The long awaited finale was absolutely worth it, we cried with you tonight as we watched you and my wife can feel your pain, (her feet still haven’t healed) she completed a “virtual Camino” Tshirt included, walking the full 700 odd KMs and watching your channel in sync with you everyday! We looked forward to seeing what we would have seen after completing the walk each day through your eyes, obviously nothing compared to the real thing but the lockdown in Melbourne Australia was severe so gave us an outlet and your excellent videos helped us get immersed in your world for a while! Thank you again!

I was fortunate enough to have lived in Santiago. Seeing my old neighborhood and the cathedral always brings me tears in my eyes. Santiago is beautiful especially in the rain.

What we really liked was that you showed a bit of everything - scenery, churches, restaurants, towns, food, the inside of albergues, even the bathrooms. Helen Richards died young, may she rest in peace (2:34) That pilgrim (3:16-3:19) sounded like he was arguing with someone, probably his wife ("Can you stop giving me walking talking lessons from 10,000 kilometers away") 😄 Gives us an insight into what some pilgrims have to contend with from people back home, apart from the fact that his annoyed voice intrudes into the Camino bubble of other pilgrims. He should have just turned off his phone. When you started crying (5:02-5:20) I cried too😢 That reunion with your friends rocks, a great welcome to Santiago (6:04-6:33) YOU DID IT RACHELLE! WITH GOD'S GRACE! CONGRATS AND GOD BLESS! (7:32) I feel kinda sad it has ended. Maybe we'll meet each other one day on the Camino but until then thank you very much for this great virtual Camino (applause emoji) Stay healthy and safe. God bless!

@@IllGetThere A strange thing happened yesterday after my wife and I finished watching your last video.
We had previously agreed that when you wore your blue buff on your head you looked like Vermeer's Girl With A Pearl Earring. We watched your last video on the TV. Immediately after watching you we randomly turned to a different channel and there was the beginning of a documentary about the Girl With A Pearl Earring.
The timing was perfect.
My wife wants you to know that she was crying along with you when you arrived at the Santiago cathedral square.
I remember how emotional I felt when I arrived. Pandemic permitting, I should be repeating the experience later this year, this time from Seville.

Congratulations! I had a nice day for my entrance in front of the Cathedral. Very emotional. Then I walked to Fisterra via Muxia, a TOTALLY different walk & atmosphere! Were you tempted? Maybe the next time?
Thank you so much! I planned the time to walk to both Finisterre and Muxía, but decided that Santiago was the proper place for me to stop walking once I arrived. I will definitely walk both routes in the future!

I did go on to Finisterre and Muxía, but took the bus, as I felt my pilgrimage ended properly at the cathedral. One day I will make the walk, as it sounded beautiful! 😊👣
Rachelle: I noticed you are carrying hiking poles. Would you recommend using them for someone starting in Leon? Thank you your amazing video. I am looking forward to a ‘lessons learned’ video in the future. God bless you!

I would absolutely recommend poles for everyone-they are great for inclines and descents and even on flat terrain to keep your hands from swelling, and to steady you in the mud or on a rainy day. They are very useful! Still working on a follow up, but I will be sure to do one in the coming weeks. God bless you and Buen Camino! 👣
