse and commentary. Works really well.

The video with the timelapse is of course good, but with your comments it is much better to watch.
I feel like this map was made for you! Also really looking forward to hearing you narrate a bit during this play through.
That trailer extends if I'm not mistaken. Love the videos, would definitely prefer 100% time-lapse of this series I love watching the progress you make per episode.
I was thinking the same exact thing

Similar to what Daggerwin does. I don't mind these types of videos either.
Excellent video sim, that log trailer extends a bit more to make it longer
Ahh, I never even thought to check that lol
@@SimFarmer it's mouse controlled I think, well it is on the version with the crane on it

you can make the trailer a bit longer, 6m logs fit perfectly if you do that
Great episode I started off in start from scratch wanted a slower pace play through absolutely loving this dlc
ı love this mix edition keep it like this
Hii. I saw you can extend that trailer :). Would be helpfull for longer loggs. Also really excited for this series. This map and the new equipment in this expension looks really exciting
Love that new style with commentary in between!

Nice to hear you talk. But its nice. Just do it easy. And don't use things that not looks it belongs with the map

This is going to be a great series
I absolutely love this style of videos especially from you keep it up and I'll keep watching. Do you have plans to use any FDR machines on this savegame?
Not to start with, but I will see how it goes using what's included with the DLC
I really like this type of videos sim
Hey sim I can see this series doing good because that map is so big and knowing how good you are at the game I’m pretty sure you will do good
A VOICE ITS AMAZING
Sim really like the format
of the vid thanks for your effort.

let me tell you i was stunned to hear your voice, but I also like this style of video from you.
I would love to see map reviews from you and maybe tell us some good spots to build a farm
Very nice
Great stuff!
Are you playing on easy, normal or hard economy?
Verry nice to see sim working on thise map
I love your job
Been hoping for this map from you
I do hope the lumberjack mod finally makes it to consoles
Love this new style video
Awesome video! I love the new DLC!😁
Love the style of this vid enjoyable to watch
No way. I finally hear him speak!
Luv your content mate, keep it up
Thank you!!
Nice to see you starting out on this map, but what happended to Bear Mountain Time-lapse series?
keep going man !!! I love your videos ❤️
nice one!!!
Thanks for the video, helps a lot!
Great video. What's happened to Calmsden Farm?
The forestry trailer extends
Best part of these is the lack of jump cuts love it
Wow I got here quick
Love your videos! How do you record what you are doing but not in your POV? Kind of like a directors camera view. I saw the same thing in Western Wilds and it’s been boggling me, hah
It's done on a multiplayer game on two PCs, one for recording while I do the work on the other
@@SimFarmer Ah, that’s what I figured! Thanks!
loved this stile of video!!!!
I am sure you know by now but that log trailer does stretch out
I'll try this soon myself, but can u chip the deadwood and compost it? Then it's worth a fortune!
You don't get many woodchips from them
Deadwood is best used for firewood production
I upgraded my equipment right away it’s worth it
Nice!
How did you get the red and white signs on the back to disappear?
Great video ! Can you please tell me which mod did you use for the static camera?
It's not a mod. It's done on multiplayer
@@SimFarmer I must say.....it makes excellent viewing 👌
You could have cut the logs into smaller pieces and put them into the yellow thing by hand and then put the claw over the logs so the don’t fall out
I could have, but I would have earned far less money that way
What mods did you use i like them
I did the same , sold the Volvo and bought a tractor with front loader. The Volvo is far off practical .
i couldn't find the animal dealer ....doesnt exist on this map?
Anyone know if the doc transfers from xbox one to series x?
love ur vids
Where can I find the lumber jack mod I think I heard you say lumberjack mod
@@Redstrikefishing try Google search
hello, what are the mods to use? the numbers you see around the counter? thank you
Enhanced vehicle control mod
@@SimFarmer thank 😊

That log picking up was something horrendous.... please get better gear for it soon.
