An excellent introduction for anyone considering this most magnificent challenge of mind, body and spirit. Not everyone will be able to do it all in one go, due to work, family or financial commitments. However, if you can find the time to do the whole route then you will have a better chance of experiencing a more transformative experience. Obviously, people do pilgrimage walks in a couple of weeks and that can give them a great boost in their life. If you have something in your life, such as grief or illness, then the more time spent on the Camino the more space you'll find in your mind and hear to open up and release the pain inside. It can be so hard, almost impossible, to do this in our daily lives. But in the open spaces and receptive souls you'll meet, you'll get the chance not only to express your own story but also listen to the stories of others. You have made such a poignant video that really shows the sincerity of such a pilgrimage. It is also a lot of fun, you'll meet many people from many parts of the world and from all walks of laugh. You'll suffer physical aches and pains, lack of sleep and the occasional challenges that such a journey inevitably will throw up. This is all part of the process of stripping away our outer layer which we normally show to the world. Bit by bit, step by step, village by village, star by star (as the route almost mirrors the path of the Milky Way above), the layers get peeled away until at various points along the Camino you'll experience something truly amazing. Be prepared for not only a physical rollercoaster, but also a mental and emotional one. This is to open up our hearts and reveal more of the true nature of ourselves so that we may try and live more meaningful lives. This is just my opinion based on how it affected me. People have different experiences on the Camino, but there is a lot we share in common too. Buen Camino
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! It is a tremendous experience if you open your heart and mind. I truly hope I can return one day soon.
I want to walk the Camino solo in April 2022 but my wife refuses to let me go alone lol I am watching your vlogs for research. Thank you for your videos!!
I understand the concern, but am glad I took the leap. I would do it a hundred times over. I hope you are able to make your Camino soon. Until then, be well and Buen Camino!
Hi Rachelle, I stopped by here from your other channel and just wanted to wish you luck on your journey. I lost my dad unexpectedly last November and can certainly understand the impact that losing your father had on you and I think it's great that you are honoring him this way. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
Thank you!! I intend to do just that. I have 45 days and want to savor the journey (and avoid injury, lol!!). Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! 😊👣
Hi Rachelle, I just wanted to tell you I really appreciate your videos as I plan my camino for next May/June. I will be hiking alone and same as you in hopes of deepening my faith and also in honor of my dad who also passed away from cancer 3 years ago. I really hope you enjoyed your time on the camino :)
My wife and I will be following your Camino. We are planning our Camino for September 2020. Like you we have followed others Camino’s and have found them informative. All the best on your journey. Buena Camino.
This video. Truly hairs on my neck stood up. I am so proud and lightheartedly so very happy for your journey! An exceptional and amazing journey to say the least. What you are doing is a book on it’s own, not a chapter. Wishing you nothing but the very best of what’s to come. Praying for your each and every step Rachelle! Cheering you on wholeheartedly and in spirit! Woohoo! You got this! ❤️🙏🏼😘🎉 *million hugs*

I love the fact that this is so informative, historically, spiritually, contextually and even geographically. You personal reasons for your Camino struck a bell with me particularly, I will arrive in Santiago on ( or very close to) the 5th anniversary of my wifes passing (cancer as well). I truly enjoyed this vlog Rachelle, your soul is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. (Paul Finney on the facebook group).

Rachelle - You will be walking solo, but never alone. You will get there, and find/strengthen what you are looking for: faith, reflection, and honoring your father. Seek and you will find. Buen Camino, and Ultreia!
Hola! I’ve watched ALL your Camino videos and I know there’s one where you talk about the app you use for making the videos. I’ve gone through a bunch of your videos again trying to find the one I’m looking for but I can’t find it lol so I figure I’d just ask lol What app did you use to make these vids?
Thank you so much for following along! I use LumaFusion to edit all my videos in-phone. Still using it two years later! Thank you, again, and Buen Camino!! 👣
Rachel, I just finished the Camino French rout. If you have questions, or are interested in my story, please feel free to contact me. I too walked in honor of a family member who is in heaven now. I was/am an old man, was out of shape, with some other health issues, and have my own reasons for doing the camino. Im hooked. I'll be going back in 2020. Sooner if I can get my wife to agree. I went alone the first time and highly recommend pilgrims go alone. There is a solitude of being alone that is irreplaceable. Sounds like you have a good handle on your planning. Id love to share stories with you. Please feel free to contact me via PM if you wish. Good luck and BUEN CAMINO!!!!!!!
Congratulations on completing your Camino!! How exciting! And thank you so much for your comment. I look forward to sharing my journey and will certainly reach out if I have any questions. Good luck next year and Buen Camino!!
