Yup. I've seen videos with squirrels and other animals, who just couldn't make it in the wild after their rescuers tried to release them. That bird is where it's supposed to be.
I just read that a pet sparrow can live 12 to 14 years and I was expecting a much shorter life span. I'm so happy these three will have the joy of being together for a long time.
animals generally live much longer in captivity then in the wild, as living in captivity is so much easier. they get food, they get shelter, and if they get hurt, they will even get medical care

Not wild skills or instincts whatsoever. I am glad trying to free her failed, she would not have made it out there for long. What a loving, delightful couple.
so true. even if she did find other sparrows to be with she would still not understand the warning signals that birds give out when a dangerous animal is close by, so ye she would not have survived xD
Isn't this exactly the same in the wild ? The mother feeds the babies, then at a certain point when she can't keep up, she stops visiting the nest at all, forcing the baby bird to fly on their way
There are many benefits to having children who interact with animals as well as adults. For example, by taking care of pets, which are fragile, irreplaceable creatures and taking care of them, making it easier for them to grow Compassionate and warm hearted. Also, by observing changes in a pet that cannot talk on a daily basis, you can feel the effect of being gentle and sensitive to people's feelings. Both of these effects are created over a long period of time, not only by temporary contact, but also by the relaxing effect of being together. Even if you cannot live as a pet, it is a good idea to interact with the animals from time to time and support the animal channels🐈🐈😽🙏

I think children that want a pet should be given a plant of their choice. Whether it's an incredibly simple spider plant or a full on jalapeno plant. If they can keep that plant alive for about a year, maybe they can handle a small pet.

Yeah I don't get what surprises people, can be a bird, lizard, gorilla or a lion, doesn't matter, the wild sucks, they want to be in a home and be fed just like people do. The only animals I can think of that would prefer the wild over (good) captivity are dolphins/whales. I have Iguanas and Tegus and they like to go outside in the sun for maybe 30-60 mins, then they scratch at the door to be let back inside.
Ultimately, an animal has far more freedom and fulfillment in the wild. @@s.e.e455 Thing is they don't have the instincts and sparrows are flock animals, so Iris wouldn't recognize when to fly away with the others or the calls when they find food
Something Ive learned from raising house sparrows myself over the years Is that even after learning how to fly and fledging, they still rely on you for shelter and food for a short period of time. They will leave shortly and then return. Eventually leaving longer and longer until one day they decide they’re ready and leave forever. It’s a bittersweet moment. Seeing such a tiny thing completely depending on you, growing into this independent adult who learns how to feed themselves and one day flies away. :’)
Just wondering..how do you know they didn't stop returning because something happened to them because they lacked survival instincts due to being raised by humans rather than they chose not to come back home?
@@bighairtsunami If it's not ideal then why do you say the family in the video did it wrong? Sounds like they did it right. They took on the full long-term responsibility of caring for the bird.
I’ve never had a pet bird, but through interaction with pigeons and crows, I’ve noticed they’re very much like dogs in character. I know it sounds daft... But they’re attentive and quick learners. They Love to be talked to in soothing tones and they’re playful - I love them. Costs a fortune in peanuts though. Daren’t enter the forest without at least three bags because crows never, ever forget a face.
“Our nest is full again.” That just made me so happy for them. Iris came at the perfect time; I wouldn’t be surprised if their kids had moved out recently and they were suffering from having an “empty nest.” Then Iris came along! ❤️

This is another wonderful story of love, patience, perseverance and to never give up. It is amazing what this great couple did to save this baby sparrow. I knew that Iris wasn't not going to depart. This video brings back many memories : we found a black bird fallen from her nest and couldn't find the parents. I took care of her during a month. She finally flew away, beautiful as she was, as we managed to get her used to wild life, step by step. We had a special bond together and I miss her a lot. But I am happy that she is in the nature now, happy and free :). Thank you for this lovely video :).
It does not matter how big or how tiny a creature is, they all deserve a chance at life. This tiny little bundle of joy came 💖 into this lady and gentleman's life as if by fate. To see little Iris grow and thrive is a joy to watch. There are many people who may say "how can a creature 💘 "or do they feel at all "? I am not a person who subscribes to those things. You only have to watch this beautiful little clip to see this. Iris knew that she had been helped by her two humans. Iris obviously felt safe and she did not wish to leave them. Once again we have two earth angels helping 💜 a little soul ❤ to thrive.

This is the most uplifting and wonderful video I have seen !!!!!! Thank you so much for raising her. You are extremely intelligent for realizing that the little, purple, helpless blob was just as important as any other living thing. This is a one-in-a-million pet. She has abnormal personality for a bird, and is human-like with her spunky and clever activities. Birds normally do not show affection, and for a wild bird to adopt you is beyond rare. Wow, what a perfect match. She gets you and you get a charming family member. Couldn't be better !!!
Oh my God I just don’t think it can get any more precious than this! Iris is adorable! She clearly has chosen you to b her family. Thank you for saving and loving this precious little creature!❤️❤️❤️❤️
So far, anyway! There may come a day when her natural instincts lead her elsewhere... she's already trying to build a nest, so is readying for raising her own little family. I hope she gets that opportunity someday, wherever her brood is nurtured.

Seeing such a tiny thing completely depending on you, growing into this independent adult who learns how to feed themselves and one day flies away. :’)
@@Barny-26 natural instinct
Just wondering..how do you know they didn't stop returning because something happened to them because they lacked survival instincts due to being raised by humans rather than they chose not to come back home?
Hi how are you
i have cute cat to
Yes you can't just put a bird outside and say fly away. Wild birds parents teach them how to survive just like we do to our kids.
@@bighairtsunami If it's not ideal then why do you say the family in the video did it wrong? Sounds like they did it right. They took on the full long-term responsibility of caring for the bird.
They seem like a couple in their 20's with a new baby so sweet.
They did a wonderful job for caring for the baby bird. Pets are so lovely, cute and such an adorable😍💓. Do you have any pets?
Hello Jenny......
When she refused to leave, that really made me sad, but happy as well that she has such loving caretakers.
“Our nest is full again.”
That just made me so happy for them. Iris came at the perfect time; I wouldn’t be surprised if their kids had moved out recently and they were suffering from having an “empty nest.”
Then Iris came along! ❤️
No comments?
But didnt they that they were Patents for the First time Witz Iris ? So they dont have children i guess.
Ohh this lady's voice is just the SWEETEST! Her laugh and shrieks make me smile.
Animals are priceless and bring so much joy. This story makes so many people's day, including mine, especially!
This is so beautiful..Yes Little Iris is now a domesticated bird and cannot be safe out in the wild from predictors..That's so difficult to feed such a small fledgling and have her survive..Julie and John.... You make this World a way better Place! Iris is a bird 🐦😇 angel. I think this bird rescued You more than you rescued her 😁. Awesome.
With all of damn cats out there she will never be safe
@@goblincomic4522 I love my babies but they’re indoor only and it is for the best for them and other animals.
@@Danny-be1ex Yeah. Cats a very big problem in Australia. They kill over 1 billion native animals to Australia every year....
Iris: " Mommy, daddy. Its rough being wild. I'm not going back. You can't make me."
Couple: "Cmon, you gotta move out someday....the rent is getting higher!"
You should be a scriptwriter for TV drama shows! That was gripping stuff! 🐦

That bird is living it's best life. That couple is living their best life. See it all worked out for both. Great vid.
Not sure he/she is living her best life. But that's at least a life.
This sweet couple is just as adorable as Iris! 😍
The fact that they did try to release her proves that she's just happier with this lovely pair taken care of her. God bless this non-traditional family ❤️
or the fact that they kidnapped this young bird out of its nest.
@@straenmusikant7402 It would have probably died if they didn’t take it, plus they didn’t kidnap it. They saved it
@@straenmusikant7402 there was a storm, the bird had fallen out of its nest. Did you even watch the video you dolt?
@@straenmusikant7402 It would have died in the wild. Baby birds are very dependant on their parents and when they found it it was blind, couldn't fly, had a bad sense of direction, it would be a death sentence to leave it out there. It's not kidnapping because they eventually tried to release her, but she was already so attached to them.
@@hothkinstroy8602 this is a fledgling, their parents are only out for food. stop taking fledglings out of their nests you borderline kidnappers
It’s amazing how much will the little tike has for survival and having special people like you two for rearing her. It must be so satisfying to accomplish something like that. Well done guys ❤️.
This is another wonderful story of love, patience, perseverance and to never give up. It is amazing what this great couple did to save this baby sparrow. I knew that Iris wasn't not going to depart. She sees them as her parents. They raise her and took care of her. Animals and people can bond. This is the perfect example of that relationship!
I was very pleased when they decided to keep her. Iris had clearly chosen to live with them and they all look very happy with that decision.
Hello Gillian......
YES, animals brings us SO MUCH JOY. Beautiful story of compassionate couple who took care of Iris!
I absolutely love this story. She truly loves y’all and you are her parents. You did a great job saving and raising that sweet baby.
Oh my God, that is the sweetest thing. These guys are such lovely people and Iris was so lucky to be found by them. Lovely.
It feels so good to know that there are still such kind hearted people in this world . My faith in humanity restored ..... I would love to be surrounded with people like them forever ❣️
i wish I could save someone like that one day, a bird, an animal, an insect, I don't care whatever! It must be such a great feeling!! I adore these videos, they fill me with joy and hope!!
Go vegan then.
I also rescued a sparrow
Yeah....me too

After a storm it's a good time to find little animals in need, js. That's how i find a baby squirrel that stayed too with us.
It was such a joy to watch this!! I see 3 wonderful birds chirping and living happily together
You both did an amazing job saving her.She is adorable.
What a nice start to my day! I can't believe she survived. Way to go! 💜
Hello Lau Rie......
Most adorable and gentle parents ever! That's why Iris didn't leave like how other sparrows would.
Sparrows are such special birds. In general, once they are raise by humans; it is quite difficult for them to leave their " human parents".🇧🇷
Yes btw your 4 secs ago!
I don’t think Iris could have found a better home anywhere. ❤

So who else enjoyed the 'parents' more than the bird? They acted like children having a new puppy! Wonderful.
They were so proud of their Iris! 🥰
The parents are such good wholesome people, I love them!

There's no better place than home and a loving family. The wild doesn't always provide that.
This story is so freaking cute! The people did the right thing by saving her and then trying to make her wild again. Iris wasn't having it, she is now a house-bird,. but she still looks pretty free and happy.
This story makes me happy😁these people makes great loving parents, Iris is a lucky girl❤️~
And they are a lucky pair that she ever came into their lives & still chooses to stay with them, for however long that may be.
The pure joy, happiness and love that those two have with and for Iris is beautiful. Another example proving that we are all just souls wrapped up in different packages.🥰🥰🥰🥰
Isn't it great when you both, as a couple, enjoy parenthood in such a special way? Helping a bird spread its wings and feel a similar sensation in your hearts as well? To me, birds are the most heart uplifting creatures on planet Earth, with their birdsong.
WHEN SHE SAID...GO BE FREE, IRIS..... I GOT TEARY EYED❤

Amazing how a little sparrow like Iris can bring such happiness and joy into a home!
Iris was too smart to fly away from a house so full of Love and Joy for her. She loves her human parents who saved her life and adore her. May Iris and her human parents live a long, happy and healthy life together.❤❤❤
Such a Beautiful story. This makes me Happy
What a precious thing. Thanks for rescuing her. 💕💕💕
Darling Iris made the choice to stay w/them. So sweet.
So far, anyway! There may come a day when her natural instincts lead her elsewhere... she's already trying to build a nest, so is readying for raising her own little family. I hope she gets that opportunity someday, wherever her brood is nurtured.
Little Iris has a big personality! She's so adorable.
I love that they're only thinking of Iris and her happiness, no matter what that looks like ❤❤❤ Beautiful people ❤
