Always have like 1st generation USA Scirocco ... The Corrado was also another great Volkswagen with look of original Scirocco. Test drove a new Corrado in early 1990's, much like it ... Good luck with the 1982 Scirocco - should be a fun car to have/drive ! Slainte' ! Cheers !
Holes or no holes both bumpers need binned replaced with some european bumpers like the car was meant to have. Its looks more like a vw bubba gump than a scirocco. Looking forward to seeing you progress
Awesome find! Probably a 1.8, I see many of the same features that my 84 Rabbit Wolfsburg had. AC, power steering, 4 speed manual with overdrive.. You're gonna love it!
VW Scirocco -- the start of the Rabbit and GTI... and the beginning of the "Hot Hatch." Awesome! Sorry... that Scirocco deserves a full restoration... it's blasphemy NOT to go all the way with it!
One of my friends still has his 84. It's on it's 3rd or 4th engine, and at least 7th or 8th clutch. Last time I spoke to him it had over 600k miles. If you are ever around St. Louis MO, his is Silver, with the louvers over the back hatch and the extended spoiler.
'82.....early Mk2 Scirocco...I've got love for Scirocco's...but the Mk2's don't do it for me as much as the Mk1's....I grew up with an '80 Scirocco S..came home from the hospital in '81 in it....the "Giugiaro" Scirocco's are the best but rusted out way too fast...
Hard to find those now. The first thing I would do is tackle the Bosch CIS K Tronic fuel injection and see how it runs. They do work great , but if the car hasn't been maintained properly or been sitting for awhile it may have problems. Likely have to change the injectors with new seals and fuel filter for starters. I've had my 80 Mark 1 Rabbit for a few years now, and am still dealing with a hard start issue when hot. I would like to see a video of the first start
I grew up with some Rabbits...my mom has a VW Dasher wagon...and my first car was an 88 VW Fox...I bought another Fox years later and sold it to a guy in MN he was making it AWD Quattro.
Always dug these. Own beetles and rabbits and golfs, just way cool

Cool Rocco 👍
Had a couple of these in my time. Great cars.

In Australia those are super rare!
You guys have a business. Keep us posted.
Nice car! I've always wanted one.
I love this car. Owned one of these and a gen one. Please film the restore!
If that's original paint try to save it. Clean it up and buff it out. They are only original once.
I had a 77 loved that car whet up/down the east coast with it, I always wanted another one

I hope so, it’ll be a daily!
1982 will be a 1.7L 8V.

Obviously Jason didn’t find it, it’s not covered in mud and have at least 2 flat tires. Good luck and enjoy.

I bet the car will look good when you've buffed the paint work.

So my roots are in air cooled and liquid!
AWD Fox is different!
I sold it on the Samba back in 08? Guy flew in to ILLINOIS and drove it back to MN.
I rock!!
👌👍
What is it with you 2 guys? You keep buying up all these cars, but never work on them. Or rarely anyway. Leave some for the rest of us! 😛
🤣 I do actually work on cars, I just never show it LOL
“Will it start?”
Buy a MK-2 Scirocco parts car, if you're going to use it, for a daily driver.
Wonder if your air cooled babies are gonna revolt now that you'll have a water machine in the driveway LOL.
There was a small uprising when I brought the Plymouth home🤣
Promo'SM 😅
lol
