Does it function with an AMD Ryzen 1600 and RX580? My Friend has an Elegato HD60S+ and he struggles with the quality. He uses his PS4 as the Source and the OC as an "Encouder"

You don't have to if you don't want to, you could technically play off of your screen capture if you wanted to. The mini usb goes into the Elgato, the other end is a regular usb for your computer.
Hey. Any advice when i use the hd60s with a dual oc setup. Does not matter what i do i cant get my bitrate to stable at 6k. There is enough upload to do so coz i could manage with my single pc stream. Bitrate stays at about 2.5k-3.5k. Need help plz

It should just automatically be in sync, but you can go into the audio settings and manually change the timing I believe.
I use a wireless headset that connects to ps4 with usb dongle. How do I make sure the capture card records console audio (gameplay, my voice, and game chat or party chat)?

So I have 2 monitors and I’m setting up my Elegato so on the left I can play my xbox and on the right monitor I can have my OBS up and display my Xbox screen. The problem that I have ran into is that. Since I’m plugging in the HDMI from my xbox and I’m plugging it into the IN on the Elegato. How will I then play my game on my left screen if I only get 1 HDMI port on my xbox?
you do that and then add another hdmi cable and plug the cable from hdmi out from the elgato into the hdmi of your 2nd monitor
i want to do mobile conent, so i guess i wont be needing the monitor right? and if so, the extra hdmi cable... do i have to connect it to my laptop ?
You can always just stream from your phone for irl streams

I am trying to connect my Xbox headset into elgato and obs. I have the proper cord for it but it won’t show the audio being played in the audio mixer in obs. It’s silent
You can double click the Video Capture Device source and enable Custom Audio Device
My tv monitor is connected to the outlet of the capture card. PC recognizes it but now my obs wont show my visuals for the camera & the playstation keeps cutting in & out for the audio (no visuals at all). What am i doing wrong?

Try double clicking the video capture device source and enabling the custom/control audio (its called something like that) - also go into advanced audio mixer properties and enable monitor and output
Can the monitor i'm using be plugged to my pc via display port while streaming? My friends are saying the audio is not synced plus I can't hear my PC at all.

can you make this same video but for Streamlabs obs with the capture card and a PS4 but with the chat link cable cause I honestly don’t get how to use it. I just don’t know which one I should do either obs or streamlabs
Streamlabs OBS would probably be easier for you since it's an all-in-one package. Check out my video on how to use the HD60S and it sets it up with streamlabs

i recently bought the HD60 S+ , i downloaded the 4k capture link onto my gaming pc, i have OBS on my both streaming pc(laptop) and my gaming pc, ive managed to get the streaming pc to display what my gaming pc is showing, including the overlays, but the sound isnt coming through. i use a headset with a built in microphone thats plugged into my gaming pc...how do i get the streaming pc to pick up on my audio?

I don't own a neo unfortunately but I'd imagine it should be the same process (at least for the capture card) :D
So first question I had was where do you plug in your mic to talk and second how can I use my wireless headset to listen to game chat party chat etc?? Your vid helped a lot with everything else just can’t seem to get this audio part down
I'd look into the elgato chat link cable, I believe that's what you're looking for

Is there a way that I can hear the game audio through my wireless headphones using the Elgato HD60S+?
try going into your obs audio settings and turning on monitor and output in the advanced audio settings mixer for the capture card
So I have my legato all set up but the audio from my ps5 to Mac is not picking up I went into settings and only option it shows is Game Capture HD60 S+ it enabled with monitor and output but I still have no audio on the actual stream any fix?
Try going into the audio mixer in obs and enable monitoring - output and monitor

you can set the browser source audio to output and monitor at the same time in the obs advanced audio properties :D

You can't have 2 instances of it open at the same time. I recommend just using a video capture device source to capture the video footage and play on a separate TV with the hdmi out of the capture card :)

Yup! You'd play it from your Macbook Pro and it would come out of your desktop audio source :)
I have audio on my monitor I want to play on, but how do I get the audio from the monitor to be on my steaming computer to put headphones on while my audience can hear it too? I don't want the audio to be playing on my speakers because it would mess with my mic
So you can mute your monitor that you're playing on, then click on the capture cards audio settings in the obs audio mixer and enable audio monitoring :)
I have a couple questions when I go to my settings and see my desktop audio 1 and 2 they both say disabled and won’t let me choose anything….

You can record on separate audio tracks within obs so you can edit them separate in your video editor :)
Is there any way we can Stream Link from 'Elgato 4k Capture Utility'?
I can't really record or stream on OBS because my audio always delays, so it'd be nice if I could stream on this Capture Utility app
It says to add 'NDI source' on one of Elgato's videos but they don't show us what 'plug-in' to download

Ok one thing I’m running into is listening to game audio. So what I did was plug an aux cord into the elgato to a splitter into my PS5 controller but it’s extra wires.
How do u listen to the game with headphones ?? Cause once u plug in headphones to ur controller it mutes the OBS audio source, I don’t get it 😩

I have the HD60+ and apparently I can't properly use it without the NDI OBS plug in since 28 updated. I tried to use it with video capture card w/4k app and nothing shows up

Yeah you technically don't need the TV which means you don't need that extra hdmi cable. You could play off the game capture but just be warned that there may be some minor delay/latency when doing that :)
@@CpawsMusic alright thanks, I also heard that if you have a headset with a transceiver that it will not record or capture the audio such as people's reactions in game, could I leave you at that by having the transceiver in the computer and just playing through the capture

Double check your audio settings inside OBS, it should be under the Desktop Audio option, then pick the audio source there :)

I have two questions if you could help me out, first is that how come when I’m on x box party chat it only picks up my audio not my friends and last how come my capture card doesn’t pick up players in call of duty lobbies or even just people in game chat! Try setting your Xbox audio settings to come out of both your TV and your Headset, usually that forces it to capture all audio

So I set everything up correctly, and it’s coming up on super low frames on my streamlabs obs when I try to stream and I go to my game capture hd app on my pc, and it just says “device not supported “ does anyone know why this is happening??

Game chat is a little more difficult to get captured from what I heard, so not sure if that'll do it. You'll likely need to stream from your Laptop to capture the game chat.

4:13 al i get is elgato screen link when i connect it its a code and if i scan it, it takes me to some sort of site to record mobile, but i just want to record my switch every cable is connected and seems to just work but i can't click it there as only the elgato screen link is there, what am i supposed to do now?
It should just be as simple as plugging it in and choosing the capture card from the list. Are you sure you're choosing the right device in the drop down?

You can't have 2 captures going at the same time.

that's actually a great question! I've never had the experience of using the headphone port directly so I'm not sure. I'd love to hear your experience though after you try it :)

I have a question, I have an older Elgato Capture Card (Game Capture HD) and it is not showing up when I try to choose a device for video capture, do you know how to fix this? I am using a laptop that meets the specs required to run it, and also, I am plugging it in to a 3.0 USB port, the only reason I think of it not working is because the capture device is old, but if you or anyone knows how to fix it, it would be appreciated, it would save me some money from buying a $250 capture card.

I got a chatlink pro to have my game audio and party chat audio recorded but i get no audio coming through my elgato when i plug in my headphones i use obs.
Try setting your console audio to come through your headset and speakers in your console audio settings

The issues I'm trying to resolve and one you don't go into, which I'm surprised by actually is game audio to headphone. If your recording or streaming and your allowing the games audio to come through speakers it will then be picked up by mic and cause echoing. headphone are a must... In the properties for the capture card I selected audio output mode and sent capture card audio to desktop, which allows me to hear that capture card audio in my headphone but then the issue is a latency delay and sound is off by few seconds. I watched several video's now of streamer guided for elgato card & OBS and everyone seems to skip over this part.
Have you tried going into the audio settings and clicking "monitor and output" on the capture card audio?

Really struggling (can't) get audio from my xbox console to show up on my desktop. Elgato audio bar not showing any game audio. I had this issue 2 years ago and solved it, but have only set this up again and cannot remember... Thinking of deleting OBS and reinstalling from scratch 😢

Your videos have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. But I do have a question. My HD60S+ is capturing the screen/gameplay from my Xbox one S totally fine. I have a usb mic (AT2020) and an A40 headset with attached mic (no mix amp). If I wanted to just use the headset/mic, how do I make sure the capture card is getting my audio and Xbox party chat?
Also, if I decided I wanted to use my USB mic instead for the better quality, do you know how I would set that up? I’m sorry for the long question :(
So if you want to use the USB mic, then you should be able to go into the OBS audio settings and select the headset from the mic list :) The other question is a better question for the elgato team: www.elgato.com/en/contact
@@CpawsMusic shoutout to you for replying so quickly! I actually am testing it with my friend and recorded a test video. With the usb mic set up, my friend can hear me through the controller headset mic, I have audio output on Xbox to “headset & speakers” so he sounds super weird in my headset, but in OBS (and on my stream I would assume?) he sounds normal. Idk if this is how it’s supposed to be though😅

You need a USB 3.0 Port, not the cable, if you don't have one, you can get a different capture card on Amazon that does usb 2.0 :)

can you use a screen that is already connected to the computer, or do they have to be a screen you do not use, because yes I did play on my 29 "but it has a dd cable that goes to the computer or they are probably just taking it out in that case for it to work.Thank you very much for a fantastic video many greetings Rowex_Gaming sweden
@@Rowex_Gaming_sweden You could remove the screen from the computer and plug the HDMI into the capture card if you want or you can use the elgato game capture software and play directly from your computer monitor (but this method will likely cause some minor lag - especially noticeable if you're in esports) :)
i have a question, my ipad 10th generation isnt connecting/showing on 4k elgato software obs/streamlabs. Itll randomly work on obs but rarely, i just bought the adapter and everything but still nothing. I use an hd60 s is it too old or?
I don't believe you can use an ipad with the HD60S, only computers

I dont know if it is because its a Microsoft thing, but I cannot record game chat (when not in an Xbox party chat) with friends that are on PC. Any fix to that?

make sure that you don't have the elgato software open at the same time

you might be able to use an adapter, but id recommend contacting elgato support about that or going with a different capture card
Hello, great vid. I’m having an issue though, my elgato 60 s+ is connected properly but I’m having issues with the sources step.
Obs recognizes my 60s+ but picture doesn’t pop up like it does in the elgato studio, what am I doing wrong?
Hey Status! Make sure that you're not trying to have Elgato Studio open at the same time as you're trying to use it in OBS. It won't show up in OBS if you already have it running in Elgato Studio :)
@@CpawsMusic thank you for responding, I did have elgato studio open while trying to stream video on obs. I thought you had to have both open. I’ll see if it makes a difference now.

I cant figure it out, many videos show that the game just poofs onto the OBS system, but all I have is a black screen :( ive tried to switch the hmdi connections many times

Sup, cpaws? You helped me out a year ago, and im hoping you can again.
So im using obs, and im using a hyper X mic with some random earphones connected to the back of the mic.
The audio mixer in the obs is showing that my mic is picking up sound from my mic. My hyperX is connected to my laptop.
The problem im having is that i can't hear game audio from the headphones that are currently connected to the hyperx mic.
In obs, my current sources are
ELGATO CAPTURE CARD
That's it...
Desktop audio is not working
Elgato caprure card is not working
The only skund coming through is MIC/AUX
If you can, please help me out with the audio, or if you have a video addressing this, please put the link

So I’ve added my Elgato game capture and my webcam, but for some reason my webcam freezes for a reason I don’t know?
Has anyone else had the happen before? My capture card is working perfectly- then when I add my webcam too it. It will freeze up randomly or when i crop the webcam- I switch it back to Elgato game capture and my webcam freezes
