The fact that they all go "Oh no" when being chased down really hammers it in that these birds can just, be treated like toddlers because they act like them. It's adorable!!
Having a bird, especially a large parrot or cocatoo, is EXACTLY like having a toddler. They need just as much attention and interaction like a five year old.
Kindred spirit, it's a real thing, It's odd because I find it less in humans than I do animal, almost all animals interact with me on a more trusting level, but Humans, not so much, it's like the Earth is rejecting us, save for a few, I suspect, and I'm putting it on record now for scholars in a thousand years to analyze, that we are on the cusp of another split in evolution, one segment is fully regressive(prone to violence, reactionary, self destructive) and the other is semi-regressive(they appear to hold on to their intelligence and resemble civility, but still have a desire to reconnect with the Earth and to nurture it and it's inhabitants whilst still maintaining it's own non-extinction, one will regress entirely and the other has a pretty good chance to revolve into a better version of us, but only if they take a formidable stance, we shall see more anomalies in the near future pertaining to this.
My friend has one the macaws that mate for life, that's older than him and massive. Her owner couldnt take care of her as he was becoming elderly and sickly, so my friend was already close to the bird and offered to take her in. She is 100% convinced he is her husband, and attacks anyone that tries to touch him lol she really treats him like he is her soul mate and its beautiful
@@onlyme219 Probably so, but I have found people are either born with love and compassion in their hearts or they are not. I have a son and 3 grandsons who were just born that way. Neither of the 2 mother's were!
Knowing how loud cockatoos are when they're having fun and being social, its nice when families understand that and make lots of noise during playtime.
If this bird is this funny on a video, I can only imagine how hilarious she is in person. The part where she was chasing the guys making that villainous laugh was awesome.
I used to have a roommate that had a Yellow Umbrella Cockatoo, like Molly. My roommate said when she got Holly, as a baby, she wanted a pet that would live a long, long time. She was told by the bird expert that they live to 70 years if taken care of, so, the way Molly is loved and treated like family, even gets to go on outdoor activities with the family, she is bound to make it to above 70 years!
This bird is hilarious. That laugh and the way she taps on doors is just too funny. It's wonderful to see the whole family playing and laughing together.
She reminds me so much of our cockatoo Sally, whom we adopted when she was already around 65 years old. Poor girl had arthritis in her claws, so she couldn't chase us around like that, but we were always talking back and forth and cuddling with her. What a good girl, RIP Sally.
What a wonderful thing. A bond between a young man and a bird. Things such as this shows us that all living things need and look for love. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Pretty sure that's a sulphur crested cockatoo, the most common we see in Sydney Australia. They mate with one partner for life, they can live up to 80 years, if the female of the pair dies the male birds take more risks, swopping between trucks and cars and pulling bits of people's parked cars and houses. I once watched a flock land on the neighbours house for six months every afternoon and pull apart a stainless steel solar water heater.
You son is a wonderful young man! You raised him right, when animals trust you, that is all you need to know that person is a great person and has a wonderful soul. Molly is a STITCH!!! I would have so much fun with her, anyone would, she is just pure joy! Thank you for posting this most uplifting video! We all need a good laugh especially in today's world, and this video did it for me!
Nancy Bernard • My uncle's wife (whom I hated) told me when dating or considering marriage, watch how he treats animals and children, because that is how he will treat you and your kids. Very true. I made a big mistake once; but animals and little kids seek my current husband (32 years) out to play now. Wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and animal lover. ♥️ This boy will be a catch when he grows up😀
Like Molly, I had one who was sadly blinded while Stevie was in his egg. Someone sprayed pesticide around the area in pet shop. At 1st, Stevie didn't trust anyone in the family, but he grew to trust the family. Stevie had a laugh similar to Molly's. He lived a long age....always have memories of him.
I hope she gets to live with your family her whole life from generation to generation because they can live for a very long time. And she hit the jackpot as far as a bird loving family. Bless her and your family both!
When a bird picks you it’s an incredible feeling. I volunteer at a bird sanctuary and I instantly bonded with one of the birds she would come to me even if someone else took her out of her cage. It was very bittersweet when she got adopted. That little bird changed my whole life and I’ll always treasure the time I had with her.
As a kid we had a budgie that we played hide and seek with. Once he found us, it was a race to see who got to his cage first. Then start all over again. Loved that bird!
My cockatiel loved hide and seek too! She would hide usually instead of seek. Her favorite spot was on top of the curtains. She'd hide below the ruffle, but didn't know her crest was sticking up! Lol! I pretended I couldn't see her and made a big production of checking all the hiding spots. She would laugh to herself while I 'looked' and peek out, then duck down again. After a few minutes I'd find her and she'd get so excited she'd tap her little feet. If I hid, she would get soooo mad if she couldn't find me! I had to keep peeking out so she'd catch me, but she loved the game that way too. She also loved playing Barbies. She'd brush their hair with her beak and fluff the big ballgowns with her beak too. She had a strong preference for dressing them in ballgowns, the bigger the better! Then she would ride in the Barbievette car when the dolls went somewhere. She was such a good bird!
She made me laugh so much, just what the Doctor ordered this afternoon 🤣🤣 What a wonderful bird she is and it is sweet to see the bond that she has with your son. Thank you for sharing her with us 😁👍🏻
