Enjoyed your review once again Take. I recently picked up the M11 Black Paint with the 28 Elmarit and 50 Lux and the Q3-43. Traded my SL3 and zooms. My neck and back thanks me and I love these new cameras. Always enjoy your stuff.
    Cheers

@@mjcatto wow congrats on the new kit. SL3 is amazing, but size and weight is definitely a consideration. M11 BP with 28mm and 50mm and you’re set. Q3 43 is just icing on the cake :-)

To me, the M10-R sensor is truly special and my favorite in the digital Leica era. Its unique way of interacting with light is mesmerizing, whether Front light or Back light. It handles every scenes perfectly to my taste, making it my lifetime Leica.

Ya I really like mine. Immediately noticed a difference when the M11 was launched. Way better in low light at higher ISO of course, but in daylight, I prefer M10-R. Plus 40MP is the perfect resolution.

You missed the M10 IG the last non Sony Made Sensor, the last truly Taylor made for Leica Sensor. For that reason alone that’s MY forever Digital Leica.

@@RacerMunky I had a skewed perspective about the "Sony sensor" in the Leica M10-R. However, after using the 40MP Sony A7R IV for four months while owning the M10-R at the same time, I realized how vastly different the results are. Despite both cameras having a similar 40MP sensor, the images they produce differ significantly in feel, emotion, and texture. This could be attributed to Leica's unique color science and image processing.

I have an M11 and Leica individualized it to Santorini leather. Love it.

Oh wow, that’s nice. You had it done at Wetzlar? How long did it take?

I sent it to the NJ service center. It took 5 weeks to get it done, and it costed around $300 including round trip shipping.

An upgrade for the M11-P that doesn’t get often mentioned, but it is a nice upgrade, Is the sapphire crystal rear screen.

@@bigheadtaco For me M11-D Glossy Reporter (With Brass body) would be a grail.

CAN$ M11, Glossy Black Paint is 12,780.00. M11-D is 13,345.00. M11-P Black (or Silver) is 12,925.00. M11 Monochrom is 13,100.00. I would pay extra for the M11-P, more memory, better rear glass. But I do love my M10-R and will be holding onto it for a while yet…. Maybe M12-P ???

@@GamachePhoto the technical improvements are minimal for all modern Leicas. M10-R is the best. 👍🏻

M10-R is the best value proposition right now. USB-C charging the only thing I would really want on the M11.

Brassing/aging makes sense with cameras that do not lose value or get replaced after few years (digital bodies). Thus I am very happy with the more durable coating with digital M11 since it will be repaced in 3-4 years probably. Film bodies will stay longer withe the user and here, glossy black/brassing makes more sense.

I have m6 and m10-r, I thought no more cameras, but now I’m selling all my Sony gears and save some money to buy a M11 glossy paint special edition 🤫

Had a m-p typ 240, went to m10p. 3 months later went back to m-p typ 240. It’s a great camera. For me the m11 doesn’t really produce the look I like. I like nuanced images, the m11 just doesn’t do it for me. I also have an m10m which is my daily driver. That too is basically perfect.

Hahahaa - save yourself a divorce and a kidney and buy yourself a more desirable, reliable buy and forget, Classic Camera like the Fujifilm X100V and stop Deluding yourself, and waiting 6 Months for a £2000 service (I know, I’ve done it) …that’s if you can find a Fuji that is…😎😎
