To make this ranking, an overall for each game has been made with the press reviews for this game. Thus, we get a score out of 100. (You can see all the scores at 9:00) What do you think ? What is your ranking of the best and worst NBA 2K games ?
I think it's pretty fair. I know 2k11 has a lot of love to be #1, but 2k11 had a lot of exploits that ruined it for me, the spin dunk was a deal breaker for me. 2k12 is 2k11 Deluxe. It had more Legendary teams than 11, I loved the new post moves and the retro filters for the nba greatest mode was fantastic. It's impossible to judge them all fairly and make everyone happy, we all have different opinions. My personal favorite game is still NBA 2k16, then 2k12, then 2k11. 2K13 is still amazing, but that game was hurt by not being able to block dunks and the eurostep 3 pointer cheese was brutal. But if you play it like a real basketball player, 13 is still increcible to this day. 14 is no slouch either. 15 on next gen is still super fun. I'd say the worst game in the last 10 years has to be 2k18. Although I still get fun playing with friends and you can't deny it was awesome when they added the all time teams.
I love the fact that your parents will come in on you playing 2k and they will say “What you watching? Basketball?” And if you say yes they’ll believe you for a while
I said that a year ago, but the more I play 17, I really like it, I'd say they're both great playing. It's odd too, because I think I thought 17 was horrible at it's launch. But now, with all the patches, I think 17 is darn good. However, 16 seems to have a better stronger adaptive AI than 17 does. Honestly, I don't leave 15 out of the contention, I played it yesterday and with some good sliders, that's an amazing game.
@@gmvdmvn 16 was good too but 19 had a good balance between shooting, defense, and most importantly actually being able to make contested layups which is something other 2k games didnt have. Park was kinda only for shooters but it was still fun.
NBA2k by SEGA Sports was probably my most played game on the Dreamcast. I thought the gameplay was more fun and intuitive than 2k2. So cool to see others agree and that it is ranked #2 of the series!
2K14 was my favourite. The hype for new gen, the incredible graphics, the gameplay was fun and it was my introduction to Basketball. I had discovered my team through the game and whenever I hear the soundtrack, a wave of nostalgia hits me.
Here’s my top 5 1. 2K11 2. 2K9 3. 2K16 4. 2K12 5. 2K14 *(PS I only been playing since 2K5 but I’m pretty sure the ones I missed aren’t better than my top 5)*
Got 2k17 for $4 yesterday, almost missed work(real life) so i could put more work in at the gym(video game), sucks its the year after kobe retired, menu not as cool as 2k16(so ive heard) but lovin it at the moment, mycareer is awesome and now that the season has been suspended(real life) its time to win some championships(video game) LOL
The 2k11 is the true 2k20. Good ranking However, I think that NBA 2k, 2k1 and 2k2 are in very high positions. They were just getting started and didn't have many game modes

The NBA games that I have is 2k3, 2k8, 2k9, 2k12, 2k13, 2k15, (I used to have 2k16) 2k17, 2k20 I think 2k20 is my least favorite. 2k3 and the older 2ks were my favourite. I know I'm probably not correct, but I think 2k15 was the best

I sold 2k20 I had for the Switch for four months since it was extremely hard to play against any team no matter how good your own team was. I mean, I understand the method (aggregate of review scores) but any ranking system that doesn't result in ESPN NBA Basketball 2004 being dead last (or at least right next to it) is going to be off kilter. I lived through that era and the two highlights shared in the video are probably the best I've ever seen the game look. Otherwise, 2004 stood as 2K's futile attempt to stop with everything that made their games great prior and instead poorly copy EA's street dynamic. Blocked shots had contrails, all the dunk animations made the players float for a moment, and guys like Chauncey Billups were dunking on Shaq from the free throw line (I'm not exaggerating). I was a huge NBA 2K fan back then and bought ESPN NBA Basketball 2004 on release day. Had some homework to finish before playing but I'll never forget my friend getting first play then coming into my room afterward and being like, "Um, dude, I think we're going to have a problem." 2K spent years trying to revert back to their 2K2-2K3 pattern thereafter.

It shows too how press is more strict with 2k through the years. 2k20 is the lowest rated 2k. I love 2k20, objectively, it’s better than first 2k games, but in 2020, it’s not a revolution like were first 2ks. I think 2k need a serious concurrent to elevate the level of next games. I hope nba live will comeback soon

It’s clear as day that these people who are complaining about the ratings about why “NBA 2k11, NBA2K13, NBA 2k16” aren’t rated at the higher levels weren’t playing those earlier 2Ks. They don’t understand context or influence on the genre and those first three 2Ks were revolutionary basketball games.
Good video, definitely shows a perspective on what the reviews call the best nba 2k game ever which is their opinion and I do respect their opinion. Which is what reviews are and yes even though I read reviews on video games doesn't mean that it's the end all be all. Everyone has their favorite NBA 2k game, My all time favorite is NBA 2k5 because it was the first NBA 2k game that I ever played. But on the current gen consoles my favorite NBA 2k game is and always will be NBA 2k16 because of how beautiful the lighting is in the game and how I enjoyed the game modes as well as the gameplay

At least FIFA has a little competition with PES. Despite uncontable things, PES resists. NBA 2K is alone. There isn't another basketball game because NBA Live is dead.
The pes and Fifa bs is ridiculous now tho. They have exclusive deals with certain clubs/leagues to try sway you to either game which just leads both games lacking in content. I.e. Juventus is "piemonte calcio" in Fifa 20 lol.
2k11 PS3 or Xbox 360 is the king... But don’t allow the patch, it hurt the game overall, it’s easy to avoid and take off if you download it on accident.... As far as 2k16, it’s solid, but it needs slider adjustments to make it play right ...

@@sakimtornado .... Make sure to leave the patch off it, just turn off your internet connection when playing it, the patch is terrible, and attempted to hurt the game... If you do accidentally download it it’s easy to remove so no worries... The patch altered the shooting in a negative way...

2k11 PS3 or Xbox 360 is the king... But don’t allow the patch, it hurt the game overall, it’s easy to avoid and take off if you download it on accident.... As far as 2k16, it’s solid, but it needs slider adjustments to make it play right ...
@@funkyflights purchase 2k16 a month ago. ur right. the comp is too op when it wants to win. had to slide the cpu mid and close shot down a few.

@@sakimtornado .... Make sure to leave the patch off it, just turn off your internet connection when playing it, the patch is terrible, and attempted to hurt the game... If you do accidentally download it it’s easy to remove so no worries... The patch altered the shooting in a negative way...
