I was there when they got inducted. It’s one of my highlights of my life. I’ve seen Pearl Jam 47 times and going to see them 4 more times Texas. Seeing them live it’s an amazing experience.
Rory just watched a full concert from Gimli Canada 8/14/93....grunge punk rock at its ultimate finest, u gotta watch it man....obvious that they made it into the rock and roll hall of fame
That was at the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for David Letterman, actually. David Letterman was just filling in for a sick Neil Young at the R&RHOF induction, he had a day or two to come up with a speech, and he knocked it out of the park. The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for David Letterman was also in 2017, the same year as the R&RHOF PJ induction.
@@lepetitoiseau No biggie, happens to all of us. Letterman's beard makes everything hard to place. XD I mean, just look at it, all full and grizzled and huge.
Rory....great insight.& thx. Letterman killed it. PJ Great live band & are still rocking stadiums all over the world. Eddy is a great talent & who is also a great human❤
Seeing Pearl Jam live is a gift. I saw them this past September, and I can tell you, they’ve still got it. Eddie even hurt himself dancing around and still finished the concert.
And Eddie Vedder is that great of a man. Truly a great human. He brought a girl up on stage that he met in front of the hotel that was suffering from depression. He made her day and some.
I've watched this a few times and every time i get emotional! I love David Letterman and him inducting them is awesome! And Eddie and Norm were friends. Eddie made some friends on Saturday Night Live. Rory you have only touch the surface of Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder. Have you seen the movie"Into The Wild"? He did the soundtrack to that movie solo its beautiful alot of finger picking. Anyways thank you for sharing this Rory and thank you Liz. Eddie is a really good guy but there's haters out there. I love your stories. 😊💓🤘✌️ Awesome reaction!!
@@lizmelo5374 ooh that is so sweet of you were thinking of me requesting this, I like to send out good vibes. Thank you that was so kind, I definitely appreciate you and everyone for requesting these videos for Rory to react to, so thank you your awesome! 😊💓🤘✌️
Hall of Fame needs to step up it game and stop pandering Warren Zevon Gram Parsons Sonic Youth Captain Beefheart MC5 These are my top 5 and their impact is immeasurable
I just found out Wayne Kramer will be playing guitar with Pere Ubu , I already had tickets before I know that Pere Ubu another Beefheart influenced bad : Eric Drew Feldman still plays with them
@@jessem470 I would love to hear that!!! I love "The gun club", jeffrey lee Pierce was fantastic ... I think you will have linked kramer to The Gun Club, I was a bit messy....
Weirdly enough Eddie was actually friends with Norm. Saw a clip of him dedicating a song to him at one of his concerts and saying some kind words for him shortly after his passing
Love Letterman ♥️ He showcased amazing talent for so many years. Great 'speech' here, and the perfect person to do the honors. 👍 Well-deserved, PJ👏 But RRHOF frosts my ass, especially these past few yrs. For example, SG getting robbed just now, yet again...

During the ceremony Eddie Vedder sings for Letterman, "Keep me in your heart" by the great Warren Zevon ... moving and beautiful moment!!!

I watched that when it aired on Letterman 😊
Corduroy is a beauty and a live show staple.
I’ll see if I can send you a link to Eddie Vedder inducting Neil Young. It’s pretty amusing. It was right in the middle of the Ticketmaster boycott.
That's a good one, and Eddie inducting The Doors Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and sang with the Doors, excellent performances!! 😊
You have to watched the video of Eddie and his first time on Late Night
